When the technician arrived, I showed him the holes, runways, and plant damage, but he focused on moles and told me he did not think I had voles. I repeatedly explained that voles were the reason I had called. He ultimately told me the treatment he was providing would "take care of both moles AND voles," so I agreed to proceed. This was assured to me numerous times. Afterward, the paperwork described a "Mole Yard Treatment," stated that no vole activity was observed, and showed that the service was a target mole treatment plus a granular animal repellent. I had already tried repellents myself; I hired a pest-control company because I wanted the actual vole problem treated. A repellent is not equivalent to infestation treatment. The apparent lack of knowledge about voles and the inability to properly identify the problem I had specifically hired them to address was concerning to me. Given that pest identification is such a basic part of effective treatment, that significantly undermined my confidence in the service. When I contacted the company about the mismatch, I expected them to apologize for the confusion and perform the service I was originally told I was paying for. Instead, they defended what had been done and tried to manipulate the situation, refusing any accountability. At different points they relied on the fact that the granular product could deter voles, while also explaining that their targeted vole protocol had not been performed because the technician said he did not identify active vole holes. That was exactly the problem: I had hired them for voles, repeatedly told the technician about the voles during the visit, and was assured the treatment would address them. The issue eventually resulted in a credit-card dispute that was resolved in my favor. The company still maintains that I owe the balance and continues sending automated invoices even after I asked them in writing to stop.

They were one of 3 contractors I collected bids from. Shortly after that, I received an email response with a coupon for $50 off, and a phone number which I called to set up an appointment for the estimate inspection. Four days later, the owner of the company, Ed Clement, came out and went into my attic. Ed gave me a price to bring my attic up to the "Industry Standard" which is R-49. I asked him to email the estimate, which he did, and it was very reasonable. We set a date for him to do the work on April 25th. Ed knows what he's doing, and completed insulating our 1218 square foot house attic in under an hour. He added 16 inches of insulation. He took several pictures, which he texted me while he was still at our home. Besides, sweeping the little insulation scraps on my garage floor and on the driveway, he removed two pieces of wood that I had left in the attic a few years earlier while I installed a fan in our kitchen. Ed was easy to work with, answered all of my questions, and gave us a good price. I highly recommend AddictInsulation for your insulating needs. I always received an email to schedule, but I didn't always notice that it was from them because there was no business name displayed. After some time, I called to get the service scheduled again. I took the day off work so I could be here on the scheduled day, and they showed up in the window that was promised. Their service vehicle was a mess on the outside, with paint peeling all over the front etc. It's just something worth mentioning because it makes them look a little less professional. I went over the grounds to describe the issues that I am having. I really needed to get things taken care of and was happy that they were here to perform the spraying. They were here for about 30 min. or less before I was told that they would have to come back some other time since their sprayer was not working. That was disappointing since I needed service sooner rather than later. Great, now I have to get back on a schedule and back in line and wait. I have no idea what was treated before the sprayer broke, or if anything was treated at all. This kind of information would have been nice. I received a VM from the office to reschedule - No apologies for the inconvenience of my taking off work for this appointment or anything. Just a "call us back to reschedule" type of thing. The last thing I need is to take off work again with the potential of the job not being able to be completed. I am going to go with another local provider and hope for the best.
