I am a 62 year old woman who felt like a family member was helping me with my vehicles. Had muffler replaced in 1999 Toyota and it took no more than 30 minutes. Took my 2010 Hyundai Tucson in and he had to order muffler. It came in exactly when he said and took no more than 15 minutes to put on. I am very satisfied with this cute little shop that is run by a courteous young man and his respectful polite son. Would recommend it to all who are looking for muffler replacement. read more

I had a muffler replaced at Economy Muffler. I was very impressed with the service and knowledge of the owner who worked on my car. When he was finished he insisted that I inspect his work which usually doesn't happen. He had a great sense of humour and was in the process of teaching his son the ins and outs of the business. I was impressed with the way that he worked with his son. The cost was a quarter of what I had been quoted in Canada. I would definitely recommend this business. read more

I recently purchased a used Borla exhaust for my Z06. I asked around at different shops to see how much they'd charge to swap the OEM for the Borla's. Cheapest estimate I got was 3 hours at $85 an hour!! It's a simple bolt on, no more than 2 hours of work (worst case). I would've done it myself but getting the Z on a swing arm lift (only one available to me) is a monumental task, and the car doesn't come with a jack or stands. I'd have to buy a low profile jack at $150 minimum plus $30 jack stands. Ok, getting back to Economy Muffler. Kevin (owner) quoted me $150... I jumped on that. He did the work, took amazing care of my new cat back, extremely knowledgeable, overall great guy. 2 hours later I am roaring around town. Love the work he did, LOVE my new exhaust. It's been over 1 month and I still think about the great work he did and the only reason I joined Yelp was to write this review. Well Import auto is the best part place in Yuma and when I needed some exhaust work done I asked them who they recommend. They said Economy Muffler. Well I called the guy up and asked about fixing a crack in my exhaust. He said that if it was just a crack and it was away from fuel lines etc... he would charge me 20 dollars!!! That is insanely low in my opinion for that kind of work. Well some things came up and a few weeks later I called him up to see when a good time would be. He told me he was starting a job and should be done in about 3 hours +- 15 minutes. So I showed up just over 3 hours and he was just finishing up(Nice!!!). He had me put my truck up on the lifts and then told me it would be 20 dollars and it had to be cash. No problem I told him... then he took his welder and went under my truck and 15 minutes later he was done. The owner/welder knew his stuff, his prices are fair, and he was very quick. The only down side was perhaps the fact he didn't take visa... but honestly it wasn't that big of a deal. I was the only guy there getting repairs, everyone else was getting their exhaust modified. Looks like this guys is the place to go if you want to mod your exhaust. :) If you can do your own exhaust work good for you... for the rest of us try Economy Muffler. I recently purchased a 2013 VW Bug and I wanted something different than the basic tails'. The owner (Kevin) recommended polished stainless steel 'turn-downs' that fit perfectly over the relatively narrow stock muffler dual pipes. He also staggered the tips so the outboard tip protrudes out just slightly to follow the radius of the rear bumper. The end result looks fantastic and I'm very grateful for his recommendations. They definitely look different from any other arrangement I'm seeing on other Bugs' and yet they are not overstated. I mean after all, it's a Bug' and not a muscle car. This is my third vehicle that 'Economy Muffler' has worked on, and this is a testament to my confidence and satisfaction with his work. Also, his prices are very fair and yet the quality of work is truly remarkable! It's not often that you can take your car anywhere for custom work and have it done right the first time without any surprises. Believe you me, I have considerable experience with customizing cars, and sometimes you just find the right person for the right job and that's very satisfying. Called Economy Muffler today and glad I did. After talking to Kevin (owner) I took my 1967 Camaro SS down to his shop. I am not crazy about leaving my car any place. But Kevin has respect for your vehicle. He put 2 1/4 pipes and new mufflers on and wow great job. Does older and newer cars and trucks.
