I'd like to give the technician, Miguel, 5 stars because he was polite, explained his job, and was very good with our dog! (A definite bonus!) After Miguel informed me that he'd also be treating throughout the inside, I realized we hadn't been informed of the preparations needed beforehand. He kindly suggested we have him return later in the week to complete the job. Unfortunately we had scheduled contract work that kept us from having the indoor treatment done, so we canceled the indoor session. Sadly, the cost remained the same! Lesson learned. I do recommend Miguel -- but be prepared to have to move furniture from all the walls, and stay out of the house, etc! read more

I've had amazing experiences using Eco Systems. I have had the home protection plan for about a year now, and every technician I've had has been on-time, friendly, and knowledgeable. This company is great with communicating what time they'll be coming, and every question or request I have is answered. Over the winter I had a mouse and meal moth problem that was taken care of, now with the hot weather I was starting to see carpenter ants, all of it has been treated successfully. I just scheduled a yard treatment for mosquitos and ticks, and trust that they will do a great job with those as well. I have two dogs and a baby and know that they're going to be safe at home and in the yard using this company. My landlord hired Eco Systems Pest control because another tenant had bed bugs. We were informed that we, along with two floors of the building, would have to have the treatment for a total of 3 time over the course of 6 weeks. Everything was all set up by our landlord and we followed the easy guidelines given to us from the company. When we returned home from the first treatment we found a lamp broken and our household items tossed around. The bottom of our couches were cut open without being asked permission or informing us that they would do so, and the technicians also left all of the garbage and heavy duty staples from the couches on the ground for us to deal with. If that wasn't bad enough, we found boot tracks along the floors and even a few spare latex gloves strewn about, all for us to pick up and clean. Worst of all is that the technicians actually left their spray and equipment still inside our apartment, which only added insult to injury of a poorly done operation where the technicians clearly for our home, our privacy and our cleanliness. We have three cats who were vacated from the premises for the treatment and returned home with us, but we are lucky that we surveyed the apartment before letting them out. Who knows what could of happened if they had gotten into the equipment or had come across the stray staples all over the floor. On the second treatment, they did absolutely nothing. They lied to our landlord saying that we did not clear out our closets, even though they were completely bare. They also went on to tell them that we were clear of bed bugs without even doing anything. They will be returning again in two weeks for the final treatment, even though they did not even make an attempt at the second one, and to this I ask -- why even bother? if they're going to phone it in, then I'd rather they just call our landlord and lie over a phone rather than force us to deal with the mess of rearranging our apartment to suit their inexplicable whims. If it were my decision, I would never let them in my apartment again. read more

When you think of pest control you think toxic, unpleasant, and temporary - right? Eco Systems is none of the above. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they use non-toxic, plant-derived compounds in homes and schools to virtually eliminate crawling bugs and rodents. We have used them for 7 years in our home after finding lots of evidence of mice in the kitchen, basement, and barn. We have yet to see a mouse since. Even in our barn! They offer an economical annual plan, come out twice a year, or any time you need them for a checkup (I heard a squirrel in the attic once, Eric came out, found the spot it was starting a nest, made sure it was nowhere else in the attic, and sealed the hole shut with wire mesh. Great customer service. We noticed a nest of yellow jackets under our backyard porch stairs on Saturday. I called around 10:30am and spoke to the owner who was answering phones. He was going to get someone out on Monday but when I told him we were planning a cookout on Sunday he didn't hesitate and said he'd get someone to do overtime and would have a tech at our home by 1:30pm same day Saturday. Nice to know they are so dedicated to their customers! Happy to say there are no signs of the yellow jackets! read more

Very disappointed with the service and their ineffective treatments. The previous owner of our office building had service contract with Eco System, so when one of the tenants reported a noise in the wall, we called and Paul came, looked at the property, provided a reasonable proposal and we proceeded with treatments. A few mice were caught after the initial deployment of traps, but the entry points were not closed off according to their proposal. The follow up visits were sloppy, several times tenants reported activities days after an "all clear" progress report. Once flies were reported, and instead of address the root problem (dead critter in the ceiling), they wanted to charge extra to spray the flies. Now more than 9 months into the process, things were getting worse, as we have a squirrel problem which we have to pay another company to take care of. Paul came back a few weeks ago and acknowledged the shortcomings, but did not offer any remedies, and has not returned my calls since. read more

I cannot understand how (or why) these people are in business. The first time I called them for service, they referred me to a second party company who failed to return any phone calls. I got the work done by another company I found myself. The second time I called, they promised me a direct return call with 24 hours. Here it is on day four since and still no return call. I have already contacted another company myself and the inspection and work are already in progress. I will never waste my time calling these people again - if they cannot even handle common business courtesy in returning phone calls, they neither deserve nor get any business from me - and hopefully, not from you , either. read more

Update: owner of the company came out himself to inspect my house and assured me he would come back at my convenience with one of his techs to make sure no stone is unturned and every square inch of the house would be treated. True to his word he arrive on time and treated the house again. So far in two weeks we have only seen one flea and things seem to be going well. Hint of advice, if treatment doesn't take the first time go right to the owner. He made sure things got done right the fifth time. read more

I have never written a review about a company, but after my most recent experience with EcoSystems, I feel compelled to do so. EcoSystems has serviced us quarterly for the past 10 years for pest maintenance because we are surrounded by woods. During that time, they have been accommodating scheduling appointments and meeting our needs. No complaints at all. Over this time, I spoke to the office staff regularly and they were polite and helpful. Until now. There appears to be some new people in the office - one named Ashley, and I don't know the other woman. Ashley is the rudest person I have ever come into contact with. There was a mistake on their end with scheduling, no big deal - it happens, but the follow-up customer service was absolutely unacceptable. I was truly speechless when I hung up the phone with this gal - a real attitude. I immediately canceled service with them and I will surely be spreading the word. I asked to speak to the office manager so that she would be aware of the inappropriate customer service and could address the problem as to hopefully retain good company business and respect, but unfortunately, she was marginally better than Ashley. less than 1 star if possible. I live next to a house that was treated by this company technician. He walked through my yard with a spray hose and nozzle and proceeded to spray the side of a house with talstar insecticide. He sprayed up to the second floor around the windows and trampled by new lawn I am trying to grow. Not only is that a violation of using this insecticide in this manner, it is also an illegal application because the over spray landing in my yard and his contaminated hose dragging along the ground. There are no warning flags posted anywhere to tell you that a pesticide has been applied as a turf application between a common area of adjoining properties or the sidewalk grass areas on a public access road.. This tech needs training and to be audited by the Dept. Of Agriculture ..He definitely does not follow the label or Regulations. I might pursue this further. Not Happy. read more
