I have CIRS which is myotoxin illness. We had mold in our HVAC system and my home was making me very sick. We reached out to Josh and he had never heard of CIRS before. The inspector who came to my house spent time with Josh to go over what needed to be done. We hired ECO to do the job of particle cleaning, replacing all of our duct work and sealing up the ceiling and vents after the ducts were installed. Based on the experience we had and in our honest opinion, we would not recommend Eco Restoration and Construction. Josh Shon lacks the compassion, involvement and knowledge of mold illness as well as how to manage a project. Communication and transparency are also a huge concern with this company. Josh, Anna and his team are extremely unprofessional, combative and defensive. Josh and his office made a stressful situation even more stressful for us. We were told this would be a two week job. However, during the job, Josh made several requests for payment outside of the agreed upon timeline in the contract that we all signed and stated that the terms of the contract no longer worked for them. When these payments outside of the agreed upon terms were not made, he withheld work from being done. Workers did not show up for days at a time and communication with them was extremely combative. He then said we were withholding money from them, so we did send more money so the job would continue. We paid a significant amount upfront before the job even started. They are extremely difficult to work with. Josh is also not as involved in projects. He leaves that to his office who communicate with you via text or phone calls. Josh rarely checks up on jobs, therefore it delays the jobs because no one knows what's going on or needs to be done. At the end of the project, they were to put texture back on our ceiling. They used the wrong texture and it looked awful. We let them know and sent pictures. Josh's response was, "Texture will never match, we blended it then best we could , as we told you this is patching." We sent a video of it and then the office agreed to send workers back, at this point, we didn't want Josh and his team to finish the job as we had a very uncomfortable and again combative interaction with Josh and his wife in our home when we let them know we were not happy with how the job has been going. They also didn't finish a few items that were left on the "punch list " that Josh made. There were several more instances. They also have it in their contract that you cannot post about them on any social media channels without their approval. This is not the company to work with especially if you are dealing with any health issues. read more

We are first-time homeowners and needed a good amount of work done before we moved in, including popcorn ceiling scraping, ceiling and rooms painted, drywall patching and air duct cleaning. Our sink overflowed and flooded our laundry room and hallway on the second floor. There was,however,so much water that it went through the ceiling and downstairs into our dining room, living room and downstairs hallway. We were overwhelmed with fear that there would be horrible water damage. Eco restoration came highly referred . We called them and they came out right away and put fans, dehumidifiers and scaffolding for the elevated areas. They tested with probes to find moisture and they came out repeatedly to check the progress of the drying and made adjustments to equipment as needed,based on the readings. The technicians were very professional and wore masks as well. We feel confident that they were able to get all of the areas dry. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking mitigation following a flood in their home. read more

Josh and his team did a phenomenal job. After the hurricane, I was giving a referral by my adjuster to use a mold remediation company. They came and did the work twice. Removed a bunch of unnecessary walls and dry out the place. They did all that without once having a mold test done. I ordered a mold test after the fact myself, only to find out that they're was more mold than before due to them spreading the mold all over the place. Contacted Eco restoration and they went above and beyond to help us get rid of everything. I highly recommend them. read more

Wonderful experience with Josh and his crew. My A/C drain line backed up and flooded a large area behind the cabinet. This led to the need for mold remediation services. The communication was clear and straightforward from the start. Josh walked me through every step of the process which can be frustrating at times. His crew were always punctual, courteous and did a nice job cleaning up. There was always cost effective solutions presented when they ran into unforeseen situations. I entered into an agreement with ECO to do mold remediation in Boca Raton. After signing an agreement I made all progress payments as required by the signed agreement. At the end of the job, the owner Josh Shon, tried billing me for extra€ work that he claimed he did and tacked extras costs onto the final invoice. I never authorized and was never given any change orders that authorized any extra€ work. The work that was completed by ECO was within the scope of work originally agreed to, in writing. After many aggravating emails arguing back and forth with Josh Shon he agreed to accept my final payment as per the agreement, as payment in full. Fast forward five months, my insurance company was to reimburse me for the expense I incurred for mold remediation. The insurance company had made the check payable to ECO in error and sent it to them. ECO notified me that they had received the insurance check and again demanded that I pay for the “extra” work that they had 5 months prior agreed was not due, by acceptance of final payment and notation as final payment on their invoice. Only after numerous emails did Josh Shon finally agree to send the check back to the insurance company. The tactic used by ECO to try and squeeze more money out of me was dishonest and dirty. The crew did a great job in a timely matter. They found the leak right away . I will use them again.

In 2014 I had my kitchen redone by this company. A couple years later, all the of the doors to the cabinets kept coming loose. I'd tighten, they'd loosen again. I should have called back when they first started coming lose and that's my fault. Now recently the doors have started falling off because the hinges have started to break. One nearly fell ON me as I opened it. I contacted Josh and they sent some men out to assess. Basically when they installed the kitchen they used cheap hinges that only attach to the cabinets with 2 screws rather than 4. They're heavy doors. They said they could replace them with better hinges and they'd let me know the cost soon. A few days later I get a quote for $787. To replace HINGES. Superior hinges that should have been used when they first installed the kitchen but I guess they wanted to increase their profit margin and give me cheaper products. I ask if there is a way to bring cost down or if I could just purchase the hinges from them. Josh then sends me a quote for $472 to replace only the broken hinges, which there are a total of 4. $472 to replace FOUR HINGES. The explanation I'm given is because their "master carpenter" installs them. I again ask if I can purchase the parts myself and install or have someone else install. He tells me they don't sell them but he'll try to get the name of the place they buy them from from his "master carpenter". Fine, they say they'll let me know when they find out. I said I'll reach out next week to follow up. He tells me not reach out again. So with that I can tell they just don't want to stand behind their work that doesn't hold up for even a couple years before it all falls apart. This company is not worth their inflated prices. While it may look nice at first, the quality is subpar and will not last. read more
