I left my car with the attendant and got a call after about an hour and a half telling me it was ready (good service!). I had a good look over the car when I got home and was disappointed to find that most of the interior work promised on the website had not been done (if it had, it was to such a poor standard that it wasn't noticable). The dashboard hadn't been wiped or cleaned, the interior glass was still smudged and the door rims were still muddy. Pretty basic stuff I thought, and my car wasn't even that messy! The carpets had been well hoovered, so that was a plus. The exterior work was okay, about what you'd get from a standard car wash. Unfortunately, the dead bugs hadn't been completely removed from the front end and the wing mirrors hadn't been touched. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience and I wouldn't use the place again. However, I know many people in the North Down area swear by Nice 'N Clean, so maybe I just caught them on a bad day!

Charles Hurst Tyres are based behind all the swish car places on Boucher Rd, Belfast. Lots of customer parking available and the usual tea, coffee and chats while you wait. If you've had an unfortunate case, like myself of a wee niggily critter making itself at home in your tyres Charles Hurst Tyres will remove it and fix it for free if they can! AMAZING!! I was in and out within 15 minutes. Happy camper!

They took a fair bit of convincing to accept that they had to fix it, even after seeing the cable hanging down. Everyone makes mistakes, but the thing is: there are PROCEDURES to avoid making mistakes, when it comes to maintaining your car properly, protecting lives etc.: guidelines on how much to tighten things, crazy notions about having senior people checking what junior employees do, etc. These guys obviously don't follow any such procedures. Avoid at all costs.

Where any work has been required outside of my normal annual service & MOT check, I am always informed (accurately) of the cost and asked to authorise before the work is undertaken. The call-answering person redirected the call to the Lisburn location, as the Belfast BT4 location was not available on a Saturday for service matters. I was told that only a Ford-trained mechanic could inform me whether the existing Heater Control Unit (I abbreviate as HCU) needed replacing, or whether a service repair would suffice. I went to the Belfast location, left a number, was expecting a call back but all morning nothing, so I will have to call them now via the call-routing system - the number can be found by searching on Google or other search engine. To call in, when a customer rings the main Tel number, the call is diverted through a call routing system. (press 1 for Topic A; press 2 for Topic B, press 3 for Topic C, etc). This is for efficiency and call-tracing, but the caller needs to know whether they need the Ford Parts desk, to book a service appointment or to speak to Sales, for instance. My query was finally taken by Parts.
