I've had tyres changed and wheel alignment done here and would recommend them - the staff are friendly and fast and you are usually dealt with rapidly. Their pricing seems fair also. read more

When I got home I changed the flat tyre to a temp and pulled the huge screw (see picture) that I had run over out of my tyre! To me the tyre looked unfixable due to the size of the puncture so I was resigned to having to fork out for a brand new tyre. After some searching on Yelp I came across George Fagan on the Antrim Road which was nice and handy for me as I didn't want to drive too far with my temp wheel. I decided to call George to find out the craic with tyre replacements and booking in with them and once I explained what I needed the guy on the phone said, 'sure bring her down and we'll have a look!' To be honest I wasn't too optimistic as going by past experiences not having a time slot booked in at a garage can mean a long wait. I headed down anyway as I had a busy day and needed my car to do some pick ups. One thing to note is that George Fagan is on a really busy road so you're best parking on one of the side streets and walking up to the garage, especially if you don't have a booking. I went in and the mechanic told me to 'pull my car round front' and they'd be with me in 5 minutes. It was in fact only 2 minutes until a younger mechanic came and took the punctured tyre from my car and said he'd be back in a minute. Sure enough he did come back in a minute and take off the temp and put on a freshly repaired tyre. Literally I didn't get out of my car during this whole process! He even jacked it up with me in it! He then told me he had fixed my tyre and to keep an eye on it as it was a big hole. He said we may as well see if we can save you from forking out for a new tyre! I couldn't believe it, a mechanic who was trying to save me a few quid! The tyre repair cost £10 in total and I was at the garage for a total of 10 minutes! Unbelievable service! I'll definitely be back when my MOT comes round! These guys really seem to know their stuff and what's best os they are looking out for you!

Their prices aren't unbearable either - sort of reasonable for the service you're getting. There is plenty of parking in the lot too, so you can leave your car in and come back for it later.

They also do steam cleaning for MOTand PSV checks. The car wash is operated by two people which makes it quick and efficient when there is a line if cars waiting which is common on a Saarurday. It is also useful if you are with toddler who is petrified of the usual petrol station car wash machines, as it is all manual. Extreme Clean offer a car wash for £5 which is good value and they will give your car, van or lorry a coat of wax for an extra pound. One extra little thing they do is clean the inside of your doors and your alloys. I must admit that I was a little bit worried that I was going to get soaked when the attendant reached for the door handle, all those childhood super soaker moments came flooding back, but to my surprise I stayed bone dry and the inside of the door looked nice and shinny. The service was excellent, the wash took 5 minutes and the car was gleaming, we even splashed out on a coat of wax. Big spenders eh? The one other thing I learned about this business is that it sells gift vouchers far all its services including valet.
