They agreed to arrange for the body work, to have the alloys recoated and finally for a full 'PMG -Detail' which was meant to leave the car absolutely spotless and in perfect order. We discussed numerous details and I asked them to leave nothing undone - everything that could be done, should be. Unfortunately, this arrangement did not work out very well. It started with delays, my car was to be done in two weeks. It took three. Nothing else was done but the body work - I cannot speak to the quality of their polishing the paintwork because I was not allowed to see it before they started. The car was painted and the paint job is ok. The wheels look fine, although they increased the cost 25%, mid-job, even though I made no alterations. I paid a very fair sum for this work, it was no favour. The supposed 'detailing' for which I approached them in the first place - was terrible. There is so much dirt left in and on the car, no attention to detail, it was definitely cleaner when I left it with them initially. They 'polished' under the bonnet using some shiny oil, but left grime on most of the painted surfaces. It wasn't even power washed well. They changed the reg plate surrounds - but installed the rear one very badly and it came apart right after driving away. They destroyed the Mercedes badge on the boot and I'll have to get it replaced. None of the requests we agreed at the start were done, despite my numerous communications and their confirmation that it would all be 'no problem'. I sought to get this all rectified, but they've continuously lied and let me down on every aspect. I had arranged with them for the window tinting - which they never got done - and they quoted £150, of course I just rang the company they claim to use and was told it would cost £80. They've also kept the USB port I supplied for installation into the car - despite my requesting it's return... apparently 'they can't find it now'. (The item was eventually returned, after I had replaced it myself.) Clearly my car was not a priority and not given the care and attention apparently lavished on other clients. I'll not be speaking with PMG again or referring anyone there at all.

While my car is relatively new there were a few marks in the paint left by the dealers poor preparation which I wanted removed and I knew the red Volkswagen paint was very soft and prone to marking easily. PMG being a Gtechniq certified detailer has access to crystal serum black a professional only product and this is what I went opted for. I also opted PMGs on formula glass sealant. On collecting the car it was better than new (and I would know as I bought it new). The paintwork was flawless and the gloss from it was unbelievable. I was under no illustration that what I was asking for wasn't cheap but Pete and his team offer an exceptional service and I believe are reasonably priced. I will be using again without a doubt.

Charles Hurst Tyres are based behind all the swish car places on Boucher Rd, Belfast. Lots of customer parking available and the usual tea, coffee and chats while you wait. If you've had an unfortunate case, like myself of a wee niggily critter making itself at home in your tyres Charles Hurst Tyres will remove it and fix it for free if they can! AMAZING!! I was in and out within 15 minutes. Happy camper!

The tyre was replaced within 5 minutes and at an affordable price too! Part worn tyres from as little as £20 and brand new from £40. The boys appeared quite helpful, friendly and willing to help! No messing around, no fuss just got the job done and when ur car is required daily that's what you like to see :)

I used the service recently for a valet, both interior and exterior. The service isn't cheap but…read moreseems to be in line with other companies operating in the area. I left my car with the attendant and got a call after about an hour and a half telling me it was ready (good service!). I had a good look over the car when I got home and was disappointed to find that most of the interior work promised on the website had not been done (if it had, it was to such a poor standard that it wasn't noticable). The dashboard hadn't been wiped or cleaned, the interior glass was still smudged and the door rims were still muddy. Pretty basic stuff I thought, and my car wasn't even that messy! The carpets had been well hoovered, so that was a plus. The exterior work was okay, about what you'd get from a standard car wash. Unfortunately, the dead bugs hadn't been completely removed from the front end and the wing mirrors hadn't been touched. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience and I wouldn't use the place again. However, I know many people in the North Down area swear by Nice 'N Clean, so maybe I just caught them on a bad day!

Topaz would probably suffice, seeing as it's the only one I know of out this side of Belfast, and is therefore already slightly unique when it comes to the world of petrol stations... I once paid a visit to Topaz (as it will henceforth be known), not for petrol, but because I had to do an errand for my boss. When she initially told me to go up to the Beersbridge Road Post Office, I was ever so slightly confused. "Where's that?", asked I, thinking I'd never come across it before. "Aww, sure it's up in the petrol station!", came the reply, to which I swiftly retorted, "Behind it? Or do you mean actually in the petrol station?!" Well, the latter it was. How strange. A petrol station-cum-post-office. Hadn't come across one of them before. The staff were darn lovely too, but unfortunately I had to go elsewhere to do my errand, as it turned out they didn't do what I needed them to. Oopsies. Very handy little place though...

Then there's the post office inside which I often use. It covers most needs apart from renewing car tax discs. The most noteworthy occurrence was that the lady behind the counter gave me a hand to stick on stamps when I was in the midst of a monster mail out. That's full marks to the staff, who are consistently helpful. The Bank of Ireland cashpoint inside is another handy thing which has appeared since the branch closed down on the Newtownards Road. Altogether, it's a reliable and useful filling station though it doesn't yet have the embellishments that others have such as hot drinks and food.

The shop is really well stocked and has a hot food bar and coffee bar available. Plenty of parking and space available outside and being on the main road makes it convenient and handy for local residents! I nip in here for a quick coffee on most days as its a fraction of the price of the chain coffee stores that's are available elsewhere :)
