We brought our ford escape here to have all the windows tinted before the summer. Pricing was great and exactly what Lee quoted us over the phone. Tint looks amazing and smooth. While the pricing was affordable and the quality was reflected by their hard work, the shop stood out most for the way they take care of their clients. Eclipse Tinting is the definition of an above and beyond customer service experience. Lee was welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. We've not been able to easily open our back driver-side door for the better part of a year. Without being asked, Lee took it upon himself to fix it for us and probably saved us a few hundred dollars. Been coming here for many years. Solid guys that stand behind their work. We personally have had 4 vehicles tinted or retinted here and have been very happy with the results. This year is our 30 year Anniversary of doing business here in the Central Valley. I started tinting while going to college, pursuing my degree in art. We take a lot of pride in what we do. We love to see the look on our clients face when they see their car for the first time after it's been tinted, it makes my job enjoyable and we're happy to see them smile. We love our job! Took my car in for an install of XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film (PPF) and a complete XPEL…read moreFusion Plus V2 Ceramic Coating, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. Romel, Rob, and their team are true pros and have excellent customer service. The PPF installation is virtually seamless--you can't even tell it's there. Adding the ceramic coat on top has given a glass-like gloss that makes the color pop more than it did the day I bought it. When we brought it in the man was being defensive and saying that we were being difficult and causing him problems. I am not sure where that was coming from with him, we were just dropping off car to get the tint replaced. He was rude and talking disrespectfully to us and we decided to leave because he did not seem to want to "deal" with us and kept saying there could be electrical issues if he re-did the tint. And we just did no feel comfortable that he would not somehow cause electrical issues on our new car, even though we were being cordial. I am absolute shocked on the attitude and customer service we received. Never had such a horrible experience in my life. Find somewhere else to go, this place is the worst.

I waited at your shop for over two hours because I care about my vehicle and am very particular with how it is treated. Because of that, I also took before and after photos of my vehicle. The morning pictures were taken before bringing my vehicle to your shop, and the night pictures were taken afterward. The photos clearly show the condition of the dashboard before arriving and the condition after the work was completed. Pictures do not lie. Instead of acknowledging my concerns professionally, your response shifted toward accusing me of having bad intentions from the beginning. That is unfair, disrespectful, and not how a reputable business should treat its customers. If my goal was to "take advantage" of your company, I would not have documented the condition of my vehicle beforehand. At this point, I am simply presenting the evidence I have and allowing others to make their own judgment based on the photos, timeline, and the responses provided by both yourself and the company. Romel, Rob, and their team are true pros and have excellent customer service. The PPF installation is virtually seamless--you can't even tell it's there. Adding the ceramic coat on top has given a glass-like gloss that makes the color pop more than it did the day I bought it. It's a huge relief knowing my car is now shielded from rock chips and UV damage, all while being incredibly easy to wash due to the hydrophobic properties. I had my windows tinted at this shop, and I must say, it was an absolute disaster. Not only did they leave my tint full of bubbles the first time around, but when I brought it to their attention, they had the audacity to blame me, accusing me of having OCD. After much insistence, they agreed to redo the tinting, but the result was even worse than before. The bubbles were still there, and now there were additional imperfections. It's clear that they either lack the necessary skills or simply don't care about providing quality service. I would strongly advise against anyone considering this shop for tinting services. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere where your money and time will be better spent. Update: I strongly advise against trusting this shop. They attempted to persuade me to retract my review by offering to remove the tint and then refund me, which I declined. Despite giving them a chance to rectify their subpar work, it only worsened. Lee, I regret to say that I can no longer entrust my vehicle to your shop I'd rather not have a refund than risk my car in your shop. I've already provided the receipt via Yelp, so it's perplexing why you requested it again via text. This review is genuine, with no ulterior motives. Your assertion that my dissatisfaction stems from OCD is baseless. My expectations for quality simply exceed yours. The review will stay you sound ridiculous. I recently had my vehicle tinted at Eclipse Window Tinting and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the owner, Lee. When I originally brought my vehicle in, I explained that I needed it completed by a certain time. The job ended up running about 45 minutes late, and it felt rushed. After inspecting the work, I noticed a very noticeable beard hair trapped underneath the front windshield tint directly in the passenger's line of sight. This is a brand new vehicle that had just been professionally detailed the day before, so I know it did not come from inside the vehicle. I called Lee a few days later, and he agreed to redo the windshield tint and scheduled me for Thursday morning. However, when I called today to ask if I could reschedule for Saturday due to a conflict, the conversation immediately became unprofessional. Instead of simply rescheduling, he started making excuses about how difficult my windshield was to tint and explained that during installation there is a short period of time where they "can't control what's in the atmosphere," implying that debris or hair getting trapped under the tint can happen. He also stated that if anything gets stuck behind the tint again, they are not going to continue redoing the windshield and that I would "probably just have to live with it." As a customer who spent around $500, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect quality work and professional customer service. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles those mistakes says everything about their professionalism and pride in their work. This was actually the third vehicle I've brought to Lee over the years, and while he's always had a bit of an attitude, I brushed it off as personality. After this experience, though, I can honestly say I won't be returning. I'll be taking my business elsewhere to have the windshield redone properly by a company that stands behind its work and values customer service. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. Unfortunately yelp requires at least one star, because based on this experience, both the workmanship and customer service fell far below what I expected. read more

I went to Eclipse two weeks ago to protect my car from the heat and add some needed privacy tints. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable over the phone, walking me through my options and offering me a great price. I was luckily able to be seen the same day, and the job was complete after about 4 hours. My car looks like it has a newer character to it now, and my commute feels cooler even on a sunny day. I can already tell my car will feel a lot better to drive during the summer. Since getting my windows tinted, I have been paying attention to other tinted cars on the road, and the difference is notable. Eclipse did a phenomenal job making sure the tint film adhered to the windows without imperfections. They really took the time to do it right the first time and it shows. Messed up my tint. Cash only. Never gave me a receipt. Worst job ever. I just want the good citizen's of Modesto to be safe. This owner threatens and harasses you after they mess up your car. Ask yourself would any reputable business threat, insult and attack customers. They are amateur tinters. They don't even have the machine that auto cuts by your makers car, they do it by hand with a safety razor and the shop is run down. You guys don't have to believe me, but I warned you. Whatever this crazed guys says ignore. He's a dangerous thug! He's calling me a enemy for a poor job he did, hence my one star? I could only assume he's a deranged hoodlum. If you are wanting to deal with a professional, curtious, genuine, timely, efficient, meticulous tinter...Lee at Eclipse Tint is the way to go! This individual tinted my Brand New Honda Accord 2 years ago. MY TINT CAME OUT IMMMACULATE! For me that is HUGE, as I am very meticulous, and have a fine eye for detail- sometimes scrutinized for being that way.I was truly impressed! :) Right before Halloween this year I had to remove my tint, due to a 'Notice of Correction'- anyone in the tinting family knows what this entails. Either way I remembered what Lee had told me 2 years ago at the time of the first tint... I called his office, heard a very friendly and welcoming voice. It was Lee; he had me come right down. I recently moved here to Modesto and was looking for a good tint shop. Jumped online and saw all the great reviews about Eclipse . Let me tell you. It's 5 stars for a reason . When I originally spoke to Lee about tinting and getting an exterior detail in my recently bought used car . (Wanted to make it look new again) I called other shops in the area before calling eclipse . He quoted me a fair price, then dropped it more because I told em I found him on Yelp. Then when I came in, he lowered it even more because he didn't have to spend as much time tinting back window due to rear defrost lines not being as thick as other cars . He could have easily kept the price the way it was and I would have been happy. In conclusion , ended up getting a great price, honest and fair guy, explained everything, excellent customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would! Today I called to get an estimate and I'm guessing the owner Lee answered. He gave me an estimate (way more expensive than what my second choice quoted me) so I said "oh, okay thank you!" and I got no reply just a hang up. He then called me back on a personal number (???) being rude as hell yelling at me telling me I shouldn't be calling around for estimates on window tinting and questioning if I was calling around for the lowest prices because if I was I shouldn't be etc. It was obvious he was mad that I didn't set an appointment and that other reviews about this guy being asshole and totally condescending towards women are true! I then asked what his name was and he told me his name was "Mike" but I'm pretty sure that was a fake name. I can't imagine doing business with this guy and regret even thinking about coming here! I got my windows done here but I would never go back to get any car done here again.. When u call this guy who owns the place is so damn arrogant it's ridiculous.. He's a smart ass and way to confident about his window tinting ability.. I mean seriously it's just window tinting not surgery.. As soon as you call and start talking to the guy he goes on about how he's the best and they are as close to perfect as can be blah blah blah.. If his attitude was more humble and friendly he would probably get alot more business than he gets now.. He doesn't know the meaning of being on time and don't get your windows done to early in the morning cause you gotta call him to confirm your apt.. But really you just need to get him out of bed.. Wanted to give this guy my business, but you wont tell what product you use because your competitors will bash that brand. I've called 10 to 15 places between the bay area and here in the valley. Not one has told me that. You say that you use ONLY the top line of the brand. Sorry, your top line might be of a low end brand. If you ask me that is what you use. The top of the line of a low end brand. There must not be a warranty outside of you. Hope that you don't go out of business or I move away. Classy move by hanging up on me when I said that I wasn't going to use you since I didn't know what I was buying. If you don't believe me, call and ask about the brand. During my first experience with Eclipse I came back a little earlier than he told me to pick up my car, and saw him working on another car. He had started mine but then a customer stopped in and requested warranty work. He very politely approached me and explained he stands by his work 100% and wanted to make sure everyone was happy. My car was still done in the exact time he told me despite squeezing in the warranty fix. Ive now taken 7-8 cars to Eclipse over the years with never any issues or even a single bubble or blemish to speak of. Lee is a straight shooter and does top quality work at low prices. If you want a foot massage while you wait or to know crazy details and information on the film, go pay triple the price down the street. I ALWAYS recommend Eclipse and will continue to do so. read more

I got my windows tinted this past weekend and Lee was very accommodating. I didn't know how long it was going to take so I had both kids with me- a 6 year old and a 1 year old. He was busy working on another car but since my son was asleep he let me pull the truck into the garage to get him out of the sun. While measuring the windows and cutting the tint for the truck he carried on a conversation with my 6 year old daughter and truly made us feel comfortable waiting in his shop. I was getting the windows tinted as a surprise for my husband and Lee gave great recommendations of what would look good and what he thought my husband would like. I've had a few cars tinted in the past from other shops where I live in Arizona and was on vacation with my new Mercedes but had not yet tinted my windows. A family member here in Modesto recommended Lee at Eclipse, so I called and he was able to get me in within a day. He helped me with the shades and he got me the ceramic tint. I even tinted my windshield with the legal film. The job he and his crew did turned out amazing!! So happy with the way it looks and feeLas. and very happy with the shades, my car looks so nice! I've never had such a good job done on any of my other cars. I'm so happy I went to Lee, he really cares and did the job in a timely manner. Got referred here by my dad and was not disappointed. Lee is a man who knows his craft and super informative about different films and applications. His prices are reasonable and quality is shown through his work. He even gave me a free windshield strip (from a misunderstanding on my part about needing an appointment) and was able to still find time and squeeze me in. Now my car looks great, and my baby girl will stay cool in the back seat. You can't go wrong here, amazing work ,transparency, and customer service. Lee has now done 5 cars in my family. He took the time to explain all my options and helped me choose the perfect tint for my needs. Today was my second time coming to Lee and he has done an absolute amazing job on my cars. I get lots of compliments on the tint and he is also very honest. He will flat out tell you if he is able to tint the specific car you have. Unlike others that will do the job and not do it the right way. He tries his best to make time for my car when I call last minute and gets it done in the time frame he gives me. He's very good at communicating with you and the price is on point. There is also a lifetime warranty on the tint as long as you save your receipt. Give Lee a chance you will not regret it. He will transform your vehicle in no time. Did an online quote Thursday after closing hours and Lee got back to me within an hour later. Called him on Friday and had an appointment first thing Saturday morning. I had 4 windows done on my wife's 2020 Land Rover and had my back window redone on our 2018 Challenger. Both came out EXCELLENT and we are both very happy with the outcome. Just one warning and its nothing huge but Lee only takes cash so dont go in thinking you can charge or use your debit.. His prices are reasonable and the quality of work and his professionalism is top notch. These guys do a great job. I took my F250 there full of mud, mud everywhere! Also, I had a ton of water spots on my truck. The truck is only a few years old but was looking 10 with all the water spots and dull paint. They ended up doing a full detail head to toe including the engine compartment. The truck looks great!! They really made it shine, it literally looks like the first day I got it. I also had them tent the windows on my Wife's car, it looks great as well. I will recommend these guys to everyone and I plan on using them for regular washes as well! read more

Saw the great reviews, called and spoke with Lee. He was well priced and scheduled me an appointment at my convenience, showed up, he did the two front windows in my 2010 Silverado. He was courteous, gave me a great deal and fast. Truck was done it 35 min. Professional of this trade, when you do something and make it look easy, your a pro. I would recommend anyone to this shop. I am not sure why there are any negative reviews on this busines...but one should always remember, you cant please all the people all the time. I had a good experience. James read more
