I have done business with Glen in the past and called him recently to ask if I could send him pictures & measurements of my new home in SLC. to see if he could make and send the screens to me. I explained to him there's only a handful of solar screen businesses when I did a Google and Yelp search. I was in disbelief when I called them their prices were astronomical and they only offered 50 shades of black and grey. To me that will not be aestnetically pleasing to my home. We purchased 6 screens from Eclipse several years ago. 2 of the 6 screens went bad and when we contacted the company we were told it was a manufacturing defect and the screens would be replaced free of charge. When it came time to replace them there was a mix up at our guard gate and Glenn was not allowed to enter. When we tried to contact Glenn to apologize and reschedule he would not answer the phone or return text messages. We finally got a hold of him a few days later he was very rude and nasty. He would not reschedule. The screens are not that expensive so we used another company to rescreen the damaged screens. A year and a half ago we got the house we're in and we decided after some research in different companies to use Eclipse Solar Screens to purchase our screens from. I remember the owner came in to give us a quote right away and we decided to get all windows and our back sliding door to get solar screens installed. Glen was always on time and we have had no issues. After having people over and us going in and out from the yard to the house we noticed the sliding screen was a little hard to pull. I contacted Glen yesterday about it and he replied right away and said he'd come take a look. He just left and fixed the issue (nothing major or fault on the screen at all) we must have pulled too hard and it came off the rail. I had an appointment scheduled for today at 3 PM for an estimate. It is now 3:50, and there has been no word from Eclipse Solar Screens. I called them around 3:30 and my call went to voicemail. My text message, confirming our appointment, went unanswered. Apparently Eclipse doesn't need or want my business. It's enough to make me wonder why they booked the estimate in the first place... Edited to add: Emergencies happen. So be it. As the timeline indicates, my review was written when you had not yet contacted me. You simply failed to show up. If you had said before the fact, "Hey, I have an emergency and can't make our upcoming appointment. Can we reschedule?" That would have been acceptable. Instead, you no-call no-showed. Was your emergency more important than my estimate? Absolutely. Was it professional to leave a potential customer hanging, without even informing me that you would not make our agreed appointment? Well don't know about the business because they were going to give me an estimate this morning at 730. We got up at 700 and let out dogs out and sat down in the living room to wait the estimate.
