We got our DropShade installed today and happy to report - all went well! Its a great addition to the back patio of our home that always gets blasted by afternoon sun. Its a good value for the price because the product quality is excellent and the install team is professional. Cody did a great job coming out to our home to go through details and estimate the project. Highly recommend! read more

I'm a little behind on writing this great company a review. From the start Cody was amazing. Going over all the products and recommending the right shades for me. There was a little problem with one shade, but he came up with a solution early on. We use the one shade that was a little shorter for another window and everything worked out perfectly. Cody had came out later to adjust one shade once I pulled a plant out. It has kept the back part of my house so much cooler. That side is the west side that gets the hot sun in the summer. I will definitely recommend them and use them if I ever need them again. read more

Added security and I will now be able to look outside during the summer heat from the inside of the house. Price is right! Quality is superb! We purchased our original patio drop shades four years ago when our house was new. They did such a great job then that we ask them to come back out for another application over a set of French doors that faces do west and is subject to blazing hot sun in the afternoon. Joseph was very professional and explained how the application would work and what the cost was. We felt that it was an investment in order to protect our doors and went forward. The team was on time to do the install, cleaned up perfectly after their job and everything looks and works excellently. I would highly recommend drop shade and feel comfortable with what they suggest. read more

Not true Shawn. You attempted to diagnose a problem without coming out. I agreed to $375 quote and you never responded. You asked me to have the wire repaired and the initial company came back out and repaired per your request. I had an appointment with your team and you decided to get involved with not knowing if I need a motor or not. Your condescending attitude shows you really don't stand behind your product or service. I am so surprised you run this operation as you hung up on me. Speaks volumes of your attitude and lack of professionalism. I did all you asked of me and you still could care less about servicing a unit you and your company profited from. I would disagree with your assessment as you are not sharing what actually happened. I have the text messages and please acknowledge I was not rude and you still hung up on me. read more

After several quotes, we went with Drop Shades. The quality is undeniably the best. We have 4 electric Shades, and they have expanded our entertainment area. The heat from the sun has been reduced dramatically. I like how we can see out, but others cannot see in-brings much privacy. Joseph, our specialist has been phenominal, and is still available if we have questions or advice. Some of our neighbors saw our Shades, and they too have installed Drop Shades. Thanks Drop Shades & Joseph. read more

Relief at last! So happy with the shades we chose. Our patio is now cool enough to sit on during the daytime, and our spa is now protected from the heat of the sun. These shades are a must if you plan on protecting your backyard investments! Furniture will last longer AND our dogs have plenty of shade to hang outside with us now. A win - win for everyone! Cody was great to work with. Very communicative and on the ball. Even though we had to wait a good 8 weeks (which is somewhat understandable when you purchase in the heat of summer!) , the installation only took a few hourse for both patios. Great job guys! The material is SO nice! We chose the platinum color, which I am super happy about because it glistens in the sun. Very pretty! Thinking about shades? Go to Dropshade asap!! read more

They did an amazing job with our blackout shades. We love being able to drop the shade 85-95% closed so it gives us privacy and still let's sun in during the day. When it's shut all the way we can barely tell the difference between night and day! The entire drop shade team was professional and kind. They took their shoes off and laid blankets down during the install to protect our floors and furniture. This company is great! After having a previous company install a shade for us, we were not satisfied with the product or installation. We found Dropshade in hopes to have our current setup replaced. I believe I spoke to Veronica and she was very easy to talk to as well as scheduling a date and time for our estimate. Joesph arrived on time and was very personable and knowledgeable. After deciding on moving forward with the installation, we contacted Joseph to finish the order. The shade was made and scheduled in the estimated timeframe. Veronica's communication during this process was excellent as well. The installers showed up on time and were very nice. After installation we were very happy with the quality of their products! They were even able to replace our screen slider with the same material! We highly recommend this company for any of your shade projects. read more

After buying our new home and waiting to install a few outdoor high ticket items, we decided to get shades for our patio due to the blistering heat and sun. I looked at all of the options available. I decided on a type shade between the columns that would help with winds and rain. I called for quotes. Wow, was I surprise to the average cost. It was not going to be cheap. After getting quotes, I went with an automatic DropShade product because of the warranty. I choose the bronze frame which had to be special ordered. The wait was well worth it. My hubby and I were very pleased with the quality, install, and appearance. Each shade is fully automated to open as much as I want or open/close in unison. The patio is warm but not hot as before and without the direct heat and sun. I love the way they look and provide a nice retreat outdoors. I gave it 4 stars only because the price. read more

How happy are my husband and me with our 2 in 1 Drop shade? We would have rated Sean, Brandon, Mike+Alex with ALL 6's if we could! We live in Glendale Arizona and while I did preliminary research on various Patio Shades, I spoke with Sean and by that weekend Brandon came out to give us Evaluation+Financial Quote. Honest to heavens, We were approved for loan and by that very next week, the guys had installed our Patio Shades. ..We chose the platinum color and could not be happier. It is the perfect, soft grey and compliments our patio furniture colors. It has only been about three weeks since the install and I swear, during Phoenix tempatures hovering between 119°-120°, We really needed shade and a method to block the hot sun. My brain even started to play tricks on me since I swore the new Drop Shade 2 n 1 was actually keeping us cooler! Now, Ì do not if that is fact or what but, I can promise you that you will not be disappointed if you do the same as we did or you just request a home consultation and take more time to decide. Frankly, We are soo thrilled we went with Drop Shade and how efficient+informative each person was at every phase in this project. We wish you the very best+hope you have the fabulous experience we did! It's only been three weeks yet, we can not imagine our back yard and patio without our 2 n 1 Drop Shade! Be aware, stay away from this company!!! First of all, poor communication! I called many times make a appointment for repairing the shades, they don't make it. They seem like they don't need your business!! Second, waiting so long for nothing! Finally Someone text me back, and asking me fill out the repair form, I said sure, but I can't open the document through the text, and he said he can email to me, I gave him my email address, and he is just disappeared, no email, no text reply at all until now!!! Thirdly, repairing procedures is absurd!! They are not even made a appointment yet, but they asked me credit card first!! They don't even check up, they don't even know what the problem is , but they want to charge you first???!!!! At last, the 15years warranty is a piece of lie!!! This house custom rebuilt in 2016, the original owner use this company on the same year, and left this warranty , but no contract for me. This company knew I am not original owner, but he is keep asking the contract , of course I don't have it I told them in first, and I didn't expect this warranty will cover any cost either, just asking if it works?! Obviously, IT DOES NOT WORK! Right now, he replied that he can't find my name on the system, LOL!!!!!!!!' This whole experience is extremely ridiculous!! This customer service is infuriating! Ordered an outdoor drop shade and was told it would take 5-8 weeks. The eighth week I called to find out what was going on. They finally came out to install it but once the shade was up they were out of the electrical part they needed to finish it. I was told it would be another day for them to get the part. Two days later I was told the truck didn't come in. So now it's been a week and they still have not finished installation. Really? You can't get a part from Home Depot or Lowe's? Also note the quality product with exposed wires. So now I'll have to call for the fourth time to find out what is going on. Update - Drop shade did come back out and fixed the shade correctly. We had three large motorized shades installed on our patio. 5 stars are due to the outstanding care and work of Joey Szabo. He is primarily the sales person for Dropshade; however, after a sloppy and sub-standard job of two installation guys, Joey came back and redid the entire installation...flawlessly. His communication is great, his caring is exceptional, and his workmanship is commendable. Dropshade should cherish him forever as he saved this job from a disaster. Thank you for your dedication, Joey! read more

We were looking to get motorized patio shades installed and reached out to Joseph on a neighbor's recommendation. We couldn't have been happier with the experience and the final product. Joseph was extremely friendly, flexible and accommodating, and gave us many great options and pricing for shades. He kept us in the loop the whole time for scheduling, and the team showed up right on time as scheduled. During installation, we had a few concerns about powder coating issues on a couple of rail pieces. Joseph came right over within the hour to inspect and checked all of the progress. He determined a few pieces were defective and returned the next day to replace the pieces himself, making sure everything was perfect! DropShade customer service was so impressive and refreshing, finally having a company that cares and takes the time to make sure everything is done correctly. We will definitely be recommending DropShade to others. Another special thank you directly to Joseph as well for going above and beyond for us, we are grateful and extremely happy! read more

Shawn and his team did a SICK job at my penthouse including a 20' wide shade that was a huge challenge to get into the condo. In total over 200 running feet of 13' tall Mega shades. I can be a little bit fussy.. and they took care of every detail, it's not easy getting these big shades to work flawlessly either. I also put tint film on the glass then changed my mind. Dropshade had to come in uninstall / re install about 1/4 if the job. No complaints nothing just came with a great attitude and got it done. About 3 years ago I used them for my prior condo and they all worked flawlessly and still do, like new to this day. The new ones are voice controlled but that's another story.. Buy with confidence this is the best of the best and the prices are fair for what your get for sure, very custom. Thanks Shawn and Kyle. read more

OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE! Occasionally, you have such a positive experience that you must write a review. Overall, I'm very happy with my roller shades. I enclosed a fairly large patio off my family room. I live on a golf course and the shade is providing excellent additional shade on my covered patio, but also provides golf ball protection as I enjoy my backyard. The color, construction, and material quality exceeded my expectation - and I'm very particular. However, the reason I would recommend ANYONE and EVERYONE to select Drop Shades is because of JOSEPH SZABO, the Field/Sales Technician that helped me through this process. Like many people right now, I'm watching my pennies more closely due to the pandemic. However, I actually needed the shade for protection - about 10 golf balls land in my yard each day. I was very concerned about my mother being hit by a ball while sitting in the backyard. Joseph came out to provide an estimate and he was: - on-time and very professional - genuinely friendly (but not "salesy") - he really listened to the problem I was trying to solve - he didn't pressure me or over-sell, rather he helped me understand what would solve my problem - explained the value of the purchase and helped me realize some added benefits - he expressed real interest in being happy and satisfied with my decision Here's where the WOW moment comes in. I purchased the shade, but wasn't initially happy with the installation. I called Joseph, he made No Excuses and immediately came out to personally see my concerns. The items of concern were somewhat minor, but important to me. Joseph didn't minimize my concerns. He said, "I'll fix this for you right now" "I'll do for you, what I do if this were my own home - I want you to be happy with your purchase." Honestly, one of the items really wasn't in scope for Drop Shades to address. Joseph could have said call your Builder or figure it out - but he took ownership for the situation! The final result is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I've lived in my home for 18 months and I've literally had 30-40 different sales/tech/repair/maintenance professionals here for a variety of reasons. Joseph is hands down the most conscientious and professional. He operates with the level of personal pride and character that is extremely rare! If you need a shade call Drop Shade and ask for Joseph - you won't regret it! read more

We decided to get motorized shades installed near the backyard patio by our pool. One shade is 24 feet long and the other is 8 feet long. We got estimates from 4 of the top shade companies in Vegas and Drop Shades beat them all by a wide margin. The shades look great, they block the sun, provide privacy and go up and down at the press of a button. Call and ask for Joseph at Drop Shades...you won't be disappointed. read more

This review is almost two months after the installation of our drop shades. Joseph Szabo was our sales Rep and foreman for the project. While the price for the shades were pretty steep, they were less than the other two companies we compared. I also feel drop shades had a superior product. Our backyard is west facing and gets destroyed by our desert sun so we needed shades fast. Our major landscape renovation was almost complete and we wanted to thoroughly enjoy our new outdoor space all hours of the day. The install day took several weeks from the original sale, Joseph was very honest about the time frame. Once install started, the installation was very quick and Joseph made sure to address any small details that needed adjustments. We had 4 openings that were covered by motorized shades that were controlled by remote and wifi. The shades are amazing and the ability to control all the shades by remote is so convenient. We use it every day. Also, because of the wifi capability, I am able to program the shades to come down in the afternoon when the sun comes thru the patio cover. And also, automatically go up when the sun is down. Pretty cool! Overall, the customer service was excellent as Joseph was very accessible and answered all my texts and questions in a timely manner. The product is high quality and the pricing, fair. read more

We had our Drop Shades installed in April 2017. Still very happy with our decision. Our journey to home privacy actually started in June 2016 when we bought our lot & decided to build our retirement home. We interviewed quite a few companies regarding curtains, shades, shutters , etc. Our problem children were our large, 20 ft sliders. Many companies told us that they could not make shades in a single piece that big. We were told that the rods would bend from the weight. Therefore, most companies wanted to splice our shades into 3 or 4 pieces. But, we've seen large, single piece shades in hotels & high rises. Who installed those? We were eventually directed to Drop Shades Robert was our salesperson. Our initial meeting was at the Washburn office. There, he went through different options and showed us what Drop Shades could do for us. He gave us a list of places where Drop Shades had recently been installed so that we could see their products IRL. He also looked at our house plans and helped us determine where to install outlets for motorized shades. In total, we met with Robert 3x before deciding to go with Drop Shades. During that time, he never pressured us to go with Drop Shades nor ask for money for the consultations. He also continued to answer numerous questions via phone & text. After vetting all of our options, we decided to go with Drop Shades for 3 motorized shades (for 20' sliders), 2 pull chain shades (for 1 window & 1 door), and privacy screen (for small bathroom windows). Robert came out to remeasure after our house was built and brought fabric samples. We made final selections & Robert put in the order. It took 3 weeks to make our shades and 1 day to install. After installation, we needed an adjustment to one of the shades & to hide one of the wires better. We called Robert & he sent someone out right away. Would definitely use them again. read more

This week, I had new 2n1 DropShades installed on my back patio. This was my first summer living in Las Vegas and my backyard/patio faces west. The intense heat in the afternoon was unbearable. I have a pool, but you couldn't sit on the patio between 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm (July - August). I found DropShades on a local home improvement publication. I called and the owner's son came out for an estimate. The 2n1 shades costs more than standard up/down shades, but the benefits of 2n1 are many, including more living space. I am very happy with these shades. They look great and provide excellent shade coverage for my patio. It's like having a new room added on the back of my house. Material blocks 95% and also provides some privacy. Homes in Las Vegas (Henderson) are often very close to each other. Communication was excellent. The installers were professional, efficient and timely. They really took care to install the shades properly and cleaned up after completing the job. I love these shades, and already, the back of my house interior is cooler, and I have noticed the AC running less. Thank you DropShades! Also, these shades are powered with a remote control.
