My overall experience with Brian the owner and this company has been great. Since I can't give 4.5 stars I'm giving this review 5. I always wait awhile after doing business with a company before writing a post to give the most objective and complete feedback so the excitement or disappointment in a new purchase has time to wear off and the quality of a product or experience can be better judged. I purchased Exus Premium Faux Wood shutters for my first floor in August and they were installed in October. It was a long wait and there were some issues with the way in which the order was placed with the manufacturer which Brian apologized for and ended up giving me an additional discount on the shutters to show his desire to make things right. This says a lot about a company. Brian arrived on time to my consultation for an estimate, he provided good education about the shutter industry, the different shutter options and manufacturers he can use, and some pros and cons about going with one brand over another. There may be some bias in what he recommends based on his experience and costs though. Brian was very meticulous when he installed the shutters and he pays attention to details. I wasn't home when he installed the shutters but my wife was and Brian gave her some feedback on some small cosmetic items he wanted me to see in case I wanted to have them addressed. That was appreciated. A few days after the shutters were installed I noticed a slightly dark spot on the underside of one of the louvers that was annoying so I called Brian to come take a look. He came out a few days later and we agreed this was worth having the louver replaced under warranty. He said it would be no problem and ordered the replacement. I trust that if I have any additional warranty concerns they will get addressed. My only constructive criticism is that during the time between order and installation, I felt I was the one having to call and text to get updates on the status of the order. I would recommend Brian figure out a way to be proactive about this instead of reactive, possibly even automating this in some way. It would go a long way on the customer experience side. So far I'm very happy with the shutters and I ordered more for upstairs if that says anything. read more

Amazing Prices & Amazing Company Before moving into our newly constructed home we knew that we wanted to invest in modern and stylish window coverings. Having never outfitted a whole house before, we did not really know what our options were. We found Brian right as he was starting his own company. At first, we were nervous considering there was not a long history of completed jobs for Shutter Brothers, but we had Brian come out and give us a quote. He was very patient and was great at recommending different options. We never felt there was a high-pressure sales situation or anything of the sort. Just to compare, we then got a few more quotes and Brian's were by far the best. We ended up getting Hunter Douglas banded shades throughout most of the house, a Luminette (with power) for our extra-large sliding glass door, and faux wood blinds in three guest rooms and the laundry room. The service from that point on was even more exceptional. Since we ordered in the middle of the pandemic, our order came in staggered, and we had just moved in so Brian came back multiple times to install whatever he had received to ensure we weren't living in a fishbowl. The biggest delay was on the faux wood blinds (purely pandemic related) and another example of Brian going above and beyond is he came and installed a temporary blind in one of the guest rooms because we had family in town and the faux woods were still not delivered. We even had an issue where the cut on the banded shade on one of the master bedroom windows (the biggest window in the house besides the sliding glass door) was clearly off. So, he partnered with Hunter Douglas and they sent a replacement which Brian came out again to switch out. Additionally, we had the Luminette and master bedroom installed with power and Brian made sure everything was connected properly to our internet and the apps on our phone were working, etc. We could go on and on, but long story short, if you want the most competitive prices, best service, in addition to being supportive of small local companies, then contact Brian at Shutter Brothers. read more
