EQUALLY IMPORTANT is this; I hired them without getting a bid due to the emergency but was treated very fairly on the price. Even though I was vulnerable they didn't over price. Before receiving their bill I "guesstimated" their labor cost, driving time, cost of materials, knowledge and what I believed to be a fair profit. Their bill was within $40 of my expected price. When they came for the estimate Luis, the owner, agreed to everything we discussed. When accepting the bid I even confirmed our discussion in writing. When he showed up on day one to start the work he already walked in with a bad attitude. He started questioning all our agreements right away and after 10 (!) minutes walked out and left with his guys claiming "he couldn't do this" without any more specifics. Outside I heard him telling his guys to meet them at another customers job site much closer to where his business is located. It became clear that he dropped my project for another more lucrative one. This left me in bad situation to find another painter immediately. Fortunately I did and he was 60% of the price that Luis had quoted me. Upon further research I found out that he only has been in business 3 years and already had a delinquency filing from the State of Colorado which did not surprise me.

This project was long and stressful. We signed the contract in March 2025. We had a discussion…read moreabout the expectations about our back yard porch which introduced a change. Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company.
