My favorite study spot in Anderson. The white elephant and dirty hippie are my go to drinks. Their drip coffee is also good. And you can buy their beans in bulk which is super shwae! Their mugs are so fun too. It's usually quiet and there is comfy seating. And to top it off, the music they play is always a vibe.

Dirty Hippie - THE best chai espresso I've ever had.

The barista will customize your order and make suggestions. Moody vibe inside with some cozy seating. Work there. Hang out there. Whatever you want but go here.

This place has a very chill, relaxing environment. You can come here to meet up with a small group of friends or a quiet place to study. The barista was very sweet and helpful, even remade my drink when I made a mistake. The chocoberry deluxe is a raspberry chocolate drink that kinda reminds me of a tootsie pop. And my husband loved the white elephant.

Great place to get a unique coffee drink. I love that they list how many espresso shots are in their drinks. I've been about 4 or 5 times and I've learned to ask to tone down the amount of syrup because their coffees can be really sweet. If you're looking for a place to sit and loudly talk, I don't think this is the place--every time I've sat in, it's been more of a quiet work environment which I actually really appreciate. & some nice people work here!

Fall specials & bagels at counter

Funky little coffee shop in downtown Anderson! The cafe has a storefront on the street, but the door is actually mainly for a restaurant located down the hall, so it's an interesting set up. There's a loft above the counter where they refill coffee beans for counter access, and then the main seating area has tall ceilings and some good seating with tables. There aren't a ton of outlets, but there are a good number. The girl at the counter was super nice, and after a requested reboot the internet worked great. I had a regular coffee that was very good-they give you a cup and you serve yourself the type you want (specialty flavor is on rotation). They have a great selection of teas and I enjoyed my herbal vanilla almond tea. And for food, they have a rotating selection of bagels, so I tried the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It wants good, but I had to go light on the cream cheese it was so sweet. Would definitely come back! I was happy that I was able to find parking right out front that wasn't restricted to a 2-hour limit.

Love this place!! As a local college student, I come here quite often. They even have punch cards to earn a free coffee if you are a local ;) my favorite drink is the cherry bomb but the dirty hippie is also a classic. I've never gotten a drink here that I haven't like! Not too pricey either. The only down side is the speaker is not clear so even though they are playing bops, the quality of the sound is not the best. The vibes are indubitably cozy :)

The White Elephant and a St. Patricks Day cupcake! Yum!

I just moved to the area and wanted to find a small shop like this! It's perfect! I got the White Elephant- with vanilla chai, blended. I highly suggest it! It had just the right amount if chai and didn't have a poor aftertaste like some chai drinks cause. My brother got the Heath Frap - and he enjoyed that as well. It had the perfect amount of coffee taste to it. The staff was welcoming and the sitting area was comfortable and cozy. I can't wait to come back! PS. The St. Patricks Day cupcakes were delicious! :-)

Good, but a little confused on personality. Seating just feels like a bunch of yard sales were blended together.

Great local place. They roast their own beans. Nothing special about the food though. Rooms kinda dark, no outside windows.

If you want fresh coffee go elsewhere unless you like your shots of espresso aged for 2 hours at a time.

The Village Bakery & Cafe - Cookie platter

The Village Bakery & Cafe

This is a sweet little bakery and cafe on the square of the historic town of Pendleton. I have been…read morehere several times and have enjoyed myself each time. One side has a bakery where you can watch the delicious goodies being made. The other side is a small cafe. Although there is limited seating I have never had to wait for a table. I haven't gone on the weekend (pretty sure the Sunday morning brunch would be a different story). A friend and I met for lunch at 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. My friend had the Café Club with the pasta salad and a sweet tea. I had the Quiche of the Day, the pasta salad and a hot cup of Clemson Sunrise (Vanilla, Caramel & White Mocha). The pasta salad wasn't my favorite-next time I'll give the potato salad a try. The service and food were very good. The café closed at 2:00 pm. Since we were still visiting, my friend and I grabbed our drinks and walked a few steps to the center of the lovely town square and found a swing to continue our conversation...but that's for another review. The Village Bakery & Café is worth a visit whether it's to grab something from the bakery and enjoy a cup of coffee or to meet a friend for breakfast or lunch. Lovely outing.

We went for a private party in the back room with the Sunday brunch buffet. There were lots of food…read moreoptions. Mediterranean food, breakfast items, pastries and desserts. The food was good. The danish and pancakes were the best. There coffees were huge and had a large variety of flavors. The waitress was very attentive.
