I had a good experience. The young lady was pleasant, smiling and helpful. The coffee was great. I chose to eat in so I was served in a glass mug which was a nice surprise. The chocolate croissant was warm and delicious. The restaurant was clean and updated. The other baristas seemed preoccupied. I had reservations about Starbucks because of the disrespect for first responders years ago, but this Starbucks was very respectful. I went with a Xmas gift card that I received and I will go back. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Searched the Web to see if a purchase is required for a pup cup (nope, they're "free"). After vet, drove through Clemson Blvd. Starbucks, ordered a pup cup only to be told I cannot receive one unless I purchase a beverage. "Not what the Internet says." "Oh well, that's our policy." Service is pretty standard but the drive thru lane is slow at noon time. The parking lot is not their fault but it is very small and is shared with a chipotle. The drive thru always has a horrible smell from the trash cans being so close or something that I can't figure out. Slow and they got my order wrong. I guess don't bother unless you order online? The wait is extreme.

Even after parking and going inside to place my order, they couldn't get it right. Rude! A sip of the Tall Hazelnut Latte' only two pumps of hazelnut, extra hot while standing at the counter and it was not the way I ordered it. I watched her put three pumps of syrup in a cup but didn't say anything because I didn't know it was mine. I order two pumps because I don't like it too sweet. When I told her it wasn't the way I ordered it, she said "I'll make it over". OK and then I mentioned that it wasn't extra hot either and her reply was "It's on hot" and rolled her eyes. Really? So I asked if she could make it hotter and she never answered me. She handed me the second drink and didn't say a word. She wouldn't make eye contact with me. I don't recall her name but it was a young black girl. Why is she given the opportunity to work for a prestigious company if she's going to treat customers poorly after paying $6 plus for a single drink? I could have gone in QuikTrip and made my own coffee for less money and minus her little attitude toward me. But I went to Starbucks to treat myself to what I love. She ruined my customer experience and I'll know to avoid this location next time. read more

Just a review of the Drive Thru. Left Marietta early AM on the Sunday after Thanksgiving heading back to Cornelius NC. Not much open when we left and about two hours up the road, time to refill on Coffee. This Starbucks is just off Exit 20 on I-85 after you cross over into South Carolina at the first Anderson/Clemson exit. In and out quickly and the coffee is hot and fresh and the staff is very friendly. This was my first time at this store but will not be the last and strongly recommend to anyone passing through. read more

Always been a great experience with the baristas who work here. They are always very kind and friendly and my drinks are always good. The only noticeable thing is it does get busy and sometimes they are out of stock, BUT this location is on a very busy road with shops and such so of course it's going to get traffic. However this isn't something to take out with the baristas who are simply doing their job! if something is sold out, they've often been helpful and offered something similar. Also if the drive through is busy just go inside... Overall great location and anything that's lacking simply seems to be up to some of the higher ups. read more

Went to Starbucks today - horrible service and 30 minute wait time. We placed our order for 2 Frappuccino's, an egg soufflé and a red velvet cake. They added on to the order and charged us for a coffee cake. We gout our food within 5-10 minutes but it took just over 30 minutes for us to get our drinks. 4 employees and a. 30 minute wait. We finally said something when 3 people who came in after us were served their drinks. Their response, she's working on it. Not an I'm sorry you have waited so long. My morning coffee was totally wrong ordered with cream and when I got to work discovered that I had a black coffee. I called them back to see if they would rectify it or something. I was told there was nothing they could do over the phone and there was really nothing I could do either, because I had gotten to work. I've gone to this Starbucks for years to meet with people personally and professionally. Loyal customer for about 4 years. The other week I went in with a friend and was greeted by a cashier/barista named Scott. After stepping up to order and then realizing the menu changed I became a little flustered and didn't know what to order. After a few seconds of searching to find my old 'usual' order, he proceeded to contort his face in a sarcastic manner and say, "Uhhh, are you okay?" Now, I know, there's nothing wrong with asking such a question, but as a hospital and healthcare employee I know the difference in sarcasm and genuine concern. After becoming uncomfortable with the situation I let my friend go in front of me. He then asked her, "Uhhhh, is she okay?". As she ordered, he continued to stare at me as if I had 5 eyes, not even paying attention to her order and actually getting her name wrong. I finally read the menu and decided on my order, stepped up, and for the 3rd time he asked sarcastically, "Uhhhh, are you okay?" Again, as a healthcare employee who deals with the public on a very regular basis, I understand the effort it takes to make someone feel comfortable and show genuine concern when you say, "Are you okay?", but Scott was very rude to have asked my friend about me, and to have been so distracted that he got her name wrong on her order. Very uncomfortable situation, didn't know why it was happening and why Starbucks would hire somebody this rude. read more

I know this is kind of short but they REALLY need to work on name spelling or even ask how to spell their name.

This is a relatively busy Starbucks with a drive-through. The parking lot is shared with a few other businesses so parking is tight. The interior could use some cleaning. Trash all over. Bathroom dirty. I was in line behind a few people but clearly the two girls in front of me were employees who were off today. They carried on an extra long conversation with the employee at the register. I was in a hurry and am already spending more time in here than I wanted. I could have done the drive through but I wanted to do a review from inside the store. As i stand here typing the girls are still conversing with the working employees who are not concentrating on making coffee !! I also tried to order a croissant but they were out. They told me the only ones they have are frozen. 7 minutes later I get my coffee. It was not delivered at ordered. I had then fix it and now I'm getting back on the road to Charlotte NC. I'll avoid this store on the way back even though the coffee actually was good once it was made correctly. read more

Good coffee and comfy chairs, but was it COLD! It was 54 outside, but the air was still on! In this location, the baristas seemed a bit complacent, as well. In the 25 minutes my husband was in line, he noticed a fly in the pastry cabinet landing on the danish. This location has become very disappointing. A few years ago the service was great, drinks were perfect, and staff was courteous and professional. The last few visits, the staff have been short and not as friendly, always acting in a rush, and drinks have been messy and sub-par. I'm very thankful the location on HWY 81 opened, so we have another option for Starbucks in Anderson. I've placed relatively "normal" orders and been met with confusion and slight judgment by the barista, as if my order is weird or foreign to them. I highly doubt my mocha with a flavored syrup is the weirdest thing you've had to make. I also find that I'll order one thing (ex: nonfat mocha) and somehow that will be turned into a latte. Very poor representation of a starbucks! The baristas were very unprofessional, wrinkled white shirt, no aprons and no name tags! When I asked where their nametags were I was laughed off and told that she lost it somewhere along the way?????? The facilities were clean and organized. Not so of the attitudes or work ethic, it took around 12?mins to make my drink, 3V8 pump TNL w/whip! There was a lot of conversing, and complaining amongst the staff, and when I stood up at the counter, someone was able to get my drink finished! Shitty! They are supposed to make your drink special and they flat out refused. I asked for a twix frapp and they wouldn't make it! Incredibly slow service as well, almost as bad as the one in Clemson, but not quite. Staff is snippy and occasionally rude.
