I was at Seafood City Supermarket in Rancho Cucamonga to buy some Asian fruit and jelly cans for my che thai dessert. I noticed it has a new neighbor next door... Ebisu Life Store. If I recall, this location used to be Party City. Upon entry at first sight, my first thought was... is this place another Daiso or Miniso, but just larger in size? Well, it was confirmed with the staff that it is somewhere in between a Daiso and Miniso. Funny, there is a Daiso right next door to Ebisu. Battle of the knick knacks! Nevertheless, Ebisu is unique in its own way. This store is huge with lots of bright lights. Aisles and shelves were clean and beautifully organized. I was here just 15 minutes before closing time at 8:00 PM, hence, I didn't get a chance to stroll through the entire store space. From what I can tell, tons of Japanese snacks, candy, ramen, interesting ice cream flavors, canned drinks, soft plushies, animated characters, and so much more are here to entice and intrigue you. It holds truck loads of tasty snacks, cool drinks, and neat stuff! I wanted to support them so I bought a couple cans of Ocean Bomb drinks. I also got a cute complimentary reusable bag to hold my drinks. Staff was friendly and nice. Definitely will come back to explore more of Ebisu! If you haven't checked them out, go now to get immersed in a swimming pool of snacks, drinks, and more! Have fun!! Btw, I was curious what "Ebisu" means. Per Google, "Ebisu is a prominent Japanese Shinto god of fortune, fishermen, and commerce. As one of the Seven Gods of Luck (Shichifukujin), he is the patron of honest labor, abundant harvests, and prosperity." Now I know and so do you.

So excited that Ebisu Life Store just opened in Rancho Cucamonga! It's in the old Party City location, right between Seafood City and Daiso. The store is bright, clean, and nicely organized. They packed so much in there - tons of Japanese snacks, potato chips, candies, chocolates, ramen, those viral fruit ice creams, canned boba, coffee, sodas, drinks, and a bunch more. Snack heaven! The employees were really helpful too. I still feel like I only saw a fraction of what they have... definitely going back to explore more. If you're into Japanese snacks and drinks, you need to check this place out.

Wow this place has alot of products imported from Japan. They have a lot of different products from snacks to house hold products as well as amine items and more. You need to visit this place of your into Asian products. The prices are reasonable.

We parked towards the side of Daiso on opening Day to experience the giveaways and the sight of what the old Party City had turned into. The line was out towards the parking lot in the morning for Grand Opening Day of Ebisu, but when we came around 2 pm, it was only lined around Daiso. We were in line for about 15 minutes until we reached the inside. As part of their giveaway, they said if we followed them on social media, we'd get a free tote bag. There weren't any tote bags left. Instead, at the front, the guy gave us two tokens. He didn't specify what the tokens were for... our silly selves tried to use them for the gachapon machines inside. We were absolutely wrong. We had to ask a random working stocking items what they were for, and only then, did we realize it was for the claw machines. When we were inside, we noticed they had good control of the foot traffic, so the aisles were easy to walk through. They had lots of Japanese imported goods: beverages, snacks, accessories, cosmetics, toys, etc. The prices ranged from cheap to outrageous. Unless you're a big fan of certain characters, I couldn't justify some of the prices. We ended up buying cheap snacks and smilies in order to meet the gift quantity of $50. To our disappointment, the "prize" was a bag of deformed snacks (chips, a drink, and noodles). My review stems from the items inside for sale, how the grand opening was handled, and the workers. I think for a first day, they had a lot of guests, and they weren't prepared. There weren't enough gifts, their workers weren't ready for the day, and the items for sale were mediocre. I'm an avid anime fan and a fan of Japanese imports, but this wasn't it. I've been to better Ebisu stores. Needless to say, we probably won't be stopping by often unless we need to buy a gift.

Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday April 11, 2026 at 10am. They are in between Seafood City and Daiso and replaced the spot that was previously Party City. I was invited to come in prior to their grand opening and had the opportunity to look around and shop while they were setting up. They carry mostly Japanese made goods but also have products from Korea, Taiwan, China, etc. They have things from snacks, beauty products, home goods, toys, collectibles, plushies, stickers, and more. People were asking me about prices and to give you examples KitKats were $5.99-$6.99, plush doll pendants were $17.99-$33.49, hair dye $14.99, hand lotion $6.99-$11.99, hair turbans $12.99-$17.99, Sanrio character wobble doll machine series $15.99. I was expecting things to cost a little more because they're imported. I could have spent half a day just looking at everything but everyone keeps telling me to get the Japanese sunscreen lol so I'll be back for that. I'm sure they will be super packed once they open since a lot of people have to go to Alhambra but now we have one closer to us.

I definitely enjoyed coming here. It's new and clean with so many things to look at. I only bought a few items but I'll be back for more. They have a lot of deals right now as they just opened. They are card only, no cash. I took mostly video because there's so much to look at.

This place is SO FUN!! They've got all the fun Japanese nick naks!! Feels like DonQui!! The fruit shaped ice creams were yummy, lots of Ramune flavors and Kit Kats galore. In addition the line moved fast and the staff/cashiers were really friendly. We told them we had just been to Japan for two weeks and felt like we were transported back!! How fun to have this place close to home!!

Pretty cool Japanese store. Kinda like a Daiso but not really. They have legit brands and a wide variety of Japanese collectibles and figurines. It makes up half of the store . From DragonBall Z to Sanrio products, they have a wide variety of things from stationary to clothing accessories and Toys. Staff here are nice and willing to help if you ask. Plenty of different snacks and candy and they do have vending machines which require tokens that you buy from the exchange machine . A darn cool store to get lost in if you are into Japanese products . Prices are moderate but I doubt you can find another store like this one with a selection and inventory. Great addition to this plaza , so go check it out !!

First time coming here. The store is clean and bright. The prices are a lot better than the other stores like this. This store is like a bigger version of Diaso. Plenty of different snacks, makeup, skin care products, blind bags, and toys. It appears to be card only, no cash. There's about 100 vending machines. There $3 a piece. I love seeing the diversity and the community in here shopping on a Sunday afternoon.

I visited Ebisu on their grand opening day and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. There was a long line to get in, which is totally understandable for a new store. What didn't make sense, though, was how they handled the free gift bags. The bags were given out when people exited the store--not when they entered. So people who rushed in and out (or didn't really shop) were able to grab them, while those of us who spent time browsing and actually making purchases missed out because the bags were already gone by the time we left. It felt backwards and honestly unfair. They also had tiered promotions--spend $50, $70, or $100 to receive different gifts. However, just a couple hours after opening, the $100 gift was already gone. We spent around $150-$160, and instead of offering any reasonable accommodation, they told us we could only choose one of the lower-tier gifts. That didn't make much sense. If the $100 gift is no longer available, a more reasonable approach would be to offer both the $50 and $70 gifts--especially since that combined value is still below what we spent. It would have at least acknowledged both the situation and the fact that we were spending well above the threshold. What made it more frustrating is that we could have easily split our purchase into multiple transactions and still qualified for multiple gifts--but we didn't do that because we assumed there would be some level of fairness or flexibility. Instead, there was none. Overall, it felt like serious customers who actually spent time and money were at a disadvantage, while people just going in and out benefited more from the promotions. The store itself is cute and has nice items, but the management and execution of the event really took away from the experience. Not sure I'd go back after this.
