I came for a state inspection for my car i scheduled online. After being informed by a hand written letter on their front door their state inspector was on vacation through Monday, I went inside to ask when I could schedule an appointment. I was informed they don't schedule those appointments, it's first come first served. I told them I scheduled an appointment specifically for a state inspection online, and I can only assume the person at the front desk thought I was on the wrong side of slow in the head, as he repeated himself, a lot slower this time. I asked when the inspector would be back, and he said Monday, which didn't match the handwritten sign posted on the door. I asked what time Monday they started inspections, and he informed me at 8am, told me there were 20 people already showing up, told me good luck, and smiled as though he scratched and sniffed himself and he really liked his aroma today. I am happy I was not able to get my vehicle inspected. The website was misleading at best (maybe I missed small, corporate sized printing somewhere), the person at the front desk is as welcoming as a colonoscopy without anesthetics, given randomly while stuck in rush hour traffic in Atlanta after eating Chipotle, and I suspect even if the mechanics were solid folks, the animated merkin posing as a human would find something billable to fix before my vehicle passed inspection. Highly recommend a visit, simply for an opportunity to get a solid look at what the absolute lowest end of customer service looks like, and finding joy in imagining someone getting kissed with a brick :) You could not decrease the value of the visit if a homeless person used the parking lot as a port-o-let, and asked me for a dollar, all while maintaining eye contact. read more

recently made a 1* review and a complaint about service. don't know how to change that review but I felt it's important to update that the Regional, Caleb, was very persistent in contacting me and gave the issue the appropriate attention: I am satisfied that he is sincere in coaching and fixing the issue without termination of any employees and gave me the confidence that if I try the spot again I won't have the same issue. while employees are a direct reflection of the business they don't always directly reflect the culture of the business every time or every interaction. I believe that overall the company does care about their clients and their business even if they miss the bullseye occasionally. read more

Tire Discounters....DBA "Eavers Tire" in Stuarts Draft is preying on older people, and customers that dont know any better. My 83 year old mother went there today for a State Inspection. After having an appointment at 1PM, was told hours later that "everything looked great" but in order to pass inspection her power steering fluid failed the "strip test" and would not pass. She was told if she didnt get it done today they would have to start all over with the inspection when she returned and it would take just as long. *For starters....There is NO "strip test" for power steering fluid, or ANY other fluid for that matter to pass State Inspection. If fluids need changed, thats another matter. Not an inspection matter. To make matters worse, when I checked all her fluids myself that afternoon, the power steering fluid was grossly overfilled, and the engine oil did not even read on the dipstick. It was 3 quarts low!!!!!! So $162 later she was alowed to leave. I confronted the store about their lies and they lied right to my face. I know better, they know better. I dont want a "We apologize for not meeting your expectations" lame reply.....Keep it. I'm posting this as many places as possible, contacting the BBB in reguards to their financial elder abuse, blatant lies and poor work on what they claim they did. I am also contacting the Virginia State police and reporting what they are attempting to do to customers durring VA State inspections. On a Saturday it's hard to find shops that are open when you get in a pinch, but today Aaron (I'm hoping I spelt the name correctly!) came out and personally helped my mom and I when we got a flat tire today. I called Eavers in Stuart's Draft and it was less than 30 minutes until they closed for the day and they were already short staffed, but Aaron understood that we were in a bit of a dilemma and personally came to help us! Ordered rims through Eavers and had them installed by them as well. The entire process only took 3 days, from order to install. I dealt with BJ the entire time. Let me say, flawless from beginning to end. My rims look great, and everyone at Eavers could not have been nicer. This business is no longer locally owned. Was waiting when they opened the door at 7am. Needed oil change tire rotation and state inspection. 4 hours later and I'm still waiting. At 2 and half hours was told they were finishing up oil change. At 3 hours I was told I was next for inspection. At 4 hours car is sitting on lot still not inspected. When asked if this was going to be the norm from now on the service guy said yep with the new owners it would be. It's a shame I have been coming here for 15 years but will not be back. read more

I went and got a new set of tires for my Honda Accord . 553 $ was a good experience then the next day one of them popped , could have ran over something or idk just happened and it is what it is . I called and told them what happened and they charged me another 130 dollars for a new tire. Would not recommend to anyone. Took car for oil change picked up and crack in radiator. Was fine when took in. When they put oil in the leaned on radiator and put a crack in it. Mechanics 101 use a funnel to put oil in don't lean! They now say will not fix!!! Really??? This is good business practice?? Right thing to do would be to fix or pay my bill for fixing! I've been going here for 15+ years and can say they will not get anymore of my business on any of my vehicles. Went back to have the tires put on front, but after waiting 2 hours was told all bays were filled...after being to told to come on down! 3rd strike, Called to order two more tires and make appointment. showed up and was told tires had never been ordered! Eavers might have the slowest customer service I've ever experienced. I've been here three times and each time, each service has taken three times as long to do as my last mechanic's shop. There is a disconnect between the sales people that "handle you" and the mechanics that actually work on the vehicles. This next part is the worst though: Eavers wanted $189 for an oxygen fuel sensor, so I checked Federated, the same part was $155. Then I found the EXACT SAME part for $80 on Amazon. Do your homework, save money, ...maybe even skip these folks altogether? read more
