4.5. This review is well overdue since it's been several years since I came here on a girls trip, though overall the experience was positive. We arrived on a Friday afternoon in June around 1:30pm, with appointments for 6 booked in advance with the spa about 1 month prior. The actual treatments started between 2:30-3pm, though we arrived earlier in advance based on the spa's directions and also bc we wanted to have time to spend in the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room prior to our treatments. The staff was very friendly and helpful at reception and after checking us in, started the afternoon with a candle-lighting ceremony to release our stresses and prepare for a restorative environment, followed by a tour of the facilities. We then got changed in the locker area and headed inside. They provided a glass of champagne at the time, and lounge areas to sit and relax while not in the jacuzzi area. Unfortunately it was raining outside when we went so we couldn't enjoy the garden area (I really wanted to try the swings, they looked fun lol), but our entire party agreed the service and experience was fabulous. They allowed us to individually pay for each service although we had made the total booking together. When we went maybe bc it was a weekday it wasn't too crowded, there were a couple parties that arrived after us. It didn't feel like we had to wait around for space to open up. I didn't order food here so can't comment on that. Sounds like they've enacted a no photography policy inside the spa since I visited, which makes sense given the sensitive nature of changing areas, and I've been to other spas since then where this is the case. I can see why it could be a privacy concern, and not everyone has the same level of discretion in what's posted online. read more

Really disappointing experience, especially for what was supposed to be a special anniversary celebration. We paid $650 for a 60-minute couples massage scheduled for 2:00 PM. We weren't taken back until around 2:05, then spent about 10 minutes being talked through different add-ons, followed by time to get changed and settled. Our actual massages didn't really start until around 2:25 and ended before 3:00. We essentially lost a significant portion of the 60 minutes we paid for, which is especially frustrating at $650. We also hired a babysitter specifically so we could have this time together for our anniversary, so we were really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, we left feeling very disappointed and that the experience did not come close to matching what we paid for. read more

I had heard really great things about this spa, so decided to give it a shot with my gf came in from out of town. We booked massages, they are a bit pricey, but I assumed as much. Also, they allow you to use all of the facilities the entire day, so keep that in mind. The massage was $240 plus tip and tax (FYI). They suggest you arrive 30-45 min early. This is because they want to give you a tour of the facilities and a glass of bubbles before your massage. We came to the resort early, but went to Pulpo for lunch. Anyway, they gave us candles to put in their little well to make a wish and showed us to the locker rooms. They have a their own restaurant, so you can order lunch in your robes if you like! The massage itself was okay. It seemed short, but the masseuse was extremely professional and very hospitable. However, the facilities are awesome. We enjoyed lounging outside on the swings and couches, the whirlpools and saunas and the comfortable relaxing massing chairs inside. The staff was also very friendly and kind! read more

Nice spa to spend with friends or by yourself. We went on a Saturday and it was definitely busy for sure. It's nice that they have a hang out section outdoors with cute hanging chairs on water which are fun and also indoor a pool with rain shower and sauna. Also they have a waiting room filled with cupcakes which is great lol. Complementary champagne is offered as well. I got a pedicure and a hair wash/blow dry and my friends got a massage and a facial. All our services were nice, I definitely feel like they took time doing my pedicure and hair blowout. The appointments however never started on time for me but that is probably because they are making the effort with each guest they are with. Overall a nice spa experience to have and I'm personally not into spas. I believe this spa is listed on Forbes travel guide five star spas. read more

This was my first time at a "spa day" and it was very nice. When you check in someone will show you around, give you a robe, and some sandals. From there you are free to roam around the spa. On the women's side they have a cute area that has a hot tub with a waterfall shower (from the ceiling) and it's very nice. I spent a lot of time in there and relaxing on the stone beds they have surrounding the hot tub. These are also heated and just are so relaxing. They also have saunas, a vanity, showers, and a room to just be quiet and relax with snacks, & they also have complimentary champagne. They also have a mini bar and restaurant in spa area and an area where you can diy your own body scrub. Then I'm the middle area you can join your partner if they are opposite sex. There in the middle they have loungers in the shade, a fountain, and a hanging chair area where you can dip your toes in shallow water. I did receive a 90 min couple massage and it was very nice, super professional, and accommodating. My therapist keeps checking in to make sure I was comfortable and it was great. I'm not sure how this spa is still in business, or where they get off charging this much money for it. I would give it a zero if I could l. they say a picture is worth a thousand words, well you tell me if this is the quality you expect at a spa that you and your partner spent $1,000 to be at? Rust & Mold?? Are you kidding me? Jiggly door handles? Broken/Missing tiles? For this price, this is unacceptable. I've been to places that aren't nearly as expensive and the surroundings were beautiful and taken care of. Then the massage, was horrendous. they spend more time on picking your scents and audio then they do finding out what areas you want treated. and when I specifically asked for my right leg which was actually needing a massage, the masseuse did nothing different on that leg, or spent any additional time. it was the same BS massage they give to everyone. Which in itself is a pathetic excuse for a massage. I have someone that comes to my house for a 1/3rd of the price and does a 10x better job. In addition, the sauna isn't even hot. I don't even think you can break a sweat in there. This place should be ashamed of itself. Save your money and go to dozens of other spas that offer you a far better experience. read more

This is my second time coming to this spa j& it's always such a relaxing time. My husband bought me a 90min massage for Mother's Day! The facility is ALWAYS super clean & sanitized. The packages are pretty pricy $$$, but definitely worth it When you enter the spa area, they show you around and provide you with a locker that has a robe & slides available. You then go sit in the waiting area for your masseuse to come and get you. While waiting there are snacks & and drinks there for you to enjoy. My masseuses came and got me. She upgraded my room, but then I noticed the name on the info sheet was wrong. She was very apologetic and still accommodated me in the upgraded room and also gave me a bath ritual package for free which was really nice! My massage overall was impeccable I slept so good & left feeling rejuvenated, ready to concur the world. They also prove you a complimentary glass of champagne which i could have this time due to breastfeeding I'll definitely be back!! read more

New Ownership has killed this once warm, inviting & luxurious Spa. The prices were high before, but at least the experience was heads above the rest (at least for the 15 years I'd been going). Now, the staff is pretentious, rude, unhelpful & this is the weirdest part (vindictive- super odd). They've raised the prices and lowered the quality. Now, it is overpriced for mediocre service-- that's being generous. The Spa itself is having an identity crisis. The new owners have updated the hotel decor. Went from classy & luxe to sterile and bare. They have tried to "modernize" the aesthetic, but the Spa lacks warmth, character, class- AND THEY'VE PUT CRICUT APPLIQUÉS ON WALLS!! Omg, it's so bad. I spent $1000 in early June for 2 massages. My treat, was my friend's first time (I'd been raving about my "spot" @ the Eau spa). I was able to pick the scents, lighting, and music I wanted for my massage. The masseuse I got was so sweet and respectful. The spa itself is set up well. The pleasant surprise is that the stone chairs in the jacuzzi rooms are heated. Outdoors is cute with the swinging chairs although there is bird crap on the loungers. Unfortunately they miss the mark on nearly everything else. Some of the locks in the changing room weren't working. There were stains on my robe. The gentleman providing my service (royal recovery) also took quite some time asking my preferences that should have been asked on the lengthy intake form. That's how I've had it done at other places. I also wish the foot scrub was longer than 30 seconds before foot. It felt so rushed and it was 100% useless because I left as calloused as I came in. While working on my neck, his one hand kept making my eye mask slowly slide off to the point that it was uncomfortable and distracting and messing up my eyelashes so I finally said something. It was mostly fine afterwards but still his other hand could have moved off my head and it would have been more ideal. Food service was god awful. We placed our order at 1:45 and it didn't arrive until nearly an hour later. My friend didn't get her food before she had to go get her service so they ended up holding it back and remaking it and it came out too early the second time. My burger came out as a cold overdone hockey puck missing the cheese with cold fries and my virgin piña colada came with rum. I sent the burger back and ask for it medium rare and got a hot one back that was still medium and tasted whatever. I was too hungry at that point so I ate half. There was no one checking in anyway to make sure it came out ok. The second piña colada was straight up pineapple juice over ice and way too sweet. If I could give this 0 stars I would but at least there's champagne and mini cupcakes... read more

I NO LONGER recommended Eau spa, such a shame, there is I believe 2 new manager lady's that I have never seen before there, not sure really who they even are, but they will follow you around and bother you not allowing you to take any photos of yourself, anywhere in the spa, They won't allow your friend with you to take your picture either apparently. So weird because this has NEVER been a rule before, specifically for me, and for the money other people spend to be here, they want to take photos, and enjoy there time there without being bothered by the rude managers, or whoever they were. I don't want those 2 to bother me ever again the next time I am there. I arrived 8 minutes late, and was rushed straight to a massage room fully dressed, with all my items in tow. When I asked to be allowed to change and store my items the therapist told me it would affect my time. The massage was horrible. I silently cried throughout the massage It was obvious the therapist was annoyed, and made me feel like I did something wrong. His massage movements were choppy and abrupt. He plopped an eye pillow over my eyes, threw the sheet about my body as he moved me in a non gentle way, and shoved the bolster under my knees. After the massage, I met the Estetician Emilia. She was lovely and uplifted me. She noticed me crying in the locker room and made me feel so cared for before during and after my facial. After my facial, I had a 2 hour break and decided to sit outside in a cabana in what they refer to as the Zen Garden. Keep in mind this is a high traffic area as it is used by what seems all staff, carrying fedex boxes and going in and out constantly. Within about 15 minutes of sitting there, a large group of business-attired, people (15-20) walked past speaking loudly, as they toured the facility. I definitely was not feeling the zen! All of it seemed to lack spa-like peace. Sitting outside gives you time to take a look at what the inside conceals. More on that later. It definitely does not have the look and feel of what looks like a luxury spa online. It does not have pristine grounds, and could use a power wash if you ask me. I could also of done without the tacky Halloween decorations too. There are loose, broken tiles in the water where guests walk to sit on the hanging chairs. I had the misfortune of scraping the bottom of my foot here. There was a huge hole in the white canopy above the cabana I sat in, exposing mold. Lacking in attention to detail: I was brought strawberries on a tray with no napkin. The snack area does not provide tongs or scoopers for any of the snacks. I then go to use the jacuzzi hoping to finally relax. Gross alert! This is the most disgusting jacuzzi I've ever been in! The entire inside of the jacuzzi rim is covered in black grime (see pic below). I don't know how this spa clears a health inspection. Absolutely shameful! I opted not to use the sauna or steam once I saw this. After I showered, and something I found odd, I noticed a male staff member in the ladies locker room, where I had seconds before been completely nude! I thought this highly disturbing. As my (actual) 50th bday spa day winded down, it became overwhelmingly clear of the lack of communication between the spa booking department and the actual spa. The booking agent I spoke to the night before, did not communicate a single one of my preferences to the spa. Note, when you call to book a service, you are speaking to someone sitting in their living room basically. They are not on site. Manicure and pedicure did not go as planned. My telling the agent I had hard gel on my natural nails and gel polish was not conveyed and I was paired with a nail tech who does not work with hard gel, so I wasn't able to receive my service. My pedicure was good and my blow out went good too. When I checked out, I was told that the massage and pedi were being comped, but the discount didn't seem substantial to what I paid. In the end what made my day nice was the Estetician, the nail tech and the hair Stylist. They could see it had not gone well for me, and were very nice and kind to me. Considering all that went awry, I found a way to leave with a smile. I Just wish a representative of the spa management would of came and found me at some point to acknowledge all of the the errors, and/or shown some concern. Will not be returning. read more

The spa is beautiful and the massage was great except it wasn't as relaxing as I would have liked. Treatment room was freezing and the massage table barely got warm. My feet and hands were cold as ice cubes after my treatment. The biggest issue was that it was so loud-- there were gaggles of women there for bachelorette parties etc. I ended up wearing noise cancelling headphones in even the quiet areas. Not the spas fault necessarily- but they could have managed this better. I planned on staying longer but left an hour after the treatment because it was so chaotic- seemed like a waste of money. read more

This is my second time at EAU Spa. I took my sister for her birthday this past week. I was previously at the Spa 11 months ago. The Spa has improved 100% since last year. It's very clean, fully staffed. From reception to the attendants all pleasant and attentive. The gardens are beautiful. The wet areas are very clean and nicely stocked with towels. Sauna and Steam rooms were spotless. The complimentary mini cupcakes, flavor waters and teas, wonderful. And the mimosas. There is a staff manager walking around the facility to make sure all the guests are happy. I had an excellent massage by a French masseuse. I am sorry I forgot his name. Make sure, your specified male or female when making your reservation. Our lunch while pricy was very good, which we enjoyed at the garden cabanas. There's also a new separate garden area where lunch is served. Make sure to get the menu and order from your attendant at check in. It will ensure your lunch is ready at the time requested. In the afternoon there's complimentary small Prosecco bottles served in the garden with strawberries. Valet parking is complimentary. It's season now in Florida, so the Spa is busy. Not as busy in the morning. Of course, I will be returning soon. This is an upscale, pricy Spa but well worth the expense. It is now my favorite Spa. read more

My esthetician did a wonderful job and my treatment room was perfect. Main issues are super duper crowded. It was hard to find a spot to relax and enjoy the spa before or after treatments. It was nearly impossible to find towels since so many guests. I wanted to try the pool with the above head rain but when I saw how filthy the actual drain from above I was immediately turned off. I know it's probably difficult to maintain this size of space but services are priced high so the expectations are also high. I'd consider returning only during a weekend in order to actually relax and enjoy myself. A tad disappointed. read more

Ehh overrated. Like many of the other reviews the spa is just okay. The facilities are over 42,000 sq ft with pools, jacuzzi, and lots of lots of treatments. The problem is that the treatments are pricey and they are NOT good. They try to do too much and it just fails. I was a guest at the hotel and booked a massage service and from entering in until the service I was passively being up sold services which is totally tacky. I booked the service I wanted I don't need upsells along the way until I take off my robe.. the service itself was 60 minutes but more like 45 min chop as go. They explain to you 4 different creams, different lighting, forget the creams have to go into the other room, just not smooth. Personally, it's a nice girls day but I would just go to the restaurant and pool instead. read more

Hands down this is my favorite spa! Let's start from the moment you walk in and are greeted with a ceremonial candle lighting and wish for your day along with being immediately handed a glass of champagne. First impressions are important and they've got this 100% right. Follow up that first impression with a tour of the spa so you know what's available and where. I've been to other spas and they haven't done that. It's such a simple thing and so valuable so you don't look lost exploring the place on your own and seeing where things are. Enter into the robes, changing rooms, and relaxation room with delicious complimentary cupcakes, tea, water and fruit. The ambiance is perfect, from the unique chandeliers to the outside patio swinging chairs that are just low enough to let your feet dangle in cool water so you don't over heat in the Florida weather. I've been here on 2 different occasions with a group of 3 ladies and a group of 6 and all of us just loved it. We were all very pleased with the services from facials and massages to mani/pedis. Definitely worth the money and any time I am in Florida, I'll go just for a day pass to relax. We also ordered lunch and had it delivered on the patio and the food was good, no complaints. It's a limited menu, but good enough options on the drinks and food. I highly recommend checking this place out and plan to spend a few hours, you won't regret it! read more

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I was treated like a queen by all staff at all times. The vibe was welcoming, peaceful and personalized. My massage therapist, Vladimir, thoroughly prepared for my personal experience. Before the session started he took the time to discuss what my pain points were and he tailored my massage to suit my body's needs. He educated me on how to continue the healing at home and recommended several ways to help my aging athletes body relieve pain, reduce inflammation, increase flexibility and strength. His demeanor was warm and caring and seemed like a genuinely amazing soul. I feel that I was paired with exactly the right person. I left the treatment feeling relaxed, loose and floating on air. Very grateful for his services. I would highly recommend him and the Eau spa to everyone a I know. I also dined at Savor and the Tuna Poke bowl was delicious, well balanced and so fresh. The champagne and cupcakes were a great touch. No limit on either which is nice! I got a hot stone massage and it was just ok. I've had some really outstanding ones at other high end spas. For the price it was not what it should have been. I was more impressed with the facilities then the massage. A high end hotel should have every guest walk away wanting to come back. My husband and I did a spa day while staying at the resort. I had a facial with Christy which was great and my husband did the day pass. We also rented the private garden villa for an hour and had lunch delivered. Facial - Christy was great - she was 5 stars. Very helpful and gave me a great facial. She also recommended products for my skin. Amenities- The spa was fully open except the steam room which was nice. It is a European style spa so no pictures in the women's area. I do wish they didn't allow phones, I saw some people with their phones near the women's spa area and that's always disrespectful to do especially when people are nude. Private Garden Villa - This was the biggest let down of the spa day. I coordinated w room service to deliver the food to the villa and they ended up finding us outside in the main area so I had to coordinate where they needed to go. Then it was our time in the villa and no one came out to get us. I had to walk around and ask for help, it's not a cheap experience. The villa was nice but it wasn't worth the money. I could hear the cars on the highway and it didn't feel tranquil at all. I wish they would've let us know - you have the villa for an hour feel free to go nude with the shower and bath and ill be back at 430 - no one came back for us and we both didn't know if we could go nude b/c we didn't want anyone walking in on us. We ended up packing up and leaving at 430. It just wasn't the experience I expected. All in all the spa day was nice but I would recommend getting a service so you get the day pass included or just doing the day pass and skip the private villa. read more

I've been going to the spa a few years now and was always a huge fan but my last visit 2 weeks ago was not so pleasant. My girlfriend booked the day as a surprise for my bday and specifically asked them to not send me any notifications or anything prior..well of course I got an email spilling the beans and the surprise was ruined a little annoying but I was still excited. Moving forward we went outside for lunch after our service and just venting a little to the bartender who was lovely btw he was very apologetic and was like let me do something to make up for it and we insisted it's ok but he still called for a manager to come out. When she came out I wanna say Shanel was her name she didn't come over to greet herself, apologize or anything she seemed more annoyed to be bothered by it, so we wrapped up lunch thanked the gentleman for trying and moved our way down to check out the beach, as soon as we sit down..sit down again not even laid down just sit for a second here comes this manager lady to let us know we were not allowed to be down there on the beach and as a matter or fact we could not even be sitting in that chair!! It was giving mall cop and I'm thinking wow..she couldn't even come over to apologize for their mistake but had no problem coming down reprimanding us like children. Not to mention there wasn't 1 person there not 1 person at the beach or anything. We said ok walked back inside and could see her mocking us and almost seemed she was making fun of us walking. Just definitely wasn't giving any good customer service, seemed super rude and left me not wanting to go back. It's not cheap to go to the spa with a service & lunch it could be a $800-$1k day and I got better service when we paid $150 for an all day Fairy Day pass. read more

This was my first massage so I thought it would be awkward but it was nothing but professionalism and attentiveness to my problem areas. 10/10 recommend.
