READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK. I will own that part of this bad experience was on me and I should have said something sooner during the massage. I booked a 90 minute massage. The pictures show the place accurately and Chanel is nice. However, the massage was 10% her pushing on spots of my body telling me 'hurts', 10% actual manual massage and then 80% her use this vibrating plate machine. Literally 72 minutes of vibration! While yes, I'm sure it loosened any lactic acid, but that isn't a massage. At the very end, she used a different vibrating tool on my neck which sent me into a coughing fit. When the massage was done I was stunned and a bit out of it, between the vibration and the coughing fit. I paid, I didn't leave a tip and Chanel stated 'oh you don't tip'. I did give a tip. But then it wasn't until well after the massage that I realized what I had just experienced. If you are ok with a massage where 80% is a vibrating tool, this is for you. If you want anything like a traditional massage, I would recommend you go elsewhere. read more

I had hurt my back while playing tennis, and I found Chanel on this site, after it was recommended to get massages. I have given 5 stars but if there was 10 I would post that. Chanel is very experienced in several types of massages. I prefer shiatsu ( walk on back) deep tissue and she is very skilled in this type, Swedish, foot and she likes to use vibration machines to smooth out knots in muscles. All are very therapeutic and she got me back on the tennis courts in a few weeks. Which to me, and my orthopedist, was amazing. Thank you Chanel. read more

Chanel has an amazing technique that definitely addresses deep tissue pain. She works very specific on each area until relief is achieved.

There was no massage- she only used a massage-gun type machine/device . I wish I would have known before-hand that this was the type of massage I would be receiving as I would not have booked. I asked her after she started using the machine on my legs if she would be using her hands as well and she said yes, that she was done with the machine....but she never used her hands and she brought the machine back out. This wasn't relaxing and didn't feel good, and I waited til the next day to see if maybe my muscles would somehow feel amazing today but...they didn't, and in fact my biceps feel bruised bc of the gun pounding them :( I also don't think it's safe using a massage gun/device on the base of the neck/head like that, I felt like my brain was getting scrambled. Chanel was very nice and I hate leaving a bad review but I feel like I got scammed and was deceived about what service I would be receiving. read more

About 3 years ago I was tired of visiting physical therapists and a chain massage/spas. They were not helping with my back and neck pain. My doctor also sent me to a pain meds doctor. Wasn't interested in that. I then searched for local massage therapists that used massaging machines rather than hands and found Pure Aromas. Chanel takes pride in relieving pain and the results have been great for me. I get a week's worth of pain relief after each treatment. I have been going to Chanel for over a year now for full body massage to remove knots, and loosen tight muscles and tendons. At first, I was skeptical of the machine to loosen knots but it really does work especially since I play a lot of golf and tennis. Combination of the machine and her hands are like no other for removing knots and loosen tight muscles and tendons and relaxation. I highly recommend Chanel for a regular body maintenance schedule of therapeutic massage. read more

I hope you like to have walks taken......on your back that is...that is what you will get here. But she finds your knots like its no longer your problem. Professional status? A-plus! So much so that there are 2 signs-1 in the massage room and 1 in the table shower room stating no sexual services here or else!. Very sweet lady. Comfortable atmosphere. I'm visiting town for a few days. After traveling and sleeping on multiple different beds my back is all tensed up. I stumbled across Pure Aromas Spa here on yelp and read the reviews because the place is fairly new. Being a small business owner myself I would being a small business owner myself, I perfer to give my business to other small business owners. I called to make an appointment and the phone was answered almost immediately by Chanel, the owner. We scheduled an appointment for 2 hours later. First of all, Chanel's technique is nothing like I've ever felt before and it was amazing! How does such strong pressure come out of such a small woman? Chenel knows what she's doing for sure! I had an amazing one hour massage followed by a complementary body scrub and table shower which was the cherry on top. I will definitely try and come back and get a facial before I leave town. Any time I'm back in town the first thing I will do is book a massage appointment with the lovely Chanel. LADIES, this is not a spa just for men!
