Eat's Sushi is a nice little spot on the corner. The inside is a little... interesting--they have a "light-up artificial tree," but hey, don't judge! The place seems dark but food was really good, especially the sushi. Just keep in mind that ordering à la carte can add up quickly. If you're hungry, the rolls and sushi can get expensive fast, so order wisely. There's no lunch special which is a bummer. However, if you check in with Yelp (think offer is still available), you'll get a free fountain soda. Service is great...fast and reliable.

My family loves sushi... well, actually my daughter and wife do. The other one is all about udon, and the small one is our resident karaage expert. Lol. Me? I pretty much love everything. I've been trying a lot of sushi restaurants lately, and for some reason Eat Sushi just didn't completely hit the spot for me. Don't get me wrong--the ingredients tasted fresh, from the seaweed to the fish, but some of the regular sushi felt like it was missing a little character or that extra something that makes you want another piece. Now, the sashimi and the no-rice sushi? Those are the ones to look out for. Really good flavor and definitely the standouts of our meal. Service was fast and efficient, although it came across a little snobbish at times. The place itself is okay, but it can get pretty crowded, especially during peak hours, and expect a line when it gets busy. Portions were decent, prices were fair, and there's a good variety for the whole family. I'd probably come back and focus more on the sashimi and some of their specialty items next time. Yelp me, Yelp you!

Came in here and it was bustling. Super cute spot to have a meal. For ordering, you mark what you want on a paper and they take it to the kitchen. Super fresh fish. I got nigiri and a classic roll. Super affordable. I got seconds and still the price was extremely reasonable! Would recommend!

Overall a 3.5/5z Service was good and food was decent but nothing to rave about. This place is pretty hyped up on Reddit for its quality and affordability. I don't see the hype to be honest. We skipped out on the nigiri but had several rolls (alaskan roll, sushi blossom, hamachi roll), appetizers (soft shell crab), and dinner combo (steak teriyaki). Nothing to complain about quality wise, but at the same time, nothing too special about their rolls either. I'd compare their roll quality to most all you can eats and if that's the case you might as well go to a quality AYCE to spend a similar amount. If we are talking about nigiri, the most expensive omakase set at a place like SugarFish is actually cheaper than here. One dish did standout and that was the soft shell crab appetizer. We got this twice! If i were to come back here, it would only be bc of the soft shell crab appetizer for $8.99.

Super long wait but servers were nice and attentive. Salmon was fresh and we enjoyed the vibe and the food a lot! The restaurant is a bit small tho so that explains the wait Any sushi with salmon is good but I think they're a little bit more on the higher price compares to other sushi spot I've been to

If you're in Costa Mesa. I would call this place a MUST try. This we came in for lunch and I could not believe how good this sushi was for the price tag. If I lived closer to Costa Mesa, I would be there probably weekly. The service here is so good. They're so fast. So kind. Not a water I had that didn't get refilled before it was empty. I love these local spots like this. They're hidden gems. The outside is just in a shopping center but the inside of the spot is so put together and gives off such good vibes. Cheers!

I've had Eats Sushi on DoorDash before and loved it, so I was excited to finally go in person. Dine-in didn't hit quite the same for me, though I'll give it the benefit of the doubt since we ended up at an 8:45PM reservation after missing our first one. Later in the night may not be the best time to judge the food. First things first: make a reservation through Yelp. If you show up on a weekend without one you're looking at at least an hour wait. The place is packed for a reason. The service was genuinely impressive. I have never had sushi come out that fast in my life. Edamame was on the table within 4 minutes of ordering and 3 rolls followed just 2 minutes after that. They clearly have the staffing to keep things moving even on their busiest nights. The surprise star of the meal for me was the beef teriyaki. I wasn't expecting much from it but the flavor was really great. The baked scallop roll was a little disappointing though, the scallops just didn't taste as good as I was hoping. And a small but appreciated detail: the chopsticks are actually good quality. No wrestling apart a wooden pair and ending up with splinters everywhere. We were seated near a tree in the back which gave us a nice bit of privacy, which made it feel great for a date night. It's also a popular spot for OCC students so the vibe is casual and lively. I'd come back and try it earlier in the evening to give it one more shot.

I really enjoyed every aspect of our meal! Be ready for a bit of a wait but it's worth it and they actually turn covers fairly quickly. Our food started coming out very quickly! The sushi is so fresh and the price is reasonable. I love the 4 piece option for $8.00 instead of 6 for $18.00 like most places. We could order more variety in rolls this way with 2 people. The New Style Sashimi options are incredible. The ExGirlfriend was a great No Rice roll. The menu is structured very well to give you no rice or fried roll options. The Spicy tuna is the best I've had! The hand roll was really nice with the toasted sesame! The toasted flavor really enhanced the roll. Service was INCREDIBLE! Attentive and friendly! The ambiance is lively and fun! Highly recommend this spot!!!!

I went here over the weekend with my boyfriend, and the food was so good and very affordable for how much was ordered. The gyoza was super crunchy. I honestly forgot which rolls we ordered, but everything was fresh with no complaints. Our waitress/server was great. She checked in multiple times throughout the dinner. The restaurant itself was nice as well. Very clean and good environment to be in and have a date night.

Takeout Order Review - I was PMS craving sushi and decided to order from Eat's! Ordering online is super easy and convenient. When I picked up my food, I was greeted and welcomed in. They were so nice and communicative about the order status. I had a few minutes until my order was ready, so I took a looksie around. The inside and outside are both clean and decorated beautifully. They have cute cherry blossom trees and a nice welcoming vibe inside. Everyone working was so nice and helpful! The sushi itself was so yummy! I ordered 3 rolls that came out to about $24. It was a great price and the sushi itself was tasty. The to-go bags, utensils, and supplies were good quality and durable. EATS has it all, great food, great atmosphere, great service. I'll definitely be back!

Been here several times with my wife most recently. If you swing by during off peak hours (after 1pm weekdays) there's basically no wait. Each time we've visited there seems to be new staff whom are always very attentive and supportive! The food comes out incredibly fast and the relaxing/calm vibes easily help retain new customers. The no rice sushi rolls are great, along with takoyaki loaded with squid, and the yellowtail sashimi is a must try. Hard to go wrong with any of the dishes!

We Love this sushi spot! great food. The atmosphere is also great. Service is great. Will def come back.

This is a cute sushi spot. The wait wasn't too bad, once we were sat we had a best service. We ordered California, spicy California and baked salmon rolls and they were all really tasty. There are plenty of options to choose from and the portions are good. I will definitely go back.

The restaurant was very spacious and clean. First red flag was that they didn't have miso soup... what kind of sushi restaurant doesn't have miso soup lol. For the first round, we were limited to 10 pieces per person and the service was extremely slow with long waits between rounds. We even had one order of uni come out as literally just rice and seaweed with no uni?? And this was when they weren't even busy. The rolls were terrible, loosely rolled, drowned in sauce, and lacking flavor. The nigiri was the only thing that saved the meal. The fish-to-rice ratio was good but the fish itself was mediocre. They advertise bluefin tuna toro but what we got was more like negitoro rather than an actual piece of toro nigiri. The salmon belly also seemed exactly like the regular salmon with no noticeable difference. Service definitely needs improvement too. Whenever we needed something, the staff were nowhere to be found or cleaning instead of checking on tables. For the price, I expected a lot better in both food and service. With so many AYCE sushi options at a similar price point, I'd rather go somewhere else next time.

Our initial wait time was supposed to be 20 minutes but it got extended by an additional 15 minutes. We were willing to wait as we could tell if we went anywhere else it would be the same situation. Once we were called up we were seated right away. The space inside is small but they also offer outdoor seating, we requested indoor since it was hot. Our server stopped by and asked us what we'd like to drink and also mentioned if you follow them on Instagram you get a free can of soda! So we did and got a can each. She gave us time to look over the menu and we filled out the sheet provided. This isn't AYCE so make sure you order as much as you can finish! We ordered the following: Salmon Blue Crab Fatty Tuna sushi Cucumber wrap Zen roll Baked scallops roll Popcorn roll New Style Salmon Sashimi (my favorite) Everything was great, tasted fresh and had the right proportions! Our food came out pretty quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. The Miso Crab Salmon was the biggest surprise of the night. We normally don't gravitate toward crab dishes at sushi restaurants because they can sometimes be overly creamy, but we had seen so many good things about this one that we had to try it. No regrets! A few standout dishes from our order: Seared Engawa w/ Caviar: Engawa is one of my favorite cuts of halibut in general, and this is a must-try. Not every place has it since it's just the fin muscle and there's only so much per fish. Lightly torched to render the rich fat, topped with caviar--it completely melted.
