The hamburger was 3 pieces of meat on a stale bun The chips were crumbs from the bottom of the bag 5. I was charged an extra dollar for the plain hamburger than what the menu listed (deluxe cheeseburger was $1 more) 6. I paid with a $20 bill for a $9.13 bill 7. The change I was given was 2 $5 bills (they just kept the $.87 change) I left a whole dollar tip and left! Other than poor service, poorly prepared burger, stale bun, bad chips, incorrect charge and incorrect change, everything was fine. I think they just want to sell pizzas!

Made great friends but eventually my husband was promoted, and we left Ohio, very sad to go. But we have fond memories of our time and friends there, and recently we returned, after 20 years, to attend a friend's funeral. While living there, one of our favorite restaurants was Hickory Inn. While there we returned and it was like stepping into a time warp. It hasn't changed much. Made me very nostalgic. Food was pretty much the same. They have a varied menu, but are best known for their pizza. This is not fine dining, but solid, good food in a semi-dive bar setting. I enjoyed returning.

It had grilled chicken (chewy but tasted good,) brown rice, Kalamata olives, diced tomatoes, cuke bees, chickpeas, and roasted red peppers. A serving of good tzatziki sauce came with it. I'll try some other things next time.

We had a fabulous b-day dinner at Cecil and Lime out on the outside porch…read more We started with the bruschetta, the tomatoes topping is sweet and peppery, delicious. Then we got salads: I got a wedge salad and Richelle got the Cecil house salad. Wonderful salads plenty of dressing. Then for dinner go big for a b-day: We got the tomahawk ribeye, from Woodruff farms, cooked perfectly medium rare by the staff. This was our first tomahawk ribeye, it's impressive and enough for two with leftovers. Blue cheese dip for the ribeye, yes; cold or hot, that's the question! Richelle got the Mac-n-cheese for a side, a good choice. For desert we had the tuxedo cake with ice cream and berry sauce. The staff put a candle in the cake and sang happy birthday to Richelle. This is a locally owned very nice GOURMET dinner restaurant, with fantastic staff and relaxed atmosphere. Service is top notch, waitstaff is friendly and informative. The waitstaff answered all our questions and made suggestions to make dinner out special. They bring your check in a book, so you can sign the guest book. This is their 21st year in business. We even got to chat with the owners who stopped in for dinner, and sat outside next to us.

What a wonderful evening. Our party of eight celebrated a birthday at Cecil and Lime, and…read moreeverything--from service to atmosphere--was excellent. Most impressive was how perfectly executed every dish was--the filet perfectly medium-rare, the salmon and lamb were flawless and cooked true medium and tender, the lasagna excellent, the potatoes au gratin beautifully caramelized, and the asparagus crisp-tender with a perfect char. Truly outstanding execution across the board. The restaurant matches any fine-dining spot in Dayton-Springfield but with a lively instead of stuffy atmosphere. A singer-pianist duo played jazz standards, adding a nice touch. Pricing was also very fair for the quality: most entrées were in the high $20s to $30s (the filet higher), while comparable places would be $10-$20 more for similar meals. For anyone in the Dayton-Springfield area, this is absolutely a destination. Enjoy!

The batter was that perfect golden crisp where every bite had that little crunch, but the fish itself was flaky and melt-in-your-mouth soft. You know when something is fried just right and not heavy or greasy at all? That. And the tartar sauce?? Not your average situation. It had this fresh, almost elevated flavor that made everything even better. I was literally dipping every last bite like I didn't trust the plate not to disappear. But honestly, what made it even more special was the people. Every single staff member was so kind and welcoming, and the chef actually came out to talk with us. I got to thank him personally for making me such an amazing gluten-free meal, which meant a lot because that's not always easy to find.
