We stopped by when we saw they had posted that they were open for walk in hours today! So glad we did! This little gem is located in up town Urbana with a parking lot right beside it. The restaurant is decorated with Italian charm without the over cluttered feel of many Italian restaurants. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They were able to answer any questions we had about the menu and offered suggestions as well. The food is fresh authentic Italian and the menu is a nice variety without overwhelming the diner or the kitchen. We had the ravioli that was on special and a pizza - both were delicious! They also had a nice offering of Italian sweets that were very tempting, but we were so full from our entrees that we didn't partake this time. We will certainly be back to try the lasagna! read more

A great gem in a small town. I had the garlic shrimp and pasta. Excellent. Great service. Warm, friendly, inviting atmosphere. The quiet music in the background made things even better. For me, most restaurants have blaring music which forces you to listen to it. I wish them great success. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back. read more

Had an amazing brunch here over this past weekend. I've been wanting to try this place and finally made last minute reservations (one hour prior to open for Sunday brunch). Very pleased with the last minute availability. The ambiance is very nice, vintage vibes and a lovely bar! The food was SO flavorful and filling. Very good value for the amount of food you get! Cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, drink, entree w eggs & potato cake, and a dessert for $25. Service was quick and efficient! Will be going back to try lunch/dinner! read more

If anyone needs a wonderful place to eat 20 minutes away in Springfield is a Hidden Gem called Eatly. We did Sunday brunch and they had $20 per person brunch. Choice of 5 differ meals with drinks We tried the the double delicious biscuit sandwiches, a black and bleu panini with salad and zucchini fries , and finally the best homemade lasagna salad and garlic bread We all loved the experience and meals. This outdoor restaurant is a gem off the beaten path we found on a whim. And boy are we glad we did! The name is a take on Italy--often pronounced "Itly". Tom, the owner, cooks with love and passion using his grandmother's Italian recipes. The setting is comfortable, quirky and unique. Our table was a piano under a shade umbrella. We had the Italian nachos and pork sliders for openers and shared their famous lasagna for the entree. Everything was delicious! For dessert, the strawberry shortcake with a twist was a taste of heaven. The chocolate Kahlua mouse cake was all that and more. We would highly recommend the herbal sangria. No alcohol is served and it is open seasonally with limited hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Tom is starting a Sunday brunch for the summer. We will have to go back. Call ahead and make reservations. We got stuck in a back room with just a " bistro table " Very disappointed no wine or any alcohol. Limited drinks selection. The sauce is " sweet" as in desert sweet. No other flavors just sweet. I'm from out of state, but this place makes me want to move here! The ambiance is absolutely lovely and reminds you of home. I cannot say anything about the food that will do it justice. This cozy restaurant located near Wittenberg serves amazing Italian specialties including a fine selection of Italian beverages. While the antipasto selections were tempting and the pasta choices inspired and inspiring, I chose the Tuscan Veggie Pizza and it was the perfect choice, easily the best veggie pizza I have ever had. Nice, thick crust that held up well to the abundant array of toppings and well-flavored sauce. Next time I'll have to try one of the braciole options. They do offer heated "igloos" for an outdoor dining option as cooler weather has hit. read more
