Pretty much your average, run of the mill country home cooking restaurant. When it's rainy at camp we have popped in for breakfast on occasion. Nice variety on the menu. Nothing very note worthy to recommend however.
Last week we decided to try dinner. (We had once ordered dinner for delivery and were pleased with the portions and price) Now, I am assuming our waitress had no experience waitressing. I'ld be extremely shocked if she did. And for some reason they are hiring almost constantly. Three of us in our party and we started out with appetizers. One appetizer arrived and was eaten before we ever saw the second one. When we finally got her attention to get drink refills she poured us a lemonade and a tea. NO ice!!! Had to ask for a glass of ice. We got one apparently to share.
My husband ordered a small pizza which he had almost entirely eaten before the other 2 of us got our food. Fried chicken was juicy and my son's chicken fried steak was a good portion. We were never checked on again after our food arrived. In fact, I had to go to the server's station to find condiments we needed. I was billed for a salad but never got it nor did she ever check back in with us so I could remind her it was missed.
After our meal we waited and waited. No check, no acknowledgement. So, we go to the register to get a bill and pay. We waited and waited...the waitress and 2 other employees just stared at us. As we are standing there looking stupid, the waitress grabs a packet of dressing for a salad. She drops it on the dirty kitchen floor, picks it up and laid it right against the salad. That was the final straw for us. Just disgusting !!
If you want a good pizza delivered and will bring you beer too than I would suggest that is the way to go. It gets there hot and quick and hopefully wasn't dropped on the kitchen floor as it was boxed.
Good management and good help would make a MAJOR difference in this place. Until then, we'll wait to make a return visit. read more
