Ate at Eatcetera for the first time today. It came recommended by friends. They knew what they were talking about. we were greeted by Chef Leena and were seated at a table of our choice. The menu selections had a nice variety. pictured is the marinated tofu, sun dried tomato panini. It was Epic!! the salad was delicious and I was surprised at the jasmine tea. really refreshing! Everything was reasonably priced and the ambiance was perfect! I cant wait to go again!!

We came here for lunch as i really want some good salad, when i search salad on yelp, this place come out. 4.5 stars, i decided to have a try! When we walked in, we are not sure about the food, but the menu looks nice, and the lady is very friendly. I ordered their angus beef salad, husband got their panini, both are really good. My salad dressing is something worth dying for, i almost want to drink it. The beef is very tender and juice. I will definitely come back if i ever come to Galveston again.

Halloween night we went to the railroad museum in which Eatcetera supplies all the food there in the little restaurant. We went for a tour and hayride and stopped to eat; we had a panini and a all beef hotdog...both delicious! Museum is cool...haven't seen it since I was a kid...lots of history. Circa 1929 I think.

Really glad we chose this place to eat before heading to our cruise! Food was so fresh and crisp! I'm always a sucker for lux bagel and it did not disappoint! Absolutely fantastic server! She was funny, attentive, and made us feel like she was welcoming us in her home! Very cute and calm ambience and was very welcoming. Will defo be back next cruise!

Was so glad to find a place in Galveston that has vegan options. They are super knowledgeable and careful with food allergies which is so rare! The food was great and the location is convenient to downtown Galveston. They have games that you can play while waiting for your food. Prices were decent and the portion sizes were good. Highly recommend! :)

The great thing about this place is the combination of art and food. Set up like a coffee shop that you would find before Starbucks. The food was great. They have gluten free options as well. Kid's menu also

I nabbed a zucchini sandwich that was delicious! They gave me a choice of chips or salad as my side. I got the salad which had a homemade dijon dressing that made me want more. After passing so many little food spots still closed after being flooded a few days ago, I was excited to find this comfortable hole in the wall sandwich shop; open. Looking forward to going back.

    Little app they brought me!

This was some of the beat service I have ever had on the island! They also had SO MANY delish vegan and vegetarian options- also tough to find on the island! My waitress was super helpful with knowing exactly what was in each option! This was so tasty and so clean! Having healthy restaurant options is so important and they accomplish it beautifully!

Why 4 stars? Because it was tasty, but the service was a bit off. --- --- --- A family trip to Galveston led to me immediately turning to Yelp to learn about the best of the area. Despite growing up in Friendswood, the last time I'd been to Galveston was definitely in the days before Yelp, so I was curious to see what was high on the list down here. It turned out, Eat Cetera definitely had the best reviews of any restaurant around, so it was one of our first stops after we got settled in! We enjoyed our meal, but were expecting a bit more, from the highest rated restaurant in Galveston. First off, there were only a couple other diners in the restaurant, but we would go prolonged periods of time being seeing our server. I ordered a black angus roast beef salad with thai peanut-chili dressing. I planned on ordering a panini, but I thought that the combination of roast beef and peanut dressing was just too interesting to pass up. It ended up being pretty "simple" in its taste, but I enjoyed it. We ordered the creme brulee cheesecake for dessert, because, um... it's creme brulee cheesecake! It was solid! If I find myself in Galveston again, I would definitely make a return visit to try out one of those Panini's. I'm going to guess we caught them on a weird day/time because the high overall rating says that service is not normally an issue here.

Free appetizer- house made bread with tomato cream cheese

Fabulous Experience- will be back! warm welcome from Front of House and attentive service! Variety of selection- lingering warm taste! Simple Lunch well done Free cookie to top off the experience

Roast beef sandwich with blue cheese sauce and a side order of red miso ramen

Ate here for lunch while in town for work. It's quaint and welcoming, plus the food is pretty good. The menu isn't very big, but you're bound to find something in the unique list of options. I ordered the roast beef sandwich that had a blue cheese sauce on it and a side order of the soup of the day, which was red miso ramen. The flavors were fresh and comforting. The bread for my sandwich was a little too much for me to manage as it was thick and crispy. I had a hard time getting a bite with bread and all the sandwich contents. Other than that, I really enjoyed my lunch. We also got some vegan chocolate chip cookies to go. They were soft and chewy! There were several vegan and vegetarian options on the lunch menu and the dessert menu. I'll definitely be back! Ps. I only saw a paid street parking, so plan accordingly!

Lots of good options on the menu, and I was craving their famous cinnamon roll pancakes, but then a server brought out migas to a table and I immediately knew I wanted that instead. Here, it's a little opposite from most places, you gotta pick your seat first then order as the seats, especially the tables, are hard to come by at times. There are plenty stools along the window but the tables are better and most tables are family style so you'll likely be meeting someone new. I also added a chocolate bread pudding for myself which looked really good. The rest of my group ordered the granny's breakfast with sausage, 2 scrambled eggs and Benny's tostadas. The food comes out surprisingly quick for as busy as they are. Everything was so delicious! I ate a little of the bread pudding at the restaurant, then eventually ate the rest over the course of the next few hours. Yum! This restaurant is highly recommended!

People rave about the service. The service is fine. You order at the counter and get your own silverware and drinks. The food is another story. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. Mash was fine. Corn was whatever. From can to plate. Nothing added. The CFS was atrocious. It was like breaded & over salted shoe leather. See the pictures. I couldn't eat all of it. The best thing on the plate was the toast. Oh, and they charge $19 for it. Whether frozen or homemade, which I doubt, to deliberately serve this to a customer, shame on you. My wife got the BLT. $13.50 for bread and lettuce with a little bacon. No mayo or mustard. Plain and bland. We realized later that you have to procure your own condiments, I think. Still, it was not good. The fries were undercooked and tasted baked. Sorry, but I feal betrayed by social media and what must be friendly reviews. This review is honest. The place is cool and I had high hopes but was sorely disappointed. Oh, I had a piece of cherry cheesecake. It was good.

On the first visit, my dining partner ordered the omelette which looked amazing! You're able to choose your own ingredients. My chicken salad sandwich on a croissant was mediocre. Service was a bit lacking that day though, and I noticed several flies buzzing about next to us by the window. We didn't have to wait to be seated either day, so that is really nice. After much searching we came across this locals favorite and decided to try it out. This was the first place where I tried a poached egg and it was PERFECT! Many times I have thought fondly of this place but haven't had the heart to check and see if it is still open since many tropical storms and floods have hit Galveston since our last visit. Covid happened since our last visit too! I mentioned this place to a friend and she got excited over the building. Hearing her mention the building, I searched the business. Sure enough, it is still open!!! I now need to make the trip back out to this delicious memory lane.

We hadn't had food from Mama Teresa's in quite some time, but last night I saw a Facebook post from them showcasing their crab claws in spicy marinara. I happen to love crab claws and this post reminded me that Mama Teresa's had some good ones. Tonight's dinner from Mama T's: spicy crab claws and shrimp in marinara and a large pizza with extra cheese, bell peppers, and black olives. We're talking about some excellent eats here. Even our car Rudy approved of the shrimp (de-sauced by his mommy, me) and devoured all the pieces that I allowed him to have. Oh, about that sauce -- it's really good! The spice is bold but there's an underlying depth of flavor that indicates someone takes sauce very seriously indeed. I'm a big fan. While I thought the crab might've been a smidge over cooked (they were still quite tasty), the shrimp were perfection. Orange tabby cats agree! The pizza got a thumbs up from my husband who approved of the quality of the ingredients. That said, he wanted a heavier hand with the toppings and a little more tang in the sauce. I enjoyed it, but both of us wanted more rise in the crust and some char. Ours was a pick up order, but next time we'll dine in. Dan noticed that their draft beer selection was better than most, and the wine choices were okay, too. My take away - visit places that you've unintentionally put on the back burner. You'll probably be very pleasantly surprised. Eat and shop locally!!
