There is a small parking lot for this restaurant. The service is great though. We were seated right away. The space is big, open and airy. The servers were attentive and checked in. There is a full bar and outdoor seating as well. The food was good. I enjoyed my chicken salad. The black beans were excellent. It is a good portion for the price.

I stopped by here a couple of nights ago for dinner. My wife and I were trying to find a place to eat when we came across Vida Agave. We had actually driven past this place a number of times during the week we were in Galveston, so we knew exactly where it was. The inside of the restaurant is interesting, as the bar looks like a metal-roofed beach bar and fits nicely inside the space with its roughly 20-foot-high ceilings. I had placed our order online, and it said it would be ready in 20 to 25 minutes. When I arrived 23 minutes later, our order was ready, and I was quickly in and out. For dinner that evening, I went with the surf and turf burrito while my wife chose the seafood quesadilla. The menu described mine as beef fajita, grilled shrimp, guacamole, fried string onions, and rice, served with charro beans on the side. My first thought when I saw my burrito was that it looked a little small, but there was plenty of shrimp and beef inside, and it tasted great. By the time I finished it, I realized it definitely wasn't small after all. Afterward, I started in on the charro beans, which ended up being delicious. They had a nice kick to them, and the beans themselves were really flavorful. If all beans tasted like this, I'd be making or ordering them more often. My wife enjoyed her seafood quesadilla as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our food, and I especially liked those charro beans.

Very nice humble restaurant. Staff was great, the got us seated fast with chips and drinks. Lots of classic Mexican food options to choose from, though there aren't much options. I went during a busy time and the service was still good and super fast. Food was hot, fresh, and very good. No bad comments! I recommend trying this place out if you enjoy eating Mexican food or are looking to eat something with lots of choices.

Love this place so much! Every time I visit Galveston I come here at least once. Ceviche is amazing. Flautas plate is amazing. Ice cream taco dessert is amazing. Salsas are flavorful. Service is really great too. Highly recommend.

In town from Austin to file some paperwork and unfortunately reached the courthouse at lunchtime... Or now I should say, fortunately! While waiting for the clerk to return from lunch, I walked across the street to Vida Agave for something basic. Wowww!!! What a local gem! It's not in the popular tourist areas, but is tourist worthy. Service was impeccable and genuinely caring. Her heart was right there. The food star.... Birria Tacos! Can I get an OMG?!?! The two salsa that were served. We're both fantastic. I am all about flavor and not in need of hot for the heck of it. These did not disappoint and were fabulous. I have phenomenal cooks in our family and my son was in the restaurant industry for 14 years and a former chef. I had to message him immediately and tell him how wonderful this was. He was so jealous. So authentic. So delicious. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back. Until then, if you're reading this, I hope you'll go sooner.

This place was voted best tacos in Galveston, and I can taste why. The chips and salsa were my first indicator that I was in for a treat. The tamarind Paloma was unexpectedly my favorite Paloma ever. The chimichurri asada tacos were very good, but the rice and beans were my favorite part of the meal. I will be thinking of this place until next time I'm on the island. Fantastic service and with a group of about 30, I was impressed with the efficiency. Very cool place, I highly recommend checking it out!

When back for the second time. It was better than the first. Hit 5 stars. The strawberry margarita hit the spot and was very tasty. Also had the stuffed jalapeño to start with omg it was good. The fajitas for me entree was great meat. The bean were amazing. I think it may be my go to meal.

Enjoyed a lovely happy hour on a Friday at Vida Agave! The happy hour specials were good, and the margarita's were delicious. I had the street corn and margarita from the happy hour menu, and my entrée was from the regular menu. I enjoyed the beer battered salmon taco. For a small extra charge, they replaced the tortilla with a lettuce wrap. The rice and beans were delicious. Service was fast and friendly and the environment was super cute. It's not a large place, but it's definitely a solid little corner restaurant on a popular street in Galveston.

My partner and I were looking for some decent seafood and we didn't want to hazard the beachfront restaurants with their crowds and high prices. Vida Agave had great reviews so we made our way over to its location across from the federal courthouse. We greatly enjoyed the drinks and food as everything was made with care and fresh ingredients. The ceviche was decent but my favorite was the mahi mahi tacos done lettuce wrap style. The protein portions were huge in all of our entrees. Service was very attentive and made you feel right at home. There was a lot of energy in the dining room but the music and noise was kept at a reasonable level so we could enjoy our meal. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended.

First time coming here. The hostess was quick in getting us a table. The ambiance is casual and homey. Outdoor dining is available. Our waitress took our drink and appetizer order and it was out quick. We ordered the wrapped jalapeños as appetizers and they were delicious. Hot peppers, so if you don't like hot, skip them. They are chicken and cheese filled, very good. We ordered the flautas and the mini beef tacos. The mini tacos were delicious with tender beef, onions and cilantro and filled well. The flautas were also good. I ordered a michelada with a michelob and it was very tasty and worth it. We met a couple who had just arrived from a cruise since the port is not too far away. I would definitely recommend and come back again.

Absolutely AMAZING! The tomatillo salsa was incredible along with everything else we had. You really can't beat homemade, fresh and tasty food like this. I had the shrimp tacos - 10/10. My husband had the enchiladas I think? Also a 10/10. Service was excellent - ambiance was incredible and fun and we would definitely go back if we were in the area.

The entrance is so fun and charming. I love how 50s hula music is playing while you enter the bar. The hula girl wallpaper in the bathroom also plays well into the theme. One of my friends was six months pregnant at the time and found the mocktail selection to be really good. We were quite full from dinner but didn't mind the snack offerings. I explained I'm gluten intolerant, and the bartender went through the snack pairings I could have. My drink (Speaky Tiki Old Fashioned) came with the rice, and it was so, so good. We actually plan on coming back this weekend, and I'm salivating at the thought of the crispy rice. Don't skip out on this place! It's one of the best speakeasies I've been to.

Well, well, well, Pineapple Parlor, aren't you a sight for sore eyes?…read morePineapple Parlor is a tiki speakeasy lounge offshoot off Daiquiri Time Out in historic downtown Galveston (former Red Light District, in fact). I mean what better place for a tiki bar than a beach town? The drinks menu is as extensive as DTO. They've got the tiki standards, Zombie and Painkiller as well as a slew of others. The Kumquat Tot is hands down my favorite. Kumquat, gin, mint, and a few other choice ingredients make this one of the most unique and refreshing cocktails I've ever had. Drinks are served in classic tiki glassware. I dig the vibe here real hard. It's rad. Decor is thatched walls, huts, voodoo, fire, and skulls. Mood lighting enhances the overall theme. It screams Brunch Time. Some folks were dressed nicely and others were dressed more casually. This place is pretty popular, so there is probably going to be a line. There are nice beach chairs and a bar for you to enjoy while you wait. All of the drinks looked really good. Our wait was 25 min, but it was a bit longer and I lost track of time. They request a phone number, but dont have a corresponding system to text you, just a young lady calling names that you hope to hear. Parking: Parking is a bit of a situationship. My advice: read all of the street signs because some streets require you to pay and the signs are very faded. Street parking is available because they dont own any lots. Also, the Galveston Pakring enforcement were out giving tickets. Food: The pictures online are sooooo amazing. It just makes you want to order everything. Plus, the menu is very descriptive. Our table ordered the usual Brunch stuff the blueberry pancakes, French toast, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. I would say the best of them would be the chicken and waffles. Shrimp and grits was an acquired taste... it was a bit smoky and not a natural smoke. More like a liquid smoke and the tomato base wasnt quite cooked down all the way. The pancakes were so big and they looked light and fluffy, but they had a cornmeal consistency that I wasn't a fan of. You could see the blueberries, but couldn't really taste the lemon. The French Toast were okay. Eventhough its not my go to, this seemed to be the best that we ordered. It is succcch a cute place. If I do go back, I will surely try something different.
