Giving it 4 stars in the airport experience category. The food by Rome standards would rank far below par, however by airport food standards it is a welcomed relief. Drink options are ample, coffees are tasty and it also comes with great people watching options whether you're near the rail watching the people below in the terminal or just watching people inside. It's also a great place to pick up a last minute gift.

Nice clean establishment, variety of merchandise, and open 24 hours. Staff is friendly and it is a very nice setup. Food is good I had croissants with pistachios and a cappuccino.

    Baguette sandwiches.

Located in terminal 3 Eately is a all in one place for all types of Italian foods. Baguette sandwich's, croissants, coffee, pizza and more eateries that were closed when I was there in the morning. This morning I got a cappuccino, pistachio croissant and a baguette sandwich for the plane. You order at the register then bring your receipt to the sandwich or coffee station after you've ordered. There is a seating area and tables around the corner after you get your items. I felt like the croissants and cappuccino were high quality. Definitely a step up in what you expect from airport food

Wine and snacks n this little stop over...

We decided to sit at the bar at Eataly to be waited on not the same menu as out on the floor. We decided on a bottle of wine, meat & cheese charcuterie and capris salad! Hit the afternoon snack spot!! Quick, friendly service

Two places that stood out: - Trapizzino (cone shaped bread with filling inside) I got the meatball one and was so good, the bread was also so fresh! - Truffle pasta from Savini Tartufi (a bit pricey at 22 euro) the pasta and flavour was exactly as I imagined it to be, it was worth the money! Also got a slice of pizza, artichoke, and a sandwich that were all pretty good as well! Do NOT get pasta from La Pasta Fresca. I got the carbonara that's supposedly "fresh" but I am convinced it was not. The pasta was so hard and way too salty. After a few days in Rome, I can confirm this is probably the worst pasta I have had. There are washrooms in the back of the market. Along with table service for coffee and drinks. We were a group of 6 and took a round to find a table but it was not too hard to find. All the vendors we went to accepted credit card.

Another outpost in the Gabriele Bonci pizzempire. And same great quality. Pizza al taglia (by the…read morepiece) cut to order. Pizzas of 20 varieties at a time with more coming out every few minutes. We love them all, even the potato chip one! They also have a nice selection of pastries and cookies but we didn't try those. The Mercato Centrale is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and the train traveling experience with other great vendors there as well. It's a wonderful foodie food court including the equally splendid Trapazzino which is another place to try if you still have room after Bonci.

A yes! Testacio! who does not love this party neighborhood!…read moreLast time i went here was back in 2012!! but hey i went to this place like twice a month so i can still review it! This is not like the American version of Chinese food, they have to improvise on a lot of things. That being said the food is still good and edible. The waiters did not speak English only Italian so this gives you an idea of how this part of town is not touristy at all. They still manage to communicate with us on what we want to order. A couple of times i been here with my friends and someone just pointed to what someone was eating to the table next to us and the waiter knew that's what we wanted haha good times. In terms of staff they all were friendly even tho we did not understand 90% of what they said. The restaurant was clean and they did not let those annoying street vendors in, you know the ones selling light up roses or some robot toy etc. There are a lot of restaurants in the touristy areas that WILL let those guys in but many do not and this is one of them. So if you want to eat your meal in peace this would be one of them. For sure try it and you will experience this American favorite in a whole new light.

The waiters at first weren't that welcoming but I think it was because they couldn't really speak English as they spoke Italian and mandarin. However once we spoke to them in mandarin they were more than willing to converse and help us out. If you do speak in English they do have some waiters that are able to communicate some words to try and help you out. Traveling through Europe there aren't that many places where we could find vegetables so coming to get what we were craving was great. I would recommend the pan fried dumplings, the beef and vegetables and some other Chinese hot plates. I had my doubts in the beginning and wasn't really planning to come here but I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come again if I was ever in Rome and craving Chinese.

We had the vongole clams and coda alla vaccinara romana. The clam pasta was just OK - most of the clams were empty and the first pasta came out cold. They sent another pasta out and there were more clams in it but by that time I was halfway through my dish. The vaccinara was the star of the show. So tender and delicious. The sauce was rich and tasted like the meat had been slow simmered in it for hours. It is my favorite dish on this trip so far! PRO TIP: We arrived around 1:30 PM and waited outside in line for about 30 minutes before we were seated.

I've had many bad meals on my visits to italy and this is one of them. Now don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is fun watching the people stroll by. The wine was delicious, but the linguine seafood was not good at all. The pasta was over cooked. The sauce had very little flavor except salty. It just wasn't good. The service wasn't great but to be honest i felt it was the norm for many of these street side restaurants. I asked the family sitting next to me to rate the flavor of their meals and they gave it a 5 out of 10. My recommendation is keep looking.
