Good spot for grilled fish and veggies. We had salmon entree with grilled broccoli and butter cabbage Also had grilled haddock with broccoli and cauliflower sides. Everything was grilled nicely, seasoned well and had good flavor. We also had bean soup which is very good. Everything was healthy and tasty. Hidden gem on Keystone! I caller ahead and ordered a salmon salad supreme and was told my order would be ready within 20 minutes. Once I arrived, the masked employee handed me my food and informed me they have been operating with a reduced menu due to Covid, but most items including sandwiches, salads and soups are still available. The salad featured a huge piece of grilled salmon topped with diced grilled onions on top of a bed of lettuce, shredded cheese and onions. All for $10! Best salad in the city, in my opinion. What a delightful surprise! Although the place is small and it is difficult to pull in the tiny parking area located directly on 38th Street (just a few blocks east of the fairgrounds), it is well worth the effort the next time you are in the area. I grabbed the last spot and decided to get my order to go since I didn't want to keep other customers from finding a spot. (The lot is shared with other businesses too, so I hope they can find a more accessible spot someday!) The inside is clean and has a small dining room set up which seems like it is mainly a place for customers to wait while their order is being made. The menu is located on the back wall and there is a small counter with beverages next to the cash register. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and greeted me and was glad to let me browse the menu until I was ready. I decided to try the Grilled BBQ Salmon that is shredded, coated with honey and BBQ sauce and grilled with peppers. It comes served on a normal sized wheat bun. No sides come with it, but the price was under $6 and I felt like it was a bargain! Excellent flavors that didn't mask the grilled salmon taste. Although the menu board didn't have the current list of veggie options, I ended up with ordering a grilled broccoli with mult-colored bell peppers and a variety of seasonings. That was different from anything else I've had (and I've had a lot!) but it was all good. I would definitely recommend both the side and the sandwich. I also picked up a sweet tea which comes without ice. Not sure why it doesn't have any, but it was chilled and tasty without the ice. Note that this restaurant does have Muslim books and newspapers on display, much like a lot of Christian restaurants do. I didn't feel any awkwardness due to the store expressing its views quietly. No pressure or judgment was noticed. Good food that exceeded my expectations. Food takes about 10-15 minutes depending upon what you order and how busy they are. Limited parking so be prepared, also the lot is angled so it's a little funky driving into it but just find a spot and get the food in your belly is the most important lol The kids are involved and the mom is holding it down in the kitchen. The food is amazing. The salmon burger is all I have tried though I say I need to try more, i am just so fixated on the salmon burger. It is chard like a perfect grilled Patty. Comes with pickles, cheese, miracle whip, tomorrow and lettuce on a wheat bun. I don't like miracle whip but it compliments the sandwich so well. Now before I continue, they have a fish sausage burger and halibut sandwiches, all for under $8 ! It blows my mind. They also have salads, desserts and smoothies. I've had the smoothies which are to die for. I get the strawberry lemonade smoothie, on point! They don't have unhealthy sides like Mac n cheese or fries, they have veggies and they are all amazing. I've had their broccoli with peppers and cabbage. There is more o need to try and I plan on it because my meals here including a burger, a side and smoothie is around $13. This gem is my new favorite place! After being referred here 3x I finally decided to stop in. I am so glad that I did, I had the best salmon burger ever. The salmon was grilled and topped with fresh lettuce, tomato's, onions etc. What I liked most was that it was actual salmon, not a pre-made frozen patty. It was fresh and made to order. I love, love, love, love this gem!!! I was looking for a place on the Eastside where I could get me a good hearty, healthy salad. Boy did I get recommended the best place to go in the city. That Salomon salad is everything and so much more. I love Salomon but had never had it in a salad. Well I love it and I can't get enough of this salad. To the point they have other amazing things on the menu but I can't order it because I can't get enough of the Salomon salad. The service is professional and so nice, the cafe is very clean, and if you call in you don't wait it is always ready when you get there. I highly recommend this place!!! I was looking for a place close to my meeting location to get good, wholesome food at a reasonable price and this establishment came up on Yelp. It was a little crowded but not packed and the cashier was efficiently taking orders. I waited patiently for my food as did all of us. The Cafe suddenly got even busier and this delayed our orders. However the staff remained pleasant and there was adequate seating for all. My food was tasty and plentiful for the very reasonable price. I ordered the fish wrap w/o the cheese and enjoyed it. If you are looking for good food that is also very healthy...this is your place ! My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for many years. We do not eat pork and this restaurant serves nothing but fish and vegetarian meals. This is my father's favorite restaurant so he comes here very often. The last time I came here I ordered a strawberry cake, bean pie, and regular lemonade. My father's favorite is the fish hoagie which is a sandwich and the grilled veggies. The staff is very nice and the restaurant is always very clean. This is more of a carry out restaurant due to the size and a few tables. Will never eat there again! The lady who took mine and my fiancé's order was very rude and inpatient with us over the phone kept rushing us to get our order. I didn't really want to order after the way she spoke to us. She told us 20 minutes for the food to be ready got there in exactly 20 minutes and the food wasn't ready yet. When reviving the food it smelled of fish and being vegetarian this a big turn off for me. I ordered a grilled veggie wrap the whole wrap was dirty with black spots and looked like it was cooked on a dirty grill and when I went to eat the side of steamed cauliflower there were no utensils in the bag so the food got left in the car because we weren't going to be home for an hour and it never got eaten. After eating the food I was left with an upset stomach all night I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else who decides to eat here. read more

I had the fish sausage sandwich & I'm in noway a health nut in fact, I was enroute to a sign I saw around the corner that said you buy we fry since Chef Oyas Trap was closed. But I did read to Eat to Live by Elijah Muhammad a few years ago, & it was a fight to read since I had no experience with Islam, I just noticed black muslims are some of the most well rounded people I've come in contact with & the eating knowledge is revolutionary for even today's standards. But the eating once a day scared the daylights outta me, considering I love to eat. But I remember something about aliens and other planets that threw me off a lil, so I kinda checked out & don't remember much. But I did respect the eating aspect. It seemed like the girl at the register was hesitant about taking my order, & when I brought it to her attention she took my order. So I started with turmeric tea, she says we're not doing tea right now, I said ok, well let me get a coffee, we're not doing coffee either. I said ok, I'll take a cup of navy bean soup to go, she says, we don't have any navy bean soup. I laughed, she just starred at me like I'm asking for things not on the menu. I saw good reviews on the fish sausage so I ordered that and a whole bean pie (I always wanted to try 1 of those) & it took a while 15 min or so but the food was worth the wait. Probably the best burger I've tasted. And the bean pie, well I got it at about 1 PM & it's 9 PM & I have 2 slices left & I'm solo, so yeah it's on point! But anyways I got my food left a dollar in her jar and said thank you. She gave no you're welcome, no thank you or goodbye or nothing. I wonder if I had that Christianized pork stank on me or something, lol just kidding.
