I really wish I had done Ally and Lisa's plan to begin with, would have saved a lot of time, effort, and headache.

Bit the bullet and called back to try again to schedule an appointment as the quality of my life…read morehas been steadily degrading due to lack of quality sleep. Set an appointment for Thursday, August 22nd at 9:45 p.m. and arrived promptly at the door of the building at/around 9:42 p.m. The main glass double doors were locked but I found an intercom, found the number, then called. No response. Called again. No response. I started to get irritated when I saw a note from Advanced Sleep Services noting that the intercom was broken and I was to either call the technician or walk through the empty parking structure's second floor and take the elevator up to the 4th floor. The parking structure is dark and deserted and scary and seems like a place maybe bad people hide and jump out at you and is dimly lit and there are few/no cars and signs everywhere that say "NO OVERNIGHT PARKING." questions fill my head: is the intercom really broken? does NO ONE get into the building after hours? has it been broken so long and is so impossible to fix that they'd rather put up a sign outlining how to bypass the intercom than to actually get someone to fix it? wait, you want people to walk through an abandoned parking structure that prohibits cars from parking over night while you're staying overnight, just to be able to access the main building? okay, sounds super reasonable. after what seems like a scary eternity i find the elevator and make my way to the 4th floor where i am admitted after ringing a doorbell. a technician introduces herself, shows me my room for the night and gets me hooked up pretty quickly to the thousands of wires. she seems to know what she's doing and i feel a certain amount of competence and start to get more comfortable, like maybe, despite the so far terrible customer service, the janky entrance, maybe JUST MAYBE this will be legit. a few notes: this is not super comfortable. there are wires on my head, on my body, on my ankles. she goes back and forth because something's not reading correctly and must keep attaching new wires (i blame the wires and not her). finally i'm settled in and i'm told it's like a 2-step study where the first half i'm monitored without the sleep mask and the second half i'm monitored With the sleep mask. Fine. what's Not fine is that there is the loudest vacuuming EVER and it seems to be either in the adjacent suite or the adjacent lobby but it's vooming around and hitting the wall, at one point hitting my wall so hard the headboard shakes and i audibly state, "SHIT." i understand this place is only open after hours and that's when the cleaning happens, but i kinda wish maybe it was located in its own building or something so that janitorial services don't ruin everybody's sleep studies. As it is, i slept, awoke, had the nodes taken out, and weird gunks of vaseline-like substance in my hair, but now I await the results. Hoping hoping hoping they'll be more professional than the rest of my experience here.

Everyone I talked to was super kind, helpful, and would always get back to me in a timely way. I…read moregot my sleep test and they answered and questions I had!

Where to begin. We started out with a unique situation. Our son spent the first 6 months of his…read morelife literally sleeping ON me and never slept more than 3 hours at a time, until he started waking up every hour or more. We were both against sleep training and thought it was best to just push through this phase. But after weeks of waking up every hour and no end in sight, we were exhausted in every sense of the word and just not functioning well. Our son, who is literally usually the happiest baby alive, was a cranky emotional mess like his parents. Out of desperation, we hired a sleep consultant (not through Pam Neese) and had an absolutely HORRIFIC experience. I was so put off by sleep consultants. But then after another couple miserable sleepless weeks, my boyfriend found Pam Nease Sleep.  We worked with Sophie and I cannot speak highly enough of her. After a horrible first experience with a sleep consultant, she blew me away with her attentiveness, thoughtfulness and dedication to helping restore our family. She was with us every step of the way, answered all of my questions thoroughly and even helped with things I didn't think of. And contrary to what I originally thought, the phone calls were sooo valuable! I needed that support and reassurance. Now at first, I couldn't believe the price and thought there is NOOO way we are paying so much for a sleep consultant- ridiculous!! But let me tell you, you get what you pay for and the service they off at the level they offer it at is worth SO MUCH MORE! This is coming from someone who was totally against sleep training and thought the $300 I paid the other consultant was too much. Ha!  Sleep training was not easy- it was a Rollercoaster of emotions and bad nights. I hated it to be honest. But I would do it again (only with the help of Sophie though lol)! Because now our son sleeps through the night, takes long naps consistently and is back to being the happiest baby alive. (It turns out sleep training doesn't ruin your baby or your relationship with your baby!!) And as new parents, we are much happier and healthier, better rested, back to working out and spending more time together because now we have the energy. Moving forward, I know we have the tools for great sleep and so does our son. Priceless.  Pam and Sophie, I want to thank you both for helping my family. It is very obvious you are passionate about the work you do and helping struggling families like mine. We are forever grateful! My only regret was not finding you first.

I really thought my kids (2 and 6) were going to stump our sleep consultant, Jessica. We literally…read moretried every single trick in the book (co-sleeping, sitting, lullabies, CIO, even making the room freezing cold so they would stay in their beds) but my kids were still taking almost 2.5 hours to fall asleep very night after lots of threatening, screaming, and crying. We hesitated for 6 months because we didn't want to spend the money on something that wasn't guaranteed, but we finally gave in when nothing was getting better and I figured I could at least say that we tried everything (and maybe they'd return my money when they realized my kids were "lost causes" or the worst they'd ever seen? It was that bad...). Jessica was very friendly and understanding. She spent a lot of time asking questions about each child. Even she admitted that we had tried everything! I think some of the big tricks were setting our kids up for success even if it felt like we were doing the opposite (like moving the kids to sleep in separate rooms) and CONSISTENCY between both parents on the bedtime routine (from MOTN wake-ups to consequences). The biggest value to me was having Jessica there for specific questions at each phase of the sleep training process. You can read all the websites and books, but with no one there to answer your questions when your kid throws you a curve ball, you end up questioning/doubting yourself and, in our case, spouses may want to respond in different ways. Jessica was always flexible with us if we weren't comfortable doing something and was great with pivoting the plan to accommodate the progress of each kid. By the end, she really knew our kids and was as equally proud of them as we were! It took about 12 weeks but both of our kids sleep in their own rooms now and are quietly and willingly in bed by 8pm (just like in the movies!!!!!) I honestly never would have imagined how much my kids completely turned around like this! It is a LIFE CHANGER. I was having so much mom guilt and I literally DREADED bedtime every single night. Now the whole family knows what to expect for bedtime routine, my kids know how to fall asleep on their own (which is an important skill that they will have for the rest of their lives!), and they're overall happier kids with less meltdowns, outbursts, and midday crashes. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Pam Nease Sleep (and Jessica!) even if your kids aren't as bad as mine. Initially it felt bad/weird asking for this type of help because it's like admitting that we didn't know what we were doing and having to reveal all the wrong ways we were doings, but there was never even a judgmental tone from Jessica. She was so patient and kind and understanding through every step of the way. And there's nothing wrong with asking for help! Each child is different and teaching kids how to sleep is actually NOT innate or obvious, so if you're at your wit's end and about to lose your @*!@$@&@# like I was, I highly recommend hiring a sleep consultant and Pam Nease will not disappoint!
