*American reviewer* simple, no-nonsense hotel. Bed, washroom, maybe a TV if you get a double...that's it. Clean and sleek, with quite minimal rooms. If you want the frills, double tree is across the street. Otherwise, this suffices. Toilet/shower space is a bit small if you're a bigger person. You get what you pay for. If you're looking for luxury, this is not the place your you. If you're looking for a cheap bed for the night then it's right up your street. I needed a central place to sleep betwen having a night out and leaving Glasgow at 6am. This fits the bill. The room itself is basic - a box room with a toilet/shower pod. Windows are extra. Wifi is extra. A TV remote is extra. There was no way to control the room temperature either. The bed wasn't great, but also wasn't the worst one I've slept on. The room was facing Cambridge Street but there was no disturbances from outside. The toilet/shower was the smallest thing I've been in bathroom wise. You literally step away from the toilet and are right in the shower. The water from the shower does go everywhere, so plan your bathroom manouveres carefully. read more

I certainly wasn't feeling 'easy' like a Sunday morning after spending a night here thank you very much Mr.Richie! Bah. Due to an ongoing 'issue' (long story) we had the (dis)pleasure of experiencing Glasgow's very own easyHotel (with it's daft small 'e' and capital 'H' so it's like a flippin' Apple product or something) It wouldn't have normally been an option we would usually go for but at such short notice we had no choice. We didn't even manage to get a very cheap room which I thought was this hotels main schtick? We paid £69 for a double room which is more than we've had to pay in the past for places twice/three times the size as this room/cupboard. It was a depressing room and I had to laugh at the fact you pay more for a window! Even prison cells have windows man! Sheesh...it wasn't terrible enough to warrant a 1 star review as the staff were friendly enough (although initially they did give us the wrong room/key card) & there wasn't like a plague of cockroaches in our room or owt. For our money we got a very small room, basic (very high up) TV (remote control is an extra £2.50 so it's useless unless you pay that), a mad coathanger/hook thang & toilet/shower room that was reminiscent of an aeroplane toilet. The only storage is under the bed. If you want Wi-Fi you have to pay extra. Our bed wasn't particularly uncomfortable & luckily for me I don't mind just 1 (quite thin) pillow but our sheets were stained with some suspicious looking dark brown (blood?) substance right at the part where you pull the sheet to your face *shudder*, so we had to turn the sheet around. The tiny shower room & loo combined (s'nice) did make me feel as though I was about to take off but the shower itself was actually alright flow wise, annoying thing was the lack of space to manoeuvre without the shower curtain attacking you! Wah! You also have to make sure the door is properly shut as the steam apparently sets off the fire alarms. Rooms also don't have any air-con or temperature controls & you can't open the window so if you're cold/hot in the night you can't really do much about it. I had a pretty rubbish sleep thanks to a combination of feeling a bit icky about the stained sheets, feeling really hot/stuffed up due to lack of air & also the noise coming not only from within the hotel (doors banging,people shouting,etc...) but also the noise in the street from outside the hotel. Our window looked right onto Cambridge Street so traffic & people noise on this Friday night was pretty non-stop. Even with ear plugs in I could hear so much. If you want a cheap, comfortable, decent room for the night I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're a heavy sleeper & you like feeling a bit claustrophobic. I hope we never have to stay here again. I would MUCH rather stay in a Travelodge/Premier Inn or B&B than here if I needed somewhere reasonably priced to stay again. I stayed in Glasgow for work last week and decided to try the Easyhotel. I was arriving up there around 9pm and leaving for work at around 7.30am, so didn't see the point in paying the nearly £50 difference between this room (£29) and a less basic option of £85. As someone who can get lost walking in a straight line, I found this fairly easy to find. I did take one wrong turn but that is because I can't read maps. I'm sure other more practical people would find it very easy. The overall decor is in the familiar 'Easy' branding. The reception is spacious and I noticed a vending machine. For £29 I got a double bed, clean towels and a shower/toilet all in one room. You pay extra for the TV remote (£2.50), wifi, late checkout, cleaning (if staying more than 3 nights). Being a sociable person, I wasn't interested in paying for the remote as I decided to go out for a drink after a quick freshen up. Well, I say 'a' drink very loosely. That was the intention. However, I got back around 1am. So really for a total of about 6.5 hours use of the room, I had all I needed. I found the bed comfortable and I slept like a log. If I was staying for more than one night, I would probably consider other more conventional hotel options. But for one night when I knew I wouldn't be in the room for very long, it was absolutely fine and would quietly recommend it to other people. Having said that if I was going away for a weekend on a budget and there was an Easyhotel option, then I would seriously consider it. Might not be everyone's cup of tea and maybe I'm Easy-ily pleased (ba-boom!), but would come back here next time I stay in Glasgow. read more

There are so many jokes to be made about an establishment named 'the easy hotel' and even more so when it says EASY right above the bed. Decorated in Stelios' favoured garish orange and white, this hotel is boldly branded like easyjet's planes and whatever other areas they're venturing into these days. The bathroom is quite unusual, with its orange sink and shower over the floor - effectively it's a shower room, so don't expect a bath or shower curtain. It's not the cosiest of hotels, but it's basic, cheap and clean, so is fine if you need a bargain bed for the night, but it's not the place to be romancing, unless you wish to be branded as easy as the name suggests. read more

The orange word "Easy" in front of something like Jet, Car, etc means something is no-frills and does the job needed, nothing more nothing less, and for a reasonable price. This is exactly what EasyHotel is. A simple cheap room for the night - no frills, no extras, no mint on he pillow, and no free wifi. Anyone expecting more than this is not the hotel for you. This is meant for backpackers, stag dos, late night revellers who can't get a taxi home, and those who are just simply looking for somewhere to sleep for the night before having to get up early to travel. You have two options of rooms - one with a window, one without. The rooms are basically a box room with a queen sized bed in it and what appears to be a shower/toilet port-a-potty. And that's it. There is a tv, and wifi, but in true Easy style you have to pay for them if you want them (the friendly staff are on the reception desk 24 hours a day to help you it if you want any optional extras) The mattress is very firm, but not uncomfortable. Despite being beside a busy road there's very little road noise. The shower is strong and hot, however water goes everywhere in the port-a-potty thing, so you could shower while you sit on the toilet. read more

I booked a small double with window! stayed sat 22nd july 2017. reception staff were ok. I have ms, which means i cannot control my body temp the same as anyone else can. so you can imagine the look on my face when i saw (firstly the size of the room) secondly most importantly the window was in actual fact a sealed unit, yes this means unable to open at all!! the size of the cupboard i mean room, didn't dawn on me until we both tried to get ready to go out for the night, my husband had to sit on top of the toilet seat to let me get my clothes on & vice versa. oh the toilet seat wouldn't stay in the up position for males to do the toilet, i did find this funny to begin with, i'm sure there's been many men pee in the shower or sit down to pee as my husband did. No air conditioning on, had a dreadful nights sleep, well i didn't actually sleep i just baked myself till i saw daylight coming in the window i couldn't open! the room & me was above boiling point, really needed to get air left well before checking out time!! wanted & needed air easyhotel anything but easy ,we paid £63.59p for one night, really, really wish we'd gone to any other hotel- hilton only across the road, and we saw windows open!! Never ever, ever again will i step foot into one of easyHotel.com again. oh yes and for another £5 you can have a remote control that works the TV this is easyhotel.com extras?!?! i'd rather watch the blank screen than pay any amount for what should be standard supply!! oh not forgetting another £5/24hrs for the use of the wifi...( nope used my own wifi) or for a breakfast in your room, you could buy a cereal bar + small OJ for £4.95p NOOOOOO TY.. you are having a laugh!! To think you'd want to stay in one of the rooms to eat (bare in mind no air conditioner) is a total joke! Pretty good room for easyhotel standards. Well priced, big room, decent bathroom. However, the fact that wifi is not available for purchase is really odd. I've been able to buy wifi passes at every other easyhotel I've stayed at. If I knew there would not be any wifi accessibility, I would not have stayed here. I stayed here with my teenage daughter at half term. It does exactly what it says on the tin..... clean, comfortable, cheap. We had a twin room with en-suite loo and shower - it was like a little ships cabin, cosy and comfy and I was happy to pay the £2.50 for the TV remote - this was supposed to be a daily charge but they never asked for more money........... Staff were very friendly, kind and helpful and I would definitely stay here again if I was up for a short stay or on a budget. read more

We stayed at the hotel on Saturday after going to a gig in Glasgow. The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were lovely. I became unwell on the Sunday morning and the staff couldn't have been kinder, helping us to organise a doctor, etc. Many thanks for all your help and for being so understanding. It really meant a lot and helped us all to calm down a bit, as we were told not to worry, we wouldn't be getting booted out until I was ok to leave. Massive thanks. read more
