So, I'm giving this hotel 3 stars because it's not a bad hotel, and I would consider staying again... but... it wouldn't be my first choice. On the plus side, my 8th floor room has a view of the Clyde, and the selection of in-room coffees and teas and little cookies are nice. The tv has many channels included and the beds are fairly comfortable and have many pillows. I found that the bathroom is pretty bare-boned, though it has a towel heater rack thing which is great, but the floors are cold. It was also a bit tricky to get through to housekeeping, room service, and the front desk- but it did seem like it was a busy day. For a short visit, this room did the trick, and overall seemed to be worth the low(ish) rate. read more

And that was before one of their drunk guests pulled the fire alarm. The alarm sounded IN our room, tremendously loud at 4:00 AM. Then the pipes & plumbing from other rooms started squeaking and squawking in the early morn. Manager, if you'd only take care to put old couples on one wing, and your groups of partiers far from them on a far away floor. Also, an apology/refund is definitely in order here. The food in your restaurant was quite a bit higher priced than what we saw in the surrounding area so please stop false advertising. Your people behind the counter tried hard to inform us of the type of restaurant we were looking for but they had to google it. Really? They should know their community. Typical Jury's hotel however handily located near the shopping of Buchanan street. Whilst the back of the hotel overlooks central station there is minimal noise which was a pleasant surprise. Large rooms and comfy beds, ideal for the one or two nights business trips which most people would use these hotels for. read more

This is where my friends stay, after they have seen the state of my house and have committed to a week of seeing me. Down by the Clyde, it is not stuck in the loudest part of town, and comes somewhere between the bargain basement and a more classy joint. It does all the good hotel stuff- a breakfast to set you up for the day, room service, clean and uncluttered, without being excessive in price. It is also nice and close to the main part of town, but far enough down the road to miss the late night traffic. The bar area looks sociable- I pass it on my way home, so keep a look out your window for the pining romantic- and there seems to be lively conversation until the small hours. read more

This is the hotel I have to stay in when I am working in Glasgow. It's corporate policy and I cannot stay anywhere else. I wish I could. It's cold at night, noisy first thing in the morning and could do with a refresh. The three lifts are rammed with hundreds of coach tourists trying to get to Reception at the same time. If I am lucky I can avoid booking a breakfast-inclusive rate. The breakfast is inedible and I would rather go somewhere else. 2 stars because it's usually clean. read more

Me and the bf had stayed here previously and enjoyed it so we booked again for a gig we were attending at O2. The receptionist was helpful and we paid for the room there and then, but that's the only positive thing i have to say about it this time. The room was meant to be family size but it was just a standard double with hardly any room to move. We both had a horrible sleep due to the pillows being so thin and hard, in the morning the water pressure was awful on both the shower and sink (the sink also had no plug) for £70 it was a bit of a disgrace and we've had better rooms at premier inn/travel lodge. Yes i'm moaning a bit and i know it's only a bed for a night but they couldn't even get that right. Our room was also facing onto train tracks so after 6am it was pretty noisy and not good after having a few drinks. This hotel is only really good for things nearby like the o2, the station and a handful of pubs and clubs around. read more

This is the very best in budget hotels in the city. for not too many pennies, you can expect a nice clean room, with a (tiny) hairdryer, a kettle and a nice wee selection of tea, coffee and biscuits to welcome you. There's also a wee TV with a decent selection of channels, to browse whilst enjoying your complimentary refreshments. What I love most about hotels is morning time, and this one doesn't disappoint, with great showers and a fantastic breakfast spread. When you wander downstairs, refreshed from your comfy sleep and super shower, you'll be amazed at the breakfast bounty that awaits you. There's everything from cereal, coffee and croissants, to a full blown fried breakfast, plus fruit, yogurts and pastries if you've any room left. What makes it even better is that it's all buffet style, so you're welcome to help yourself to whatever you like, as much as you like, until you've had your fill. Wifi, airconditioning, lighting, all work great compared to some of the smaller hotels I've stayed at in Europe. The only issue was the shower curtain was a bit dingy and smelly (mold?) in room 619. Our stay here has been very nice, the hotel is right on the waters edge. The location gets pretty busy and loud in the morning but you are on the edge of downtown so you cannot be picky. Location, location, location! Glasgow is a chill city that is worth seeing. read more

We decided to stay at this place and we don't recommend this place at all. As this place doesn't meet the standards at all. Staff are not confident about what they are supposed to do. They just know pretty well they must charge your card and keep their manager happy :( Also they won't change your bed, probably till you check out of the inn. read more

My friends and I decided to get a couple of hotel rooms for some birthday celebrations, and the birthday girl's sister works in The Jury's Inn, so it made sense to go here. It took us ages to find the parking! We had to ring the reception who were very helpful and eventually, we got a space and unloaded our unnecessarily large bags from the car, complete with a carry out that could stock a small corner shop. The woman at reception was lovely, and didn't treat us like some places do when they see big groups of young people coming in. She spoke to us just as she would have to a couple who were staying for the weekend. We paid, she gave us our keys and that was that. We got two rooms, one of which had a double and two singles and the other a double and a single. They were very clean, spacious and well equipped, with all the usual tea and coffee stuff and a wee television. The bathroom was fine, our only concern being if the bath was big enough to keep all of our bottles and cans cold. We are a classy lot, as you may have gathered. They even let a few people who weren't staying up whilst we were getting ready for the night out, which i thought was pretty nice of them. We had a great night out and left the hotel at 11am the next morning, declining breakfast as the hangovers had well and truly kicked in. I would come back and stay again, as the rooms are inexpensive and lovely, great for a central location. read more

An affordable and well located quality hotel in the heart of Glasgow and a 10 minute walk from the station. A pleasant atmosphere and bar, and a fairly good choice at breakfast. the rooms are comfortable and clean. My only comment is that despite having a lovely corner room with a view of the river and Glasgow bridge my room was freezing cold. read more

I have stayed here a couple of times. It is well located and good value for money. The staff are very pleasant and always happy to help. I only have one niggle, which is around the bill. The last couple of times they have charged meals/bar to my room which has been incorrect. To be fair to them, they have dropped the charges when I have queried them- it just leaves a bit of a bad taste. Other than making sure you check the bill, I would recommend this hotel. It is very close to the station and Argyle St so a good place to base your self. Lots of places to eat and drink (including a Wethers) within a short walk so need to eat in the hotel. read more

I stayed here for work purposes last January 2008. I was here for almost a month and it was a great place to stay. It's ideal if you are using it for business and also nice for leisure. It's well located, close to the centre of town. The rooms are medium sized with internet available, although you do have to pay extra. The breakfasts are great, plenty of food including freshly cooked pancakes. The hotel has it's own restaurant which is reasonably priced offering nice food. Staff are friendly and helpful and are able to answer any queries you may have. read more

Got a gift of a voucher to stay in this hotel and was a bit disappointed to say the least. Saturday night and the resteraunt was closed due to various xmas parties being held there, plus the fact that Celtic were playing at home that day so the bar was full of football fans with too much drink in them. Room was adequate if a bit on the cold side and we couldnt get the air con to work correctly. Also a bit noisy in the corridors late at night, re football vans. The hotel and rooms are nice. I'm here with a tour group of 40+. There was one server to take and deliver our drink and then dinner orders. Poor guy was working hard. The restaurant was closed to others for the first hour. There were 2 gals bringing food to the bar. Stood chatting away right in front of us while we awaited a chance to order. The gals did bring out food for some bar orders. Seriously, the lack of allocated resources to our group is ridiculous. The rooms were sparse. We had to get a new key card daily. A service person came up to help, ran the card 3 times, and said yep doesn't work, then left. Not being Scottish or European, had no idea how to operate electricity. One night we had a front row seat to our neighbors how were VERY loud and used language that would make anyone blush. Great place to stay if you want an affordable, pleasant stay in the heart of the city. Even though we were on the 8th floor and the window view was of the street i saw the clyde in the distance! Lol Rooms are clean and their flatscreen tvs have freeview which is good. Though some might say the rooms are a tad smallish the bathroom sparkled clean and we were out most of the time anyway! And we managed to.find the place again no bother after shopping ad it's just.5mins away! Def come back, their room service is nice too if yoy get in late and fancy something to eat in your room.
