Now granted, that dry cleaners is eco-friendly and what they were charging was $40 a panel. $320 in the end? For curtains? No. While Scanlon's on Ulster Ave in Kingston, NY isn't organic, they came in at $15 a panel. Done deal. Scanlon's is what you would want from a cleaners: tidy, offers same day dry cleaning, ironing+laundry services and has a detail website highlighting other services such a leather and Ugg cleaning, wedding dress services, etc. Do ask about repair+mending services- if any. Hubs chose his shirts to be hung instead of boxed when he dropped off them off. Unlike other cleaners where you pay when you pick up your clothes, here, you have to pay(?) upfront when you drop off your clothes. Regardless, Chris and his team actually gave my linen curtains the care they deserve and hubs' shirts had a nice crisp to them. The turnaround time was great between dropping my curtains off and picking them up. Hassle-free, prompt and great pricing.

Overall, my clothes came out just fine in their relatively modern commercial machines. I spoke to a female staff member there with questions a couple of times and she was very helpful and polite. They also offer drop off laundry services. The parking lot is a bit small and spots are tight, but I still didn't have any problem finding parking in the middle of the day during the week. The crowd around there could be perceived as sketchy, but I didn't have a problem with anyone and kept to myself. I would go back if I needed to outsource my laundry needs again.

He'd do it on Mondays so we switched to Tuesday and guess what he was there Tuesday afternoon too. We ended up having to take our wet laundry to another laundromat because there wasn't a single one open . He'd take them as soon as they were emptied. At 99cents for 4 minutes it would cost you $15 an hour to dry clothes or $7.50 for 30 min. Though the dryers are large , after inserting the card 4 times to keep drying, I came home with more than 3/4 damp clothes to hang around the house near the pellet stove to dry. If I had known I would have skipped this rip off drying machine. Maybe the owner can be a little more generous? To put in almost $5. to dry and none was done on high setting is not ethical. I doubt if many local people will go there due to this extremely unfair price for drying clothes. I will go back to my favorite place in Kingston where it is 75 cents for a half hour and the dryer is so good you have leftover time to donate to someone else. So doing the math 75 cents compared to $7.50 a half hr. to dry clothes, makes you realize you are not saving on gas to go here, regardless of where your home location is.
