My friends and I were in the area and decided to stop by this bar. We sat at the bar and loved the vibe. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered a Hazy IPA, Paradise, and Baby Father. Baby Father wasn't really for me since it had mezcal and banana puree, but our server was kind enough to make me a different drink. I ended up getting Be That Easy, which I enjoyed.. I also thought it was cool that they were taking orders for fresh tamale, something I had never seen before. Overall, a great vibe, and quick service. read more

Easy Bar is the best! They have happy hour from 4-6 EVERY DAY! Half off all of their cocktails! They have a pool table, huge window, and perfect patio. You go to the bar to order until 6 and then the patio is serviced. Everyone was really nice and although it was busy, they were moving through the orders quickly. read more

Easy Bar - Lounges Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I've like playing pool here so far and enjoy the atmosphere. The bartenders are always nice and accommodating

Pretty cute bar, narrow but deep. They have a great liquor menu, including multiple bourbons including woodford, and dickle. I got a bourbon neat, and later an espresso martini. They also have a great happy hour which is until 6pm. Our bartender was nice, helpful. We got the pimento cheese and it came with little bread crackers. It was good. My partner got a rye dickle with a pbr. They have a special for a beer and a shot. Overall this place is cute, easy to talk there for the most part. read more

Neighborhood style bar with a pool table and full service bar. We popped in for a drink after dinner and were able to grab a table. Shortly after we got there, it started to get pretty full. Great place to grab a beer, maybe a generic glass of wine, but wouldn't recommend the cocktails. The cocktail menu really gives college campus, unfortunately. Definitely a good spot to hit before going out or just for a quick drink on the way home. They do have a large back room that could be rented for events, which looked really nice! read more

Love this bar! It's goes way back and has lots of space but still a neighborhood feel. They have a secondary bar in the back along with lots of tables as well as space on the floor. Music was good too! Would definitely come back read more

This is truly your bar next door--drinks only, no food, but a solid happy hour that draws a lively crowd. The large indoor bar area keeps things flowing, and the front patio offers outdoor seating. Tables fill fast, so grab one while you can! Now, the bathroom situation deserves its own paragraph. It's... unique. First, you enter a room with just the sink. Then, there's a second door inside that leads to the toilet. If someone else is navigating this layout too, it can feel weirdly intimate--like, do you linger by the sink or backtrack completely? It's a minor design hiccup but worth noting. All that said, it's a fun, no-nonsense spot to unwind, sip something refreshing, and catch up with friends without any pretentious frills. Cheers to a solid local hangout. read more

immediately walking in the vibe is completely off, i walked in with a group of 4, everyone working there was staring eerily- very off. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE GUY AT THE FRONT DOOR- horrible manners, bad attitude upon entry, and was just plain rude. The person that first greets you really sets the mood and this just made me and my friends feel very awkward and uncomfortable. We ended up just leaving because of the energy the bar was giving although we were originally excited to go there. Luckily there was another bar next door that was a lot more welcoming and nicer. read more

Bad, not good service and poor quality of drinks. Would not recommend to anyone unfortunately

I finally walked into Easy Bar for the first time recently. Food: N/A Drinks: It was Happy Hour and I tried The Paper Plane drink and it wasn't for me. I then tried The Peachy Keen which was more my style. Service: The Bartender, Jen was great! Thanks again! Atmosphere: It was good. I'll definitely return. Happy hour every day 4pm-6pm, 1/2 off everything? Can't beat that! read more

Great bar! One of the best happy hours in Chicago and one of the only places with a Sat afternoon happy hour.

This is one of the few spots in Wicker that will be open for happy hour starting at 4pm! Most HH spots in the area don't start until 5 or 6pm which gives this spot an advantage. Their HH is 4-6pm and is 50% off everything, making the drinks CHEAP. This bar is divey and the space goes pretty far back! Service was quick and outside of HH they also have other specials listed. Would return again if I need a quick and early HH spot! read more

I had the worst experience here. The crowd was horrible. Drink was overpriced. Vibe off. Would never come back, especially considering there are tons of cool bars nearby. So disappointed :( read more

This place gives casual speakeasy ... a great place for a cocktail. But what you should really know is their HAPPY HOUR which is daily!! We came in on a Saturday during a day crawl and got drinks for 50% off. That is a steal deal. My Aperol spritz was perfect and only $6. Highly recommend coming here for a drink or two. The staff was very kind. My partner lost his wallet and everyone started looking for it. We did end up finding it ! read more

The place it's unique but unfortunately as my first time there didn't had a nice experience at least for happy hour. The bartender Sean was not polite and was kinda rude. When I asked him information about the cocktails since I didn't had a menu to figure it out what's the options for the happy hour felt that I was bothering him and he answer in a pissed way which made the situation awkward. The cocktails were average and not good.Don't think that I'll get back there. read more

This is a decent place to be , the music could've been better but it's a nice spot to have a drink and relax.

My favorite bar!! The bartender Jen is just amazing, we always have the best time here!!! Definitely recommend!!!!

What can I say! Had the best time here, Jen the bartender was so warm and welcoming and we had the best laugh with her! We are on vacation and she made us feel right at home! Her cockatils are TOP CLASS! Can't wait to come back again to see her! read more

Hole in the wall place. Need one in every neighborhood. No judgment here. Come in a suit. Come in sweats. Come happy or sad. Great alcohol selection and friendly service. Glad it's within walking distance so I can stumble home if late at night read more

Recently rented out the back room of Easy Bar for a birthday party and had an excellent experience. The staff was fantastic, drinks were great, and everything was setup for us before we even got there. Highly recommend for a group of 35-60 people. read more

A friend was able to snag reservations on a busy Saturday evening. They gave us a couple tables in the back for a group of about 10. The back is also open to dancing and the music most of the evening was great. Drinks are pretty tasty and the ambiance is nice too. Overall can't complain for what it is. Not sure if they serve food but we didn't see any. read more

Really laid back bar. Margaritas were decent and staff is friendly. Be careful though, they upped my tip from 20% to 50% and I only realized because I got a notification from my bank. Don't get me wrong they're cool people but could've given me a heads up! read more

The most disappointing news of all time, that Easy Bar is no longer Dog friendly! From what we were told, one group of patrons complained about dogs being in the bar causing zero disturbance, so sad they ruined it for all the good boys and gals in the neighborhood! I'm sure our four legged friend is one of many to be heartbroken by this decision, truly too bad one group can ruin it for everyone! read more

Best bar in Chicago, hands down. Their staff is so nice and they always go the extra mile. Happy Hour rocks. Music rocks. Being Chicago's Premier Dino Bar rocks. Being a dog bar rocks. There is always a diverse crowd and people from different walks of life. Only thing I would change is NOTHING! FREE THE DOGS! read more

I came here on a Monday night for a yoga event, yes a yoga event. When I walked in around 6 pm there was a handful of people at the bar. The Christmas lights around the bar made me feel like this was my place. Anything with Christmas lights (especially year round) seems like my place. This is December so I'm not sure if that's the year round decor. After yoga I had a cocktail (Paper Plane) and it was pretty darn delicious! The bar tender was super nice too. I don't know why I've never been here before! read more

My friend asked if a dog could be addressed due to the excessive barking. Instead of being met with compassion and understanding, they decided to call the police on her. Even after, the owner of the dog threatened her. This was blatant racism. I will never attend this establishment myself, due to the treatment of my friend. And will also tell others to not spend their money or time here as well. read more

Love the ambiance! We decided to pop by while we were waiting for a table to be ready at Sushi Taku. Drinks were great but the music was a little too loud. It was okay because we were able to snag a table so it made having a conversation a lot easier we enjoyed our time a lot! Only one thing I would suggest is having some sort of limitations on the pool table because there was a customer who hogged the pool table even when it was VERY apparent that they were playing. When I asked, he said he was waiting for a friend but table was still empty. read more

Best bar in Chicago! The bar tenders make you feel right at home and serve up the best cocktails around. They have killer happy hour deals and are great for booked events too. We are big old fashioned fans and theirs is one of the best! They have a very fun Dirty Shirley featured this summer which we love too! 11/10 recommend for drinks in Wicker Park. read more

Easy Bar - a neon sign hanging from the side of a building - Lounges Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

The most amazing jukebox in the city besides AliveOne! Sometimes when I'm waiting for the restroom, gazing longingly at the Juke, guys inevitably ask me if I'm waiting to use the restroom. I should allow skipsies for a jukebox dollar. I'd totally bust a kidney in favor of plugging the juke! I love the jungle fans and the huge lampshades in the bar seating area and the long snakey seating areas for a more intimate vibe in the back. The bartenders are super cool and friendly, and service is quick. This really is one of my favorite hangs in the City, so why only 4 Stars? It gets insanely packed on Saturday nights. Which would normally be fine, hey, I love bumping elbows with lovelies on a Saturday night. But the owners habitually rent out the entire back area as well, closing half the bar when they should be doubling the size! Which leads to crowding around the keg (bar) or standing near the drafty entrance and getting the occasional pool cue jab to the 'nads. But who am I kidding? I'll totally be back, possibly next Saturday! read more

I ordered a cocktail that said " diplomatic rum" and we asked to see the bottle, all I actually wanted to know if it was Venezuelan rum and... It was!!! Will definitely recommend for locals!! And will come again!! read more

Easy Bar - Drink with diplomatic rum - Lounges Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Overall: Typical yet wholesome, Easy Bar is a surprisingly fun hangout spot. The good: Tons of space, especially for the private party I went to. They had the entire back portion of the bar split off (separate bar as well), but regardless there was still a lot of space. There was even a private "doorman" for the party (granted, I have no idea how much, if any, this stuff cost). The ambiance is fine and there was plenty of seating and standing room alike. The bartenders were attentive and the music selection was good throughout the night. The not-so-good: While the selection was good, the music was a little too loud. It was hard to have conversations a lot of the night. read more

Came in here on a Wednesday evening to pass the time before our dinner reservation. It was pretty empty but we appreciated the ambience (a real fireplace!) and the drink prices weren't outrageous. The lighting is dark but inviting and service is fantastic. We will be coming back here a lot more in the future! read more

I absolutely love to hangout at this place, it had a classy looking bar with reasonable priced drinks. The bartenders are very friendly & respectful. It has only one pool table and a giant jenga at the backside. The backside looks like a speak easy bar lounge and a perfecto place to have fun with friends. I have been there on a bar crawl with MeetPeopleChicago, definitely worth checking out the place if you are in the neighborhood. read more

Had a great back room party to kick off a wedding weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful (found some lost items which we retrieved the next day) and bar staff in particular were also helpful, attentive and speedy. Had fun with the photo booth (pricey, but that didn't stop us). Thought the atmosphere and seating worked really well for our party too. read more

Easy Bar is one of the best places to drink in Chicago, and really that's all you need to know. But you should also know about the crazy-good 5-7 happy hour every weekday, where everything on the menu is half off. And you should know about Tuesday nights, when top shelf beers on draft, in bottles, and in cans are either $2 or, if you're feeling like a big spender, $3. And you should probably know that every other time of the week has a pretty inviting special as well. But you don't *have* to know these things, because everyone on the staff is super nice and attentive, the ambiance is exactly what you want from a Division Street non-sportsy bar, and the sidewalk patio is the perfect place to kick back with a balanced Manhattan, a fine beer, or one of their excellent specialty cocktails. If you don't really get into the bar scene, the things that make this place special probably will be lost on you, and it might seem like any other bar. But for people who really know Chicago bars, visiting Easy regularly is an easy choice. read more
