Baby Father wasn't really for me since it had mezcal and banana puree, but our server was kind enough to make me a different drink. I ended up getting Be That Easy, which I enjoyed.. Pretty cute bar, narrow but deep. They have a great liquor menu, including multiple bourbons including woodford, and dickle. I got a bourbon neat, and later an espresso martini. They also have a great happy hour which is until 6pm. Our bartender was nice, helpful. We got the pimento cheese and it came with little bread crackers. It was good. My partner got a rye dickle with a pbr. They have a special for a beer and a shot. Overall this place is cute, easy to talk there for the most part. read more

Neighborhood style bar with a pool table and full service bar. We popped in for a drink after dinner and were able to grab a table. Shortly after we got there, it started to get pretty full. Great place to grab a beer, maybe a generic glass of wine, but wouldn't recommend the cocktails. The cocktail menu really gives college campus, unfortunately. I finally walked into Easy Bar for the first time recently. Food: N/A Drinks: It was Happy Hour and I tried The Paper Plane drink and it wasn't for me. This is one of the few spots in Wicker that will be open for happy hour starting at 4pm! Most HH spots in the area don't start until 5 or 6pm which gives this spot an advantage. Their HH is 4-6pm and is 50% off everything, making the drinks CHEAP. This bar is divey and the space goes pretty far back! Service was quick and outside of HH they also have other specials listed. This place gives casual speakeasy ... a great place for a cocktail. But what you should really know is their HAPPY HOUR which is daily!! We came in on a Saturday during a day crawl and got drinks for 50% off. That is a steal deal. My Aperol spritz was perfect and only $6. Highly recommend coming here for a drink or two. The place it's unique but unfortunately as my first time there didn't had a nice experience at least for happy hour. The bartender Sean was not polite and was kinda rude. When I asked him information about the cocktails since I didn't had a menu to figure it out what's the options for the happy hour felt that I was bothering him and he answer in a pissed way which made the situation awkward. The most disappointing news of all time, that Easy Bar is no longer Dog friendly! From what we were told, one group of patrons complained about dogs being in the bar causing zero disturbance, so sad they ruined it for all the good boys and gals in the neighborhood! A friend was able to snag reservations on a busy Saturday evening. They gave us a couple tables in the back for a group of about 10. The back is also open to dancing and the music most of the evening was great. Drinks are pretty tasty and the ambiance is nice too. Overall can't complain for what it is. My friend asked if a dog could be addressed due to the excessive barking. Instead of being met with compassion and understanding, they decided to call the police on her. Even after, the owner of the dog threatened her. This was blatant racism. I will never attend this establishment myself, due to the treatment of my friend. I came here on a Monday night for a yoga event, yes a yoga event. When I walked in around 6 pm there was a handful of people at the bar. The Christmas lights around the bar made me feel like this was my place. Anything with Christmas lights (especially year round) seems like my place. This is December so I'm not sure if that's the year round decor. After yoga I had a cocktail (Paper Plane) and it was pretty darn delicious! The bar tender was super nice too. Love the ambiance! We decided to pop by while we were waiting for a table to be ready at Sushi Taku. Drinks were great but the music was a little too loud. It was okay because we were able to snag a table so it made having a conversation a lot easier we enjoyed our time a lot! Only one thing I would suggest is having some sort of limitations on the pool table because there was a customer who hogged the pool table even when it was VERY apparent that they were playing. The most amazing jukebox in the city besides AliveOne! Sometimes when I'm waiting for the restroom, gazing longingly at the Juke, guys inevitably ask me if I'm waiting to use the restroom. I should allow skipsies for a jukebox dollar. I'd totally bust a kidney in favor of plugging the juke! I love the jungle fans and the huge lampshades in the bar seating area and the long snakey seating areas for a more intimate vibe in the back. The bartenders are super cool and friendly, and service is quick. This really is one of my favorite hangs in the City, so why only 4 Stars? It gets insanely packed on Saturday nights. Which would normally be fine, hey, I love bumping elbows with lovelies on a Saturday night. But the owners habitually rent out the entire back area as well, closing half the bar when they should be doubling the size! Which leads to crowding around the keg (bar) or standing near the drafty entrance and getting the occasional pool cue jab to the 'nads. But who am I kidding? Overall: Typical yet wholesome, Easy Bar is a surprisingly fun hangout spot. The good: Tons of space, especially for the private party I went to. They had the entire back portion of the bar split off (separate bar as well), but regardless there was still a lot of space. There was even a private "doorman" for the party (granted, I have no idea how much, if any, this stuff cost). The ambiance is fine and there was plenty of seating and standing room alike. The bartenders were attentive and the music selection was good throughout the night. The not-so-good: While the selection was good, the music was a little too loud. Easy Bar is one of the best places to drink in Chicago, and really that's all you need to know. But you should also know about the crazy-good 5-7 happy hour every weekday, where everything on the menu is half off. And you should know about Tuesday nights, when top shelf beers on draft, in bottles, and in cans are either $2 or, if you're feeling like a big spender, $3. And you should probably know that every other time of the week has a pretty inviting special as well. But you don't *have* to know these things, because everyone on the staff is super nice and attentive, the ambiance is exactly what you want from a Division Street non-sportsy bar, and the sidewalk patio is the perfect place to kick back with a balanced Manhattan, a fine beer, or one of their excellent specialty cocktails. If you don't really get into the bar scene, the things that make this place special probably will be lost on you, and it might seem like any other bar. Easy Bar gets my Greyhound seal of approval. I work in public accounting; from April 1 until the 15th the level of stress and tension in the office increases exponentially. Seriously, the place is like a freaking tinder box. That day, when I ambled into Easy Bar for a Flatmate Meetup event, work was particularly unbearable and I was in desperate need of a drink. For $5 the bartender made me one fine Greyhound. Plenty of vodka and real grapefruit juice, not that fake crap. I was so excited to drink it I got a bit overzealous and spilled a good portion of my first drink down my shirt! A damp shirt and a few napkins later I was chatting away with fellow Meetup-ers. Easy Bar has food too, but I figured after my drink incident I'd save eating for the privacy of my home; afterall I didn't want any potential flatmates thinking I was a complete social disaster The space was cool, I liked the red tones in the bar. There's a pool table up front and from what I could tell a loungey area in back; I stayed close to the bar for fear of running out of my grapefruity goodness. Bottom line: Easy Bar gets 3.5 stars from me; I went on a weeknight where the vibe was really laid back. I'm betting the weekend crowd isn't my scene, but for a mid-week drink this place suits me just fine. read more

I chose Easy Bar as the location to celebrate my 23rd birthday because I didn't want to celebrate my birthday at some place super casual, but I didn't want to lose my hearing going to a club. Upon arrival, there were 3 white girls haphazardly dancing between the bar and the table. ...Aww yeah, it's going to be that kind of night! I don't know what exactly I drank because people were buying birthday drinks for me. Four Horsemen, shots of Jack and some beer. I like the atmosphere and the furry wall! It's a chill spot and I can definitely see a correlation between Easy Bar and Estelle's. I've always liked Estelle's because there's no pressure to fit into a crowd. Same here at Easy Bar.
