16oz Açaí Zero with Cupuacu, bananas, goji berries, honey, granola
    Maya C.

This is the first place I've found that offers a zero sugar Acai. I mean, sure I could have made one at home if I searched around for the ingredients in stores but I was not feeling that at the moment. So I decided to get a 16oz bowl with Acai Zero and Cupuacu. Yeah, I had no idea what that was so I googled it. All I needed to know was that it was from a tropical rainforest tree related to the cacao. Sold! I added bananas, granola, goji berries, and honey for the right amount of sweetness. The delivery app had a BOGO deal on the Coxinhas (also didn't know what this was so this was googled as well: Brazilian pastries with shredded chicken in them) so I got these as well. The bowl is actually a cup which is fine. The Cupuacu I likened to something creamy and milky but it was actually pretty tasty. As a whole it was delicious. The Coxinhas were bagged with the cup/bowl and were still pretty warm after the 20 min trip to my house. Opening up the bag this delicious scent hits you in the face. These bite-sized morsels are so good. Definitely had a good experience and glad I was able to try them out.

1000 stars!!…read more Absolutely amazing every single time!! Now, they have the cutest desserts in jars too. Food is always great Staff is lovely and helpful Great menu Clean restrooms (important) Plenty of parking!!!

I've been to Salento twice now, so I feel like I got a good sense of what they have to offer…read more I started with the carne empanadas, which came with complimentary chimichurri and hot sauce. They were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and filled with flavorful meat. The sauces paired perfectly with them and made an already great appetizer even better. For my entrée, I ordered the Bandeja Paisa, and it did not disappoint. The meats were the star of the plate. Everything was juicy, cooked perfectly, and seasoned just enough without being overpowering. The steak was surprisingly tender despite being well done, with just the right amount of fat. The sausage had a great snap, the egg was perfectly jammy, and the chicharrón was absolutely incredible--crispy, crunchy, and easily one of the best I've had. I didn't try the sweet plantains since I'm not a fan and they couldn't be substituted. The arepa was good, although nothing particularly memorable. The only parts of the meal I wasn't impressed with were the rice, which was a bit too salty for my taste, and the beans, which lacked flavor and were underwhelming. For dessert, I tried both the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. The tiramisu was just okay--it wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out, and I wouldn't order it again. The chocolate cake, however, was outstanding. It was incredibly moist, rich without being overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Salento does an amazing job with their meats, and that's what I'd recommend most. While a couple of the sides and one dessert didn't quite hit the mark for me, the empanadas, Bandeja Paisa, chicharrón, and chocolate cake were all excellent. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The environment is pretty nice and quiet.
