Second time eating here . First time on a packed Saturday night with a band show I was emceeing . Service was great ! Staff super friendly and the smash burger was huge and delicious . Second time today was mid afternoon , sat at the bar and once again had a great smash burger , great service and super friendly staff . The beers are ice cold and everything is reasonably priced . I travel through here in the summertime on my way to GIlford for concerts and will make this place one of my go to stops to eat . Pulling out on the road continuing burn outs up the street both directions. Motorcycles reving up and down the street multiple times after town ordnances. Will never be back. read more

Food is mediocre, the pub chips come with gravy that is served luke warm, the fat boy pizza is decent but not out of this world, we also got the chicken tenders and they were very dark and flavorless. There's never enough staff working, especially on a busy night. Good luck having getting someone to come to your table to take your order. My fiancé and I stopped by after attending an open house in the area. I'd been wanting to check out Eastside since I was excited they have pool tables. (We sat at the bar and the bartender told us that they were going to get rid of the tables soon and repurpose the room *sadface*). We grabbed the chicken tenders to start (delicious and not overly battered), he got the sausage sub since the bartender said they sausages are made in house, and I got the smash burger. Smashburgers have been on my to-try list for so long, but this one was a bit disappointing. All the videos I see are of thin patties being smashed into deliciously grilled onions, but this was just two, thinnish patties. No crispy edges or grilled onions. It looked like a fun venue since they host dancing and ladies nights, but I'm sad to hear that the pool tables are going away and the burger did not live up to my dreams. read more

Finally checked out the new Busters/East Side. Nice amount of outdoor seating. Also large bar/casual eating area although very bright. We ate in the pool room. The food was tasty, big portions. Nothing fancy but cooked well. We had the meatball which was delish, tasty pork schnitzel and Buffalo chicken Mac. The bread on the side of the dishes was tasteless, more like a garnish. Food is overcooked. I have been 6 times in as many months. I know they are new and understand they are trying to do their best but.... I have taken a couple bites and told the waitress or bartenders I couldn't eat it. I was given $5.00 off. I have ordered different items off the menu each time. And was seriously disappointed everytime. I never asked to be comped or a discount, I told the server why I couldn't eat it. Nothing changes On another note. The owner loves to have benefits for worthy causes and great bands that have a following and that is awesome. But if you don't have the staff to take care of the crowd, complete fail. I have been there for a number of events. Waitress goes MIA, one bartender who is clearly overwhelmed and I am seeing the owner chatting and all smiles while his staff is sinking is so disrespectful. Get behind the bar and help the "help". I wanted this to be my "go to" place for great food, drinks and entertainment. But I guess I will just stay home. And not for nothing the owner Steve cannot take constructive criticism and lashes out. Also very unprofessional. Wish you the best Steve but would not recommend for a night out or catering event. Went to Eastside Tavern on Sunday July 19th just after the end of the World Cup game. There were a few people there, I get it it's a Sunday evening. Found a table with no problem; eventually ordered drinks & when they arrived we placed our food order (burger & a pizza). 40 minutes later; no food & other parties that came in after us had already gotten their food. Waitress was nice enough; said coming right up. Now almost an hour, no food. We asked for the check, minus the food & before you know it the bartender comes out with our food. We said no thanks but they offered 50% off the bill so we decided to take it to go as we live less than 10 minutes down the road. We get home, I open my pizza & it's burnt. The burger was ok. I'm a retired professor with kids in the area, and I'm always on the lookout for friendly social venues. The evening began well enough, with good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and some engaging conversations with a doctor/nurse couple who love to dance, a former Marine, and several talented line dancers I complimented on their footwork. That's where things took an unexpected turn. Earlier, I had briefly high-fived a birthday girl wearing a birthday crown. Her group seemed quite cheerful, except for one scowling man beside her. Later in the night, the same man started gesturing that he was "watching me," clearly misunderstanding my intentions. Having spent 23 years in Tokyo, where a bit of friendliness usually smooths things over, I approached him and complimented him politely on his cap. Instead of relaxing, he challenged me to a fight outside. When I asked why, he accused me of "hitting on" some of the women in the birthday group, presumably the same ones sitting across the table from me whom I had complimented on their line-dancing footwork. He then stood up and moved as if to strike me. I told him calmly that if he did, I would call the police. (It reminded me of an incident years ago in Tokyo when Mark Hunt, early in his MMA career, threatened me after he and his friends got too handsy with two of my companions. His friends hit me, I called the police, and Hunt later shook my hand and apologized. But that is another story.) At this point, the manager came over and asked me to leave. When I asked why, she said some women "felt uncomfortable." I asked what exactly had been said that made them uncomfortable, but she could not say. It became increasingly clear from that point on that she and the bouncer were buddies with the birthday group. As I was leaving, so was the birthday group, and suddenly the scowling man charged at me and hit me. I called the police, as promised. The bouncer, who had seen everything, claimed he hadn't seen a thing. When I moved toward the road to get the attacker's license plate, the bouncer physically moved around to block me. Fortunately, there are security cameras pointed at the scene, and there were other witnesses. Unfortunately, management has been unable or unwilling to provide the police with the footage. The police suggest a subpoena may be necessary. While their salad was quite good, the hospitality left something to be desired. Until management learns how to handle aggression and to stop protecting assailants, I would recommend other nearby spots like Scenic Lounge or Revolutions. These places serve good food, and their staff will likely not side with those who throw punches. read more

I tried Eastside when they first opened for a paint night and it was so much fun! The food & drinks were good and the atmosphere was nice! I just went again last night and let me tell you..!! They updated the menu and the food was amazing, I definitely recommend the cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks & the wings! All were so good, I can't get enough of the pizza. The server absolutely killed it, I wish I could remember her name. It was absolutely packed last night and she was on top of it, she killed it! Definitely will be back again! read more

We came at 10:01pm we ordered a round of drinks...our first round of drinks of the night. The (first) bartender was super friendly super nice! We tried to get on the waitlist for pool table and they said they weren't doing pool for the rest of the night and that they sold their last pool table even though they closed in two hours so we were confused by that when we watched multiple people leave pool tables and they were six empty pool tables that we could've had within the five minutes that we had gotten there, but they had already shut down pool, which doesn't make any sense. At 10:38 pm we asked for a shot. They said no because they weren't doing shots anymore and I said oh why not they said because we don't do shots an hour before they close... I said oh don't you close at 12 they said yeah I said so we have more time to order shots and they said the manager said she said no more shots and I said well you said an hour before and they denied us all shots. Makes no sense. I am also a bartender and would love the extra tip on a table of pool and shots instead of denying everybody within an unreasonable time limit and they can make up a time limit as they go? Worst service I've ever experienced. I wanted to like it. I bet the food on a slow day is pretty decent. But two hours to get dry mediocre food is unacceptable. No apologies. No management to come over to explain why. Went to the bar to get a drink because a waitress was nowhere to be found. Bar refused to serve me. Said I had to get it from waitress. When I tried to explain I had waited 25 minutes and we hadn't seen anyone I was still refused a drink. Huge attitude from bar. Later I tried again to get a drink from the bar because in 3 hours I saw my waitress 4 times and two of those times I went and found her, waitress spotted me at the bar trying to get a drink and tells me " go back to your fucking table". I still tipped 20% because I am a bartender myself and cannot not tip. Trust me I wish I would have left none but I can't do it. The food was not her fault but the shitty service. Piss poor attitude was. One person in our party does not drink and waitress refused to take his order for one hour for food and it took another 1.5 hours to get food. We were there to see a band so that's why we didn't leave but we won't be returning. The one other time before this we went to this place we were double charged. This morning was my first time eating here, my mom's second- though also her first for breakfast. We were greeted immediately as soon as we walked in, and the whole staff was super friendly and welcoming. I had the cheese ball omelette with an English muffin and a cup of coffee, and my mom chose a pancake with a side of bacon and coffee. My only complaint about anything was that the food could have been a LITTLE hotter, but everything was delicious and that was certainly not a big issue for us. Service was fast and friendly and prices were entirely reasonable. We will definitely be back! read more

Went for lunch with wife and friends. Chicken tenders were good, single patty smash burgers were very good, and the pub fries were absolutely delicious. Draft beers were cold and pricing reasonable. Waitress was awesome. Very personable and had a good sense of humor. Restaurant is very clean and comfortable. Plenty of TV's to watch the "March Madness" games. After reading some of the poor reviews for this place we were a little hesitant to visit, but Eastside turned out to be a solid choice for pub food and drinks in the Rochester area. 3rd visit, 1st time, pizza, bottom of crust way under cooked. 2nd visit, chicken parm, picture on the website showed a nice thin scollopini style style the way it should be. Mine came out with 2 oversized chicken thumbs, no cheese! Asked the cook what happened she said, no chicken fillets but she could pound out some chix fingers. Order came out with some small chicken pieces, once again, no cheese. Went last night and was told no more chicken fillets. Ordered steak tips, medium rare, the plate came out with with some some quarter size pieces VERY well done! Nice bar, pool room, atmosphere and staff.
