Though most people don't ever hope for a divorce, those who go through them hope for a good one…read more And one way to have a good one is of course to have a great lawyer, but perhaps also to think about the process as a way to come to mutual agreements about moving forward, as opposed to a battle of separate interests. For those who lean toward the former approach, Adrienne Keith is a fantastic resource, not only as a lawyer but as a calm, steady person. She works in Collaborative Law as well as mediation, and is active not only in volunteering but also in writing an insightful, funny, sensitive blog about divorce and family law-related topics (http://splitsvillenews.com/). While I didn't technically utilize Collaborative Law (she provides legal divorce services other than just that process), Adrienne was so helpful in carefully walking me through each step of the process, always calm, professional yet warm, and perfectly prepared. I truly appreciated her attitude of non-combativeness and of working to find mutual solutions to sticky issues. Should you find yourself or know someone who's in the situation of needing representation through a divorce or family law issue, do yourself a favor and get in touch with her. Plus, on the way out of the courthouse she handed me a really thick envelope....When I got home, I opened it. A lovely bar, of bittersweet chocolate. What more can a girl want when she gets her old name back?

I decided to give her a call and we set up an appointment, lucky for me that she happened to be in the office because she is usually in court representing her clients. I just read some reviews and I'm not sure why the one negative review because she treated me well. Chi is good at what she does and that is she represented me as a client in court, I didn't even have to be there. While speaking with her on the phone, I decided to retain her as an attorney on my case as she sounded professional and knowledgeable. I brought everything that she asked, looked them over and she told me everything up front---the costs and what to expect of the outcome. She is prompt and courteous and she did everything that she said that she would do. She always replied to my phone calls and text---depending on which we had agreed to and set up. She would let me know ahead of time if there were changes or anything else that would be involved. With Chi, everything was up front. She got my ticket dismissed and also refunded me like 90% of the fees that were refundable ( I think that it had something to do with administrative cost. I feel that Chi is an excellent attorney and with her you will know what to expect and what to expect of her. She is honest and did me a great service. And to the one star, no one asked me to write this and it isn't a fake.

I am thoroughly disgusted with Attorney Chi Nguyen's lack of professionalism and communication…read more I found her through Yelp in July 2025 with glowing reviews. After a July 4th consultation, I hired her to handle my parenting plan matter (not my protection order, though she gave advice on that too). What followed was one of the worst professional experiences I've ever had. Here are the main issues: Never in court - She never once appeared in person, only via Zoom. We paid her the same as anyone else, yet she didn't show up physically. Unprofessional appearance - On Zoom, she dressed in casual T-shirts, not courtroom-appropriate attire. Paralegal overseas - The paralegal assigned to our case (Bernard) was working permanently out of the country. This made direct communication about our case nearly impossible. Bad legal advice & dishonesty - She advised my child to drop a protection order to "help" with a 50/50 parenting plan, then denied ever giving that advice in court. This damaged our case. Unprepared in court - Judges were visibly frustrated with her lack of preparation and awareness of required next steps. Communication failures - She ignored the client portal (where we receive notifications) and instead sent critical updates by regular email, which caused us to miss deadlines and hearings. Documents were submitted incorrectly and late, resulting in continuances, sanctions, and extra costs we had to pay ($700). Recent failure - For a GAL hearing, financial documents we sent in late August were submitted at the last minute. She failed to consult us on which GAL we preferred, leaving us blindsided in court. We left court feeling defeated every single time. Yesterday's hearing was the final straw--we fired her immediately. Hiring an attorney is stressful enough; you need someone professional, prepared, and communicative. Chi Nguyen was none of these. Do not hire her. I only gave 1 star because Yelp wouldn't let me submit my review without doing it.

They've helped me not just once--but TWICE--through highly complex family law matters involving child custody. Their balance of patience and strategy is key. They take the time to listen--really listen--and that made a huge difference in my case. Their guidance is thoughtful, calculated, and they give advice from their real experiences. If they give you advice, take it--they know what they're doing. One thing that meant a lot to me personally is how they treated me. I never felt like a client--I felt like a friend even like I was part of their family. That level of care, trust, and genuine support is rare, and it makes all the difference when you're going through something as stressful as a family law case. When I first reached out to them a few years ago, I did not know what to expect. When you call, they answer. When you email, they respond quickly. They are professional, responsive, and clearly well-respected in their field. Rachel Nevins, their paralegal, is outstanding--organized, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Amanda is the best hands down. Karamvir is an angel from heaven. I cannot recommend this team highly enough. If you need a family law attorney, this is the team you want on your side.

Divorce was uncharted territory for me, and Karin has guided me through these rough and daunting…read morewaters like a master seaman carrying precious cargo. She's been fair, exceptionally knowledgeable, ready to be assertive when necessary, and reasonable in all situations. She clearly has the respect of her peers in the legal community, and I found her through a personal recommendation/referral who knew of her expertise, diplomacy, and skills. She has a deep commitment and personal interest in helping her clients succeed in solving the problem of a separation, not making it worse. Her advice is timely and reflects a deep understanding not only of the law but of human relationships, and her mission truly is to help people solve their problems in an adult manner, with civil and amicable proceedings and outcomes. This is why she has become recognized as a powerful and poignant voice in the legal community and among those interested in how divorce and dissolution can work while minimizing conflict or emotion. Her partner, John Rosecrans, is equally skilled in his own right, and the two of them complement each others' skills in a manner well-suited to helping virtually any client with their situation. His focus on details of the law and researching cases to their fullest help tremendously in situations that become more legally technical and complex. Additionally, their pricing for clients is reasonable--which was one of my biggest fears--and their ability to "work things out" with other attorneys keeps costs down to a minimum. It's been a rough period of my life, but Karin & John definitely minimized many of the challenges that seemed so foreboding, and they've absolutely earned my respect, admiration, and willingness to refer them to nearly anyone who's going through a divorce. I already provided one referral, which I know has also had a very positive outcome for the client--beyond their expectations given the severity of the case. I cannot say enough positive things about this legal team. If you're going through a divorce, or even considering one, give them a call.

Mr. Savage was able to quickly pick up my case when my former firm/attorney retired from family law. He acted with urgency, making time to review all previous materials and correspondences, to meet with me to understand my goals, and clearly communicated next steps and timeline. It is clear to me that Mr. Savage is very comfortable and knowledgeable when it comes to family law. He was able to catch small things that my previous attorney missed or actions the former firm had taken that were no longer the standard. This keen eye for detail made all the difference in my case and we were able to get a parenting plan in place, despite a lack of cooperation from the respondent, during our first hearing. Mr. Savage was incredibly responsive and even caught an after-hours declaration the respondent emailed hours before the hearing. He notified me right away and advised me of the next probable steps, eliminating concerns I had over the last-minute response. I was also impressed with Mr. Savage's integrity; for example he informed the commissioner of the respondent's declaration despite its untimely arrival and the respondent failing to appear at the hearing. My overall experience was 5 gold stars! Huge thank you to Mr. Savage and team.

Before I've even started to type this, I have tears of thanks running down my face…read more From our very first conversation, Kristen assured me and reassured me over and over again that we would get through this nightmare together and that my daughter and I would be happy and safe. Despite my extreme anxiety and stressful breakdowns through the 2+ year case, she was patient, understanding and supportive. Being in a marriage where I was degraded and abused for years, left me with zero self esteem and no conidence at all. I believed every awful thing the ex told me...( he'd get full custody, I'd never see my daughter again, he'd put me in jail for kidnapping etc..) I can't even tell you how many terrified tears I cried in the beginning. Step by step, with Kristen in my corner, I started to feel more secure and confident that I had finally made the right choice by leaving. While my ex made this a LONG drawn out process, Kristen kept me in the loop and as calm as possible. Two years later, I'm back to the strong, confident, independent woman I was before my miserable marriage. I know that I am a great mom and I've made the best choices for my daughter and I. I went from daily anxiety/panic attacks in fear of losing my baby girl, to laughing at the absolute ridiculous nonsense that my ex used to terrify me with. The first great choice I'd made in years was hiring Kristen. Even when I wanted to give up, she wouldn't let me. Even when I was willing to settle for less than my daughter and I deserved, she wouldn't let me. She fought harder for me than I would've even fought for myself. And everything she encouraged me to fight for was absolutely correct. My daughter and I are living our best lives and are protected and worry free. My simple words of thanks will never be enough.
