Envision Family Law - Donna Anderson, Family Law Paralegal

I'm grateful to have found Jason & Donna. I had two other lawyers since 2017 (one from McKinley…read moreIrvin) and they don't come close to what Jason and Donna did. I cannot thank Jason & Donna enough for their help protecting my children. We had multiple hearings over the course of 8 months. Jason and Donna were available 24/7. No matter what day of the week or time of day, I could reach them if needed. They went above and beyond with their skills and resources to protect my children as if they were their own. We are so very grateful for their time and strong efforts to keep them safe. If I ever need help in the future, I will only use Jason & Donna.

Andrew's warm, comforting and sharp demeanor instantly put me at ease during our initial consultation. He gave me confidence that I was on the right path and that I had come to the right person. My daughter's mother and I both have rocky pasts and there was a long and messy history to sort through. Andrew and Donna (paralegal) did an excellent job of helping me put together my case and were very responsive, as I felt like I had endless questions to ask and additional information to give. My situation was very hectic and there were regularly new twists and turns and they were tremendous in advising me on how to navigate through it. We got through our temporary orders hearing and Andrew helped me to get a great temporary parenting plan. The months that followed were no less stressful and Andrew and Donna both stuck with me and guided me through it all. This entire legal process was completely outside of my comfort zone and I had to put a lot of faith in Andrew. I trusted him to make very big decisions and his approach was always very thoughtful, intelligent and strategic. He did not let me down one bit. When it came time to go to trial, Andrew spent a ton of time working with me to get ready and went above and beyond prepping both me as well as himself for what was one of the most important events of my life. He was also mindful of the fact that my financial situation was not the best and did his best to work with me accordingly. Over the entire year plus long process, I felt like he was genuinely invested in my daughter's well-being and he proved that with how hard he worked for us. In the end, thanks to Andrew's excellent work and Donna's vigilance behind the scenes, I was able to get full custody and decision making, which was amazing as a single father with a past in Washington state. As I said before, my situation is ongoing and often tumultuous so unfortunately there will very likely be a need to work with them more in future. Should that need arise, I will go back to them with the utmost confidence. I truly cannot thank them enough for what they did for me and my family.

He actually does listen and he does know what your feelings probably are. I've read some reviews of his that feel like he is somehow harsh-he isn't he is simply listening and giving you outstanding legal understanding and counsel. It's your situation that is harsh not Mr.Hansen. The first call is worth so much, just call him and your understanding will go up by 100% for free. When you perceive his understanding and ability you will retain him as your counsel. Full disclosure: I reconciled with my spouse (hallelujah) so didn't wind up completing the divorce.

After several months of high legal fees and no progress while my confidence in my first attorney diminished, I retained Mr. Hansen as my attorney. That was the best decision I made during the divorce process. The other side created unnecessary hurdles, was non-responsive most of the times, and relied on bullying tactics. Mr. Hansen arrived at mediation equipped with all the pertinent documents and paperwork, equipment, and prepared arguments for my case. Mr. Hansen focused on application of the law throughout the process, providing great legal advice that saved me a lot of money and headache. His approach is very direct and matter of fact. He has immense experience and knowledge of family law. My confidence in him never wavered. I highly recommend contacting Mr. Hansen if you are going through a divorce - it'll be worth it. His fees are very fair and he's honest in his dealings which I genuinely appreciated. More importantly, he worked diligently to dissolve the marriage.

Though most people don't ever hope for a divorce, those who go through them hope for a good one…read more And one way to have a good one is of course to have a great lawyer, but perhaps also to think about the process as a way to come to mutual agreements about moving forward, as opposed to a battle of separate interests. For those who lean toward the former approach, Adrienne Keith is a fantastic resource, not only as a lawyer but as a calm, steady person. She works in Collaborative Law as well as mediation, and is active not only in volunteering but also in writing an insightful, funny, sensitive blog about divorce and family law-related topics (http://splitsvillenews.com/). While I didn't technically utilize Collaborative Law (she provides legal divorce services other than just that process), Adrienne was so helpful in carefully walking me through each step of the process, always calm, professional yet warm, and perfectly prepared. I truly appreciated her attitude of non-combativeness and of working to find mutual solutions to sticky issues. Should you find yourself or know someone who's in the situation of needing representation through a divorce or family law issue, do yourself a favor and get in touch with her. Plus, on the way out of the courthouse she handed me a really thick envelope....When I got home, I opened it. A lovely bar, of bittersweet chocolate. What more can a girl want when she gets her old name back?

Yes! Woohoo! As good as it gets! I divorced, after 42 years…read moreof marriage, in 2001 with the help(?) of a mediator who had no legal training, but with no legal assistance. I realized four years later, because of threats from my ex-husband to stop my alimony unless I agreed to a modification of our settlement which would substantially reduce my payments. At the advice of friends, I sought legal representation. After two vain attempts--one attorney hemmed and hawed and delayed, the other nearly threw me out of his office (perhaps he'd recently had a bad personal experience with divorce??)--I was about to give up when my sister said, "Please try one more time." I sought a recommendation from a formerly practicing attorney who gave me Monique Gilson-Moreau's name. She read the correspondence I had received from my ex and immediately said, "He whaaaat??" and I knew at once I had found the right lawyer!! After asking me a few more questions she turned to her computer and wrote an e-mail to my ex. Without further correspondence from my ex, my payments returned to normal! I have consulted Monique and her wonderful associate, Erin Kenway, who joined Monique's firm last year, several times in the past two years. To make a long story short, I have finally resolved my differences with my ex with limited direct correspondence between him and me, thanks to Monique and Erin. I had a very long marriage and, it seems, a very long divorce, but I am finally able to go on with my life thanks to a great legal team! I would, first of all, advise that no one go through a divorce without legal representation. Secondly, and most importantly, I would very highly recommend Monique Gilson-Moreau and her associate Erin Kenway for very helpful assistance in a divorce--or for any other general legal assistance needed. They are wonderful!

I deeply appreciated working with Truce Law firm and especially Leslie Beauregard as the attorney representing my case. It took time to work through the legal system and it was completely frustrating - having Leslie there to provide expert guidance as well as being present during the many court hearings. My case kept taking all sorts of twists and turns that were difficult to navigate and having her available to me made a tremendous difference. There were days when I just wanted to quit. I hope to never ever find myself in this situation again where the person you are working through issues with is no longer reasonable. I am fortunate to have worked with Leslie and highly recommend working with her.

Expensive, Slow, and the Agreement Already Fell Apart…read more I used Truce Law in 2023/24 for my divorce, involving both children and financial assets to divide. I worked directly with Justin. He is convincing, knowledgeable, and genuinely makes you feel like the collaborative approach will protect your kids and your interests. That pitch is what sold me. I wish the execution had matched it. The process involves paying for an entire team Justin recommends: a mediator, a Divorce Financial Analyst, and attorneys for both parties (including Justin himself). At the hourly rates involved, you expect competence. What I got was not meeting the expectation, at least from the Divorce Financial Analyst. The work product was so poor and unclear that I ended up rebuilding the asset division calculations myself from scratch, with full transparency and no ambiguity. That is work the analyst failed to do, repeatedly. Justin also dropped the ball on communication and follow-up. The agreement was not finalized on time. I had to push things forward myself over the Christmas break. His explanation was essentially that he was stretched thin across other cases. We eventually failed to have an agreement signed before the end of the year. The biggest promise of the collaborative approach is that a well-crafted agreement prevents future legal conflict. That promise has not held up. My agreement is ambiguous in key areas, and I am now dealing with exactly the kind of disputes they told me this process would prevent. Any vagueness in the document has become a point of contention. Long process, high cost, mediocre team, and an agreement that is already causing problems. I would not recommend this firm, do your homework.
