I consulted Nidal Dirini at Helsell Fetterman for a WLAD discrimination case against a state…read moreagency. While the firm did waive the consultation fee after I explained my financial situation, I had concerns about the contingency agreement and the process overall: Fee Structure: The contract required me to pay 33-45% of the total recovery, including any court-awarded attorney fees. At the time, I didn't realize that under WLAD, defendants are supposed to pay attorney fees separately from damages. After my consultation, I did my own research and learned this is known as "double-dipping," which can significantly reduce a client's net recovery. Case Valuation: During our conversation, Nidal told me he did not see my claim reaching six figures. He seemed to undervalue the potential of my case, which prompted me to do more research on my own. Later, I discovered published cases like Snell v. DSHS, where plaintiffs in similar or even weaker positions received much larger verdicts. Contract Terms: I found the firm was not flexible on contract terms related to medical liens, termination penalties, or interest rates-terms I now know are important for client protection. Second Opinion: Weeks/months later after our discussion, I requested to speak with another attorney at the firm who specialized in employment law. I did not receive a response, which left me feeling unsupported. For anyone considering this firm: Make sure you understand how court-awarded attorney fees will be handled in your case. Do your own research on case values and contract terms. Be aware that you may not get a second opinion if you disagree with the initial assessment. I only give 1-star or 5-star reviews-pass or fail. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm for WLAD discrimination cases.

We were overwhelmed, anxious, dealing with a complete liar and juggling a lot at the time. Bryn took the time to truly listen, asked thoughtful questions, and immediately made us feel supported and understood. When we met in person, he was nothing but professional, kind, and--somehow--even managed to make us laugh during a very difficult situation. Throughout our time working with him, Bryn's emails were always detailed, clear, and extremely effective. He consistently shut down nonsense and misinformation from the other side with precision and confidence. Comparing the professionalism and substance of Bryn's work to what the opposing counsel produced made it crystal clear that we made the right decision trusting him with our legal needs! Bryn isn't just an excellent attorney--he's a genuinely good person. He's a family man, a great dad, and it shows in how deeply he cares about his clients. He treats you like a human being, not just a case. When our situation unfortunately escalated into a lawsuit, Bryn recommended an outstanding litigation firm, which ultimately helped us win. That recommendation alone speaks volumes about his integrity and experience. I cannot recommend Bryn highly enough for business legal matters. Bryn truly has a great thing going, and I will always be incredibly grateful we found him.

For 3.5 months, I worked closely with Carinne Jaeger on a complicated eviction that had many surprise twists and turns. When I was first doing my research on landlord/tenant attorneys, I had a positive gut feeling about Carinne. She was so responsive off the bat which never weathered throughout the entire process. Her and her paralegals would call/email back almost immediately. At each step and check-in, Carinne explained everything in detail, gave us options, and made sure to advise yet let us have the final say with every action. Highly Recommend! Responsive, Respected and Relentless sums it up!…read more During a kitchen remodel, we found major water intrusion damage to one of the units of our small, four-unit condominium. When our insurance company denied our claim we hired Levy, von Beck and Comstock to go to battle for us. We worked directly with Dave von Beck. Dave and his firm have years of working with denied insurance claims, real estate, construction defects, and condo law. He's the ultimate expert and he's probably the most responsive and detailed professional I've ever dealt with. If I called, he'd take my call in the middle of a meeting. He answered my emails over the weekend. Everything he said was clear and made sense. He could cite and interpret crucial pieces of information in copious pages of technical engineering reports. He really shepherded us through a process that was far more complicated than we imagined. We were a small informal HOA, with no experience in dealing with anything this serious. His attention never wavered from this project, he was clearly "all in" with us. Additionally, Dave has built close relationships with all the key players: He knew our insurance companies lawyer, he already knew and worked with the construction company that we chose to do the repairs to the building. He knew when to call in an engineer and he knew and educated us on condo laws that we were unaware of. He understands and speaks construction at all aspects, practical and legal. He became the hub of information, pulled everything together and kept everything moving forward. Dave is a straight-shooter, ethical and trustworthy while also being persuasive and a real bulldog. And the bottom line: he got our insurance company to pay for both the investigative work and all of the repair! I can't recommend him enough. A life saver!
