All I can say is WOW! Your company saved me a great deal of Money!!! My wife and I have been looking at a slightly older television as we paged through the flyers looking for deals on a new television for three weeks. Since they did such a great job servicing all of my home and small business networks and workstations in the past, we decided to call Easton Computer and Electronics for possibly understanding the economic feasability to repair versus replace my old Mitsubishi Rear Projection Bigscreen. As I asked them , "Is it worth fixing my 55 inch 4x3 televison?" Simply after Paul asked me for the make and model information he asked me the golden question. At least I thought it was, "How did you like the picture on your TV before it gave you trouble?" I answered candidly as I loved this TV and its picture (which is why I bought this exact TV in the first place after much research because of its picture! As this and most TVs provide the picture in a home theater. Sound is provided by my surround sound receiver and 5 speakers and a sub. The picture is what I liked but considered maybe it will cost too much or maybe I could get something better. After discussing the options with Paul, I was tempted to have their onsite service technician evaluate the situation for an initial fee. Once I realized two key details that I had overlooked until Paul discussed alternatives in a new TV product to replace my set this which pushed me over the edge for replacement cost. After re-checked my cost analysis including the table I need to add to combine the new shorter height WIDESCREEN TV that offers 30 smaller top to bottom dimension for the equivalent Diagonal size picture. In other words, If I replace my 55" TV with a widescreen I need to buy a table to raise the center of the TV to a viewable position by about 20-22" then the new TV will cost much more than I thought to replace it with one that is 73" diagonal just to get comparable height. So I requested that Paul sent his technician Steve to evaluate the jumbled colored lines that looked like a 3D movie until he came out and did solve the problems and much more. They quoted a very reasonable price to fix the TV and they even had the parts to fix the TV on the spot! They prepared to have what they needed based on the information that I provided and their previous service history on this model. They expedited finishing the repair of my TV for only $100 dollars more to service it in my home. Fortunately, they would not even take the larger TV in because of its size, which was great. I didn't want to move this or any TV for that matter if I knew what these guys could do in advance. It was effortless for me, but thats not all. Needless to say they fixed my televion. They uncovered a wiring problem that I had with my surround sound system and corrected it at no additional charge because the technician was so passionate about getting the sound proper after the picture was restored. By the way, the picture was even better than I have ever seen it even since I purchased the television some 8 years ago. These people appear extremely knowledgable and truly thorough about making things work their best! Since they have completed the service, my friends stopped asking me why I didn't just throw it out and buy a new one since thay remain glued to my system again every sunday since. They were really as suprised as our family is! I am so convinced that these guys really know what they're doing that I am calling them back to replace my 5 remote controls with a single activity level device that consolidates all of my remotes, much better than any universal remote that I have ever seen. These guys showed me how simply one button can activate my entire complex system to (1) WATCH TV or (2) WATCH a DVD. (3) One button simply turns all equipment off after use. This will let anyone including myself use this system to perform in an activity with ease! I make my living using technology, and also have a talented team of technicians I work with in New York City. Point is, I know a few things about computers. I also have a view of how service should be provided. Most vendors don't care enough, or know enough or have enough resources for me to want do business with. Easton Electronics has all these-, integrity, knowledge and resources. Mix these together and what you get is superior service. This comes primarily from the work ethic and attitude of the shop's owner, Paul Sherman. More than once Paul has called me up when a project could have "just been done" to say-"if we did it this way, it would be better"- he would discover a new piece of hardware that had a better price, a little more power, something that would make the project better. This consistent interest in the best possible outcome really got my attention. He seems to hire pretty good people as well. I have worked with a pleasant fellow Zeus, on a couple of projects that stumped my own techs-(or that I did not want them to spend any more time on) and Zeus came through, on time and within budget. One night, they kept the shop open for me when I had a vital server in need of repair, and I know Paul spent most of the next day gathering the parts needed to get me back on my feet. I contacted Easton Computer & Electronics because two big box stores refused to even look at my husband's HP desktop that crashed, unable to open at all. I was told to buy a new one via curbside pickup. Paul told us he would be happy to give it a try but promised nothing. Paul kept me posted on the progress along the way and said it was a "tough one" but thankfully he and his staff never gave up. We have had it back or nearly two weeks now and we have all the data back and everything is working perfectly.
