Eastland Mall wasn't the mall it once used to be. As many residents of Bloomington-Normal know about 10+ years ago this mall was thriving with stores galore and had an actual food court. In present day the food court is bare with 3 restaurants and that one pretzel stand (It's still tasty all these years later though). Stores have dissipated with time the good ones being H&M, Macy's, JC Penny, and Victoria's Secret. I look forward to the day where we get more stores, and that those store revive the mall with good owners and make Eastland Mall what it once was, a good mall. read more

This place is a dump that needs to be demolished. Almost every store with very few exceptions are outdated, expensive, or flat out closed. When you walk in the mall it feels like you have entered a time machine and I don't mean that in a good way. The most crowded I have ever seen it in several years was when they had the general election voting stations. What does that tell you? 3 Things You Care About in a Mall 1) parking 2) food court 3) store selection 1) Parking: They have lots. Here are some tips to make this better. NEVER enter by Applebee's its a death trap. The closest distance to a door can be found by Macy's, Bergners off Eastland Drive and the entrance between Kohl's and the Sporting Good Store. 2) You know you care. The only respectable choice is Great Steak and Potato. If you've got picky people with you though who don't know goodness when they see it you've also got Sbarro, Arby's, a sandwich place, something chinese, and i think something mexican. If you can tell, I don't really eat anything other than GSP. 3) High end? Yeah not so much. This is middle class heaven people so if you're in debt up to your eye balls in designer crap go to Chicago. Every small town has to have a basic mall. Since there really isn't much else to do in this town. It's very basic with some moderately decent anchor stores (Sears, Bergners, Macy's) but nothing of remarkable. read more

This mall is pretty bad. It gives Tanforan in the Bay Area (my gold standard for terrible malls) a run for its money! We came to see their food options which were pretty much the worst. A&W, Sbarro, Subway, Great Steaks and a couple other forgettable eateries. Although I didn't extensively shop, the crowd was extremely sparse on a Tuesday around dinner time. Perhaps its because of its aforementioned food options, but I am used to malls being busy in the hours following work. They have the basic requirement stores for a mall: Express, American Eagle, Hollister, Gamestop, Victoria's Secret. Thats about it though. It does admittedly have a Macys which fits the "Macys or Nordstrom" requirement of all malls (which Tanforan inexplicably fails). At any rate, if you need to go shopping for something specific its functional. I feel sorry for the kids who grow up having to hang out at this mall though. read more

Santa hours were very specifically listed online as closing at 6pm on Christmas Eve. As we trekked through the snow filled roads, me & grandma finally approached Santa at 4:55 pm, 3 very excited young children helping to push grandma in her wheelchair in tow. However, we were quickly informed by Santa's "non-helpers", who were stuffing their faces with pizza, that Santa decided leave at 5. Sort of embodies the concept that malls are dying off. Several closed anchors and smaller shops inside. It's clean and sort of busy but maybe on its way out. read more

This mall used to be great, however no fault to its own, it is now nearly empty like all the other malls throughout America. I hope business picks up soon as it is nice feature in our town. It still holds some of my favorite stores including, Express and Kohl's. Other than that, there aren't many stores left that I shop in. read more

This mall is disappointing! Their is no good stores at all! It's is very limited options and they need a whole makeover! My recommendation is to go to the marketplace mall in Champaign the atmosphere is great! The atmosphere in this mall sucks! read more
