You're probably thinking ... gee Gemma, go to a bar or something. Well, Fred and Mary's little place has got it going on for drop off laundry in terms of specialty pieces. I told a friend that I had a century old lace tablecloth that was so dusty even dust mites walked away. She said, "Fred and Mary will do wonders with it." Well, okay. So, in I went clutching my heirloom dust-cloth and in three days I picked up a beautifully clean, packed with care, tablecloth of many Holiday dinners past. I was sold. On the agenda next came an equally old baby quilt that carried stains of who knows what. Again, they laid their hands on it and in three days ... ditto. The prices are very reasonable and service with a smile goes a long way with me! Super! read more

I hate Laundromats. Most of them are dirty and there's weird creepy people in them. This one though is always clean and there is always open machines. Can't get away from the creepo's though. ;) I don't know if the price is right or not since I rarely go, but 3 big loads for 15 bucks is what I paid. They have laundry service there, not Shakira's CD, they actually do your laundry for you if you want to pay for it. There's some vending machines and a little table. Osi V referred me to this place when I was looking for a place to wash my whites, seeing as I have well water and after just 2 washes by whites were already turning yellow!!! Hell no...that was not working for me, so off to the laundromat I had to go! O told me that her and her mama had been going here for a while because it was one of the best in the area, and I have to say they were right. The place is never really too busy, it's clean and the prices seem like any other laundromat. My son even made friends with a little old Polish lady one time and she was pushing him around on an office chair. Ahhhh...classic laundromat...haha. This is my go-to place to wash my whites and for all you GTL-ers out there...they have a drop-off service where they will wash and fold your shiz! read more

Extremely nice staff. For the dryer, use the ones in the back by the bathroom. According to the staff, it's best for your buck. I needed to wash 4 blankets. I believe it's 5.50 to wash in medium size and another 1.50 to dry. Everything came out to be 20 bucks. I would recommend this place and will be there again. read more

I'm always a little hesitant heading to laundromats so when I was without a washer/dryer for a couple weeks and had to go here, I was expecting to the worst. The reality is, this place isn't so bad. I'll admit that I haven't been to many laundromats but this is probably one of the nicest I've been to. The place is big and has a lot of washers and dryers. There's a bill exchange machine to break down your larger currency and a quarter machine as well. A little seating area can be found on one side with vending machines available. There's a tv in that area but I never saw it on. There's also music playing but it's what I like to call "old people tunes" which means unless you're 45+ it'll probably put you to sleep. The rest of the seating at the place is a little odd, there's benches and random office chairs scattered around for you to sit on. I've visited here on three separate occasions, twice during the week and once on a Sunday. All the times I went it wasn't really busy at all and there were always machines available. I even saw workers there fulling cleaning the inside and outside of the machines one day which made me feel good. The prices for a wash varies. If your laundry load isn't too big, there's small machines for $2.50. There's machines for a medium load for $3.75 and the prices continue to go up from there. The machines I used for washing were all really quick (under 20 mins). The dryers are big and you'll be able to fit a good amount in them. $.25 will get the dryer started for 8mins and each additional quarter you put in from there will add 6 mins. Again, I don't frequent laundromats too often so I can't really say whether or not those prices are great or terrible. There's also an option for you to drop off your laundry for them to do for you individuals who are in a hurry or despise folding like me. As for the clientele there.....who am I to judge? Well I'm a yelp reviewer so I feel as if it's my duty to judge the people I've seen there yet never conversed with. Some of them did seem a little strange but I must add that I pretty much find everyone to be a tad weird. But hey, at least they're washing their clothes and not walking around in dirty underwear. read more

So after putting in 5$ of quarters in a machine, the front leaks. We talk with manager and he stated that he'll give us 4$ back. Literally was running 1 min. Lots of open machines, I came on a Monday night after moving to the area on Saturday. I will not be coming back due to the outrageous prices. 9$ for a large load with extra rinse and extra wash(8.50 without) .25 cents for 8 minutes on a medium to small dryer. I have never liked going to laundromats because of germs and feeling like I needed a bath after going. It is my first time here and this place is by far the cleanest I've ever been to and I feel comfortable being here with COVID going on. They are well stocked, have a wash and fold service too. I am a fellow business owner (pet salon) and my washing machine is broken. I was soooo relieved when Aravin, the super friendly and helpful younger gentleman showed me the oversized washers and dryers saving me time for the 7 garbage bags of towels I brought in. He took my garbage bags, weighed a few and estimated the weight to be able to give me cash back and an itemized receipt for my expenses. And he happens to speak Spanish for anyone that needs it. Additionally, the prices are very fair and for the wash and fold, it's a lot cheaper than other places that only offer dry cleaning and wash/fold. I will 100% be back here until my machine is fixed. read more

Needed to get more quarters been going there for years doing my laundry never had a problem getting 10 or $20 in cash to get quarters now under the new management you are charged at $3 free. Took my clothes out of the washing machine and told her I would not be back that I would find a new laundromat even though this laundromat is 2 minutes from my home. Told me I had a bad attitude didn't need to talk to her that way I didn't swear scream just raise my voice she told me she had called her manager she never did I watch to go back to doing laundry and never make a phone call. I was here on 4-21 after not having been here in years. What a change!! Bright, super clean, lots of washers in various sizes. They have laundry supplies for those of us that have forgotten something, and vending machines with drinks and snacks. The gentleman in charge was so helpful and nice - showed me the various washers, and helped me get change. I brought my laptop and was able to work while doing the laundry with the wi-fi. I've been coming back to this laundry since I first moved to the area. It's very accesible with parking, the place is always clean with helpful staff around. Personally I have never had any problem with washers, dryers or even coin dispensers. Prices are a bit high but it's worth feeling your clothes super clean. It also has a little shop inside just in case you forget soap or softner etc. Usually in for like an hour or so, bring a good read they have seats and tables so you can bring your work stuff or study... read more

Since our washer went out at home - we love to come here to wash and mostly dry our laundry. The staff are friendly and keep the place clean. When I bring my son, they hold conversations with about his life and schooling. The pricing is reasonable and isn't going to break the bank when you have several loads to wash and dry. read more

Yes, I do my laundry at my most favorite laundromat in the world. I live in an apartment complex and I don't trust the laundry room in the basement. Frankly because you have to go through 2 doors to a small box like room. I dunno....it kind of screams SCARY HORROR MOVIE. Anyhoo, Eastgate laundromat = A++++++. This place is clean, always has available machines, and the owners are friendly and very helpful. Go figure, someone who has the same last name as our awesome Cubs pitcher is of course reliable and knows how to make people happy. Nice, relatively clean Laundromat. I like the fact that there are plenty of washers and dryers, and most of them actually work. I've never had to wait to use anything, even when it's busy. There is always an attendant working, so if you encounter any problems, there's someone around to help. Maybe someday I'll live in a place where I have my own washer/dryer, but until then, I'll just continue to come to this little gem. read more

I've gone to a couple laundromats since my basement is being fixed, and I e gotta say, this is the best one I've been to! Clean, airy, friendly ppl, a restroom, and, most importantly, working machines (including the coin dispensers)!!!! The prices for washing machines ranges from $5 (really big loads) to $2 (for small loads) and the driers are .25 for 8 minutes. They also have a drop off laundry service and a very helpful, friendly attendant working at all times (there's also free wifi and surveillance cameras). And if you get bored, there are sitting areas around the place in addition to stools and office chairs... and a TV.... Or you can head next door to an ace hardware to browse? Lol! If you get hungry, there's a Chinese food place next door and a 7/11 a little ways downs (this place is located in a strip mall where the drivers license office is located). We are in the process of relocating our family of five to Illinois and needed a laundromat for a several weeks. Eastgate Laundromat is clean and decently priced. The staff is helpful and there are a large number of washers and dryers for use with variable pricing for your laundry needs. We have been at various times and have yet to wait on a washer or dryer. There are carts for moving laundry, large folding tables, change machines, free WiFi that actually works (although you have to ask for the password), vending machines and a soap center. My kids love the wheeled chairs scattered through the laundromat. We actually went to two other laundromats in the area, but came back to Eastgate. Since we are using it during the summer, I was surprised and very thankful that they air condition the laundromat. If you need to do laundry on a regular basis or just need a large capacity washer for rugs or blankets, I would recommend Eastgate. read more

I have been washing my jeans and whites at Eastgate Laundry for years and have always been impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness and huge array of machines available at any time. The owners are two of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and their drop-off laundry service is beyond comparison the best I've ever had. Being single I indulge myself and don't do any regular laundry except whites and jeans. When I get my washed laundry back from Eastgate, it's like a basket of new clothes, folded and clean like a high-end department store. EXCELLENT! read more
