I rarely leave reviews but I feel I have to for this company. my washer & dryer went out so I've had to use a coin laundry and I went here and the place was immaculatly clean and the staff was more than helpful and kind. I tried a couple of other coin laundries and all I can say is NEVER AGAIN! If you want the BEST service, the CLEANEST place and an AMAZING staff, there's only one place to go and that's Addison Coin Laundry. I would like to tell you story. I have never given negative reviews. This time is another story. It started when our dryer was broken. It was Easter. I had to do laundry at home, but the dryer did not work. Our washing machine was working well. So, I decided to find Laundromat near us. I was not in laundromat for the years. I have washed the clothes in our house and went to laundromat on shopping mall which is next to Caputo's Fresh Market. Why I chose this laundromat - you would ask me. It was just one I knew, because I like Caputo's grocery store. Now I really regret I chose this laundromat. By the way - please read other negative reviews customers left for this "business". It is amazing - you will find a lot of similarities I tell you. As I understand - this behavior I experienced from the owner of this "business" typical for him and it was not just toward me. Also read carefully his responses. He does not try to fix the problem, but blames customer and defends himself. Ok, let me start the real story. I came to the laundromat. The name of this Laundromat "Addison Coin Laundry" or "Coin Laundry". I came into the laundromat first, without my laundry, because I needed to talk to somebody there to find how to use the machines. Remember - I have not been in laundromat for years - I believe more than 10 Years. Somebody came from room, and immediately I felt pressure and not comfortable. I asked him I need to dry my clothes because my dryer at the home was broken. He told me I cannot just use the dryer, I need to use washer, because (listen carefully now) the most money they have it is from washers, not from dryers. Although it had been a number of years that I had been to a laundromat, I do not recall ever having to pay for both washing and drying clothes. Usually you can do either wash, or dry, or both. Do I need to know (I ask myself) how much money they earn from their customers and where the most profitable part of their business? After I looked at him with puzzle and asked him: "I cannot dry clothes here?" He told me: "But today is Easter!" and he allowed me to use just the dryer. By the way - I talk with accent because I am immigrant from Europe. He asked - where I am from? I told him - I am from Ukraine. He looked at me with strange look and told me I can ask you to leave now. I asked him - why he behave so rude toward me? Does he support the war? I really regret I did not leave this moment. I asked him - where he is from (because he had accent). He told me - he is from Albania. I asked him his name and he was hesitated to give me his name, but told me in a few seconds - he is Jimmy. I went to my car and brought the clothes. Jimmy was next to me again, he was rude and started to telling me again how much money they earn from washing machine. He wanted to use his card to start the dryer, but I told him: "NO". I brought coins (I remember I need coins in laundromat from my previous experience when we had to rent room in Chicago when we just arrived to USA). By the way - I realized later he did not tell me I can use credit card in contemporary new machines. And for some reason he wanted to use his card, but I stopped him. I felt not comfortable all time in this "institution". I asked him a few time - Why he behave like this toward me? And he told me - He was trying to help. I told him - you are not helping. I still do not understand - why I did not leave this laundromat?! He told me - I have to load the machine with the clothes and I did. He asked me to give him quarters. I started to give him the quarters and he put a few inside of slot and asked for more. At that point I did not realize he put more than it was needed for drying my clothes. I told him I have to leave to shop at the Caputo's and he started to threaten me - if I will not come on time before dryer finishes to dry my laundry he throws out my clothes. He told me he will do this because it is Sunday and he has a lot of customers and they need to use the dryers. I am a nice person and do not start a fight without the reason first. It was reason and I still did not want to fight with this rude "businessman". I told him I will be on time and memorized how many minutes left to dry the clothes. I came back on time, even a little earlier - my laundry was still drying. I noted - all dryers (around 7 - 8 machines) were not in use. Jimmy was not there and I was relieved. Not because of my laundry, but because I did not want to talk to this rude unpleasant person again. You know - yes, it is great to have good machinery when you do your laundry, but the most important how you feel in this institution. I will not be back to this laundromat. Our dryer was fixed and we have great Samsung brand. I still have a bad impression of this "Business" and "Businessman". Great place. Good prices. Friendly staff. Gave my clothes a great wash and dry. I don't usually use laundry services, but when my machine at home Broke down, I had to find somewhere to wash my clothes. Addison coin laundry had the best prices, and gave me the biggest bang for my buck. I might just wash my clothes here all the time! read more
