Full body massage plus foot massage is reasonably priced; staff is always friendly and owner is a real gentleman. Language can be a barrier with some staff if you expect them to understand an entire English conversation. However, basic massage related words are totally understood. Mary did a fantastic job on my back especially my shoulder. The foot treatment was done by Mike who certainly knew how to press the right pressure points to make me scream. For $40 I enjoyed 1 1/2 hours of high-quality services, I couldn't complain about that no tea was served before or after the treatment (since I went there for massage not tea). It was one of the best experiences I have had with foot spa. I know their promotion will be over by the end of May. But their regular price is also very reasonable. The place is located in an old shopping plaza on Columbia Turnpike. It's not much to look at from the outside but don't let that stop you. The inside is small and not terribly posh but my hour massage was amazing. Barbara was the massage therapist and she made me feel right at ease and paid a lot of attention to my neck and shoulders, the two spots where I carry all my stress. The hour flew by and before I knew it, it was over. They've got a lot of other services that I might take advantage of next time because there will definitely be a next time.

What should've been a 5 star spa in Vegas, it wasn't and is my leveling spa. I've been to small town spas, so I also weigh the location...is it urban enough to support a luxury 5 star experience and the prices to sustain it. Kudos to Spa Mirbeau in Albany for rating 4 's. I had 4 different technicians and many other team members who supported the overall experience. For the massage and facials services, when the service is complete, they spray a mist over your face. I find this bracing and feel a soft tone would seem more appropriate (but that may just be my preference). Here are my thoughts: Dana 5 (pedicure) - very engaging and also a strong tech. She asked before doing something that may have been uncomfortable. I needed her to do it, but glad she asked before proceeding. Toes looked amazing! Katie 5 - wow! This was what I expected and her hand techniques were spot on! She used the proper massage movements and it felt very close to my North Star expectations, reminding me of Paris! Lindsey 4 - I selected the wrong facial (European), hence next day I went for the trifecta (what I expected). She was good, friendly and no loud noises or odd experiences. Brittney & Sam (bistro) 5 - not sure it's good to be recognized for being in a spa 2 days in a row, but they remembered me and were super welcoming. They were great as suggesting options and were hustling. They asked me if I needed anything by name, as I sat there relaxing and enjoying the slow pace. They didn't over/under engage, a hard skill to master - well done! Front desk 3 - courteous & efficient, they know we are here for the experience and ready to get started. The 2nd day I had a 9 am, but waited to get checked in, so felt rushed to get to the trifecta. Would've been a bigger issue for a massage. Attendants 3 - mostly spot on, only matter was I entered a shower that was ready for next guest and there was hair in the drain - a lot of it. Just suggest it's checked before the curtain is slid aside for next guest. Also, when I told one attendant I didn't have a bathing suit, she didn't mention they had them in the gift shop. I spent 3 hours in the spa before I decide to ask. She could've suggested that instead of wearing a towel and dipping feet in the hot tub. Nikki 2 (just the essentials) - I was so excited about the scalp & shoulder massage, but she was loud multiple times throughout the treatment, even slammed cabinet doors or trashcan lids making me jump a few times. The head massage was underwhelming. The feet and hand massages were not deep enough to remove tension and the add-on oil treatment was painful when she pulled my hair too far from the root. Spa facility 4 - well done with different spaces and no need to carry money/cards after check-in. The relaxation room and aqua terrace are where I mostly enjoyed my time, but it was nice to sit at a dining table in the bistro and I did try the steam room. Spa products 3 - the products seemed to wear off very quickly. I do not have hydration issue, it appears to be the quality of the products. The ones used for the trifecta service were better than the others used across all services. I just wished they were of the tier/quality of nescens or something of the like, or if there were tiers to choose from that would be great.
