Highly recommend!! I love this Club Pilates located in California, Maryland. Been a member here…read moresince 2020. All the instructors are very experienced and each brings a unique work out every time. No one work out is the same. The instructors are very helpful and will give you alternate moves if you have a problem with any certain body parts. My favorites are flow and center and balance. This is a great way to get yourself in shape and toned without much risk to injury. I usually take a 1.0 or 1.5 class. If the 1.5 is a little tough, you can adjust to your own fitness level and instructors are great at observing if you are struggling and will give you tips on adjusting the moves to meet your level so you can keep up. They will also give you more challenging options as well if you are able. There is never any pressure or embarrassment if you struggle. Unique thing about Club Pilates is it is good for all age ranges. I'd like to say I have a favorite instructor, but they are all excellent and each brings their own unique style to the table. I frequent Sherry, Kerry and Andrea's classes because they have timeslots that fit my schedule. Sherry's flow 1.0 class is one if my favorites. She works a little tai chi in at the end of each class and offers great stretching, strength training and helps you work those teeny little muscles you didn't know you had. I have pain in my lower back, but her class really improved my condition and I don't have the pain that I used to have when I sit down and stand up. I walk out of there feeling energized and stretched with a slight ache in my muscles --but the good kind that help you know you are toning and gaining strength. Andrea's classes are awesome. She is very skilled at ensuring you're applying the proper technique and excellent at communicating the moves. She keeps the lights on so she can see that you are applying proper form and working the correct muscles. Some people complain about the ceiling lights, but I appreciate them for the reason she is keeping them on. I just close my eyes when I'm laying down on the reformer table. Her instructions are so clear you don't need to watch her. I really appreciate her style because I feel it's important to ensure you're working the muscles as intended in her workouts. Kerry is another of my favorites. she makes her workouts fun. She's bubbly and funny. She too is great at communicating the moves and ensuring you are using the right form. Kerry really challenges me and I walk out of her class feeling awesome and too with a slight muscle ache that helps me know my workout was effective. I also feel really stretched and refreshed after her classes. Bottom line... Every instructor I've ever had at Club Pilates has been top-notch. you're always greeted with the smiling happy face when you arrive and you leave feeling great.

5/5 Would come…read moreback!!! So many good things to say about this place - adorable studio spaces - awesome murals on the walls - super clean interior and really great instructors. My one comment was that during the restorative yoga class, the class that got out before in the other room came out and were chit chatting outside the door and while the door to the yoga room was closed, they were sill quite loud and even after the instructor asked them to be quiet, they not only kept their volume at the same level but didn't move away from the door. That is not a reflection on the studio but common courtesy notes that you should whisper when other classes are in session - I wonder if they need some signage as reminders? Other than that, the class was phenomenal. I was there on a day when there was a sun and I would never had known because Traci was AWESOME!! From her calm demeanor to her great narrative during the class and her hands on assistance - I was resorted, rejuvenated, and relaxed... If you are looking for an amazing class to replenish your day/week/life, I highly recommend a class with Traci or a restorative class. Thank you to the front desk staff too for the warm welcome and the tour!!!

*Disclaimer: My post is solely based on walking in and customer service. I did not take a class…read more I've been wanting to attend a class at this yoga studio for years. However, the class hours often don't align with my schedule. (no big deal) However, my 6-year-old has been wanting to try yoga, so I decided to attempt to sign her up. As I walk toward the door I am greeted by patrons who have just finished a yoga class, which made me feel more optimistic about this studio. However, when I got inside things took a turn. There were a few ladies in line, who appeared to be making a purchase. (no big deal, I can wait my turn). Honestly, it felt more like friends chatting after a class and making a few purchases forgetting that there was a first-time customer in the store. Yet, I noticed that I was never greeted nor told I would be assisted shortly. In fact, the individual behind the counter didn't acknowledge me at all. Red flag #1. I continued to wait and once it was my turn I walked up and the individual once again did not look up to greet me. Red flag #2. She asked me if I was here to check in and I answered no I'm interested in signing my daughter up for a yoga class. We discuss the yoga class and she still has yet to make eye contact with me as her focus appears to be solely on the computer screen. At this point I'm annoyed. I give my information for the yoga class link, knowing at this moment I am not signing my daughter up for a class here. It was not until I asked what they do during the class and how much it costs did she look at me. Needless, to say this made for an uncomfortable, awkward, unprofessional, and unwelcoming experience. Based on my interaction it made me think how my daughter may be treated during her visit. The sole positive takeaway from this encounter was that the studio decor presents well, other than that I would pass. I received more customer service and friendliness from those who were leaving a class than those who worked at the studio. This has been a failed attempt to find a safe and relaxing space. To say the least, I am disappointed, but not shocked. By presenting my concerns, I offer a solution. I suggest your front desk staff take a DEI class as well as a customer service training course. Based on my experience, it appears to be needed.

At Coreworks, the classes have no more than 8-10 reformers, so the instructor can take the time to help each student with the routines. No two workouts are the same, and classes are never dull. If you are thinking of giving Pilates a try, visit CoreWorks and check Groupon, as there are often new member/class packages.

Per the instructions on groupon, I emailed Fran so that I could create a log in online but I didn't hear back from her so I called the office. Once my account was created, I was able to sign up for classes. I was informed before I took any classes I would need to take the Intro to Equipment class. Fran was the instructor. She was patient and helpful as it was my first time and I needed specialized attention. For my second session, I took Reformer I & II with Doreen. Foe my last session I took Tower with a substitute for Doreen. All the instructors were patient, helpful, and friendly. They ask if anyone had injuries and they walk around and if your technique is wrong they adjust and correct you which I greatly appreciated. The classes were challenging to me since I am not good at following directions. Also, if you don't remember instructions well, I recommend taking Intro to Equipment multiple times. I had to look around to see how to do things as I am a visual learner, not an audio learner. The facility is tucked away in the corner and is not visible if you are in the parking lot. Fortunately I saw someone wearing athletic clothes and followed them. The facility is clean and bright. There are two individual restrooms. There is a main room with cubbies. The reformer room also had cubbies. The reformer room was slightly warm even with ceiling fans so I dressed lighter the second and third session. I enjoyed my experience, but could have benefitted from more intro classes. The classes were much different than my normal cardio and strength training classes at my gym. The pace was slower and it was a great way to relieve stress. I highly recommend Core Fitness for Pilates.

From the start, they did a great job making me feel prepared and welcomed. They provided clear, helpful information about what to expect as a first-timer and even what to bring--details that can make a big difference when you're new and unsure. This information is on their website but I also called ahead of time to verify. The studio itself is clean, fresh, and modern--an inviting space that feels great to work out in. The staff are quite kind, friendly, and well-organized. I appreciate how attentive and helpful they were during class. They gently stepped in with guidance when needed in a way that felt supportive --something I really appreciated. I've now taken two classes here: a reformer class and a hot Pilates class. Both were enjoyable in totally different ways, and I'd highly recommend trying both to see what works for you. Personally, I found a new joy with the reformer--it's such a unique and effective workout. But I also enjoyed the hot room, which offered an amazing sweat session and left me feeling less tense and well stretched from all the good blood flow. I'm so glad I started my Pilates journey here, and I definitely hope to return for more classes in the future!
