I am so grateful to have found this gem! I attend Gentle Yoga with DeeDee twice a week. When my daughter visits, she has a variety of classes that she can attend. The studio is full of great equipment in a space that is beautifully spirit centered and staffed by instructors who know how to carefully teach yoga. Life saver!

He quickly responded within hours and welcomed me. I arrived to a spacious, clean studio that had a warm feeling to it. Brenda, the instructor leading Saturday morning was excellent. Since it was my first time at the studio she took the time to talk with me before class to find out more about my practice, any restrictions I may have had and where I was from. She was extremely friendly and knowledgable-she really made me feel welcome. Her cueing was right on, she really made sure we were mindful of our alignment, had a great pace for flowing and kept the atmosphere light and joyful. All-in-all a great place to visit or practice regularly. It really helped my kick off my weekend right! Highly recommended.

Highly recommend!! I love this Club Pilates located in California, Maryland. Been a member here…read moresince 2020. All the instructors are very experienced and each brings a unique work out every time. No one work out is the same. The instructors are very helpful and will give you alternate moves if you have a problem with any certain body parts. My favorites are flow and center and balance. This is a great way to get yourself in shape and toned without much risk to injury. I usually take a 1.0 or 1.5 class. If the 1.5 is a little tough, you can adjust to your own fitness level and instructors are great at observing if you are struggling and will give you tips on adjusting the moves to meet your level so you can keep up. They will also give you more challenging options as well if you are able. There is never any pressure or embarrassment if you struggle. Unique thing about Club Pilates is it is good for all age ranges. I'd like to say I have a favorite instructor, but they are all excellent and each brings their own unique style to the table. I frequent Sherry, Kerry and Andrea's classes because they have timeslots that fit my schedule. Sherry's flow 1.0 class is one if my favorites. She works a little tai chi in at the end of each class and offers great stretching, strength training and helps you work those teeny little muscles you didn't know you had. I have pain in my lower back, but her class really improved my condition and I don't have the pain that I used to have when I sit down and stand up. I walk out of there feeling energized and stretched with a slight ache in my muscles --but the good kind that help you know you are toning and gaining strength. Andrea's classes are awesome. She is very skilled at ensuring you're applying the proper technique and excellent at communicating the moves. She keeps the lights on so she can see that you are applying proper form and working the correct muscles. Some people complain about the ceiling lights, but I appreciate them for the reason she is keeping them on. I just close my eyes when I'm laying down on the reformer table. Her instructions are so clear you don't need to watch her. I really appreciate her style because I feel it's important to ensure you're working the muscles as intended in her workouts. Kerry is another of my favorites. she makes her workouts fun. She's bubbly and funny. She too is great at communicating the moves and ensuring you are using the right form. Kerry really challenges me and I walk out of her class feeling awesome and too with a slight muscle ache that helps me know my workout was effective. I also feel really stretched and refreshed after her classes. Bottom line... Every instructor I've ever had at Club Pilates has been top-notch. you're always greeted with the smiling happy face when you arrive and you leave feeling great.

After doing a quick search, I found that Imagine Yoga & Wellness Center offered prenatal yoga classes during after work hours and it wasn't too far from home. Eureka! After my first prenatal yoga class with instructor Anu (who is also a mom!), I was hooked. I went consistently from the time I was four months until I gave birth at nine months pregnant. My yoga practice helped me with agility, stamina, flexibility, and breathing during labor and delivery. Even now postpartum, I am taking the slow flow yoga class to ease my way back into getting in shape. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem of a studio, where (quite literally) everyone knows your name. 5/5 Would come…read moreback!!! So many good things to say about this place - adorable studio spaces - awesome murals on the walls - super clean interior and really great instructors. My one comment was that during the restorative yoga class, the class that got out before in the other room came out and were chit chatting outside the door and while the door to the yoga room was closed, they were sill quite loud and even after the instructor asked them to be quiet, they not only kept their volume at the same level but didn't move away from the door. That is not a reflection on the studio but common courtesy notes that you should whisper when other classes are in session - I wonder if they need some signage as reminders? Other than that, the class was phenomenal. I was there on a day when there was a sun and I would never had known because Traci was AWESOME!! From her calm demeanor to her great narrative during the class and her hands on assistance - I was resorted, rejuvenated, and relaxed... If you are looking for an amazing class to replenish your day/week/life, I highly recommend a class with Traci or a restorative class. Thank you to the front desk staff too for the warm welcome and the tour!!!

However, the class hours often don't align with my schedule. (no big deal) However, my 6-year-old has been wanting to try yoga, so I decided to attempt to sign her up. As I walk toward the door I am greeted by patrons who have just finished a yoga class, which made me feel more optimistic about this studio. However, when I got inside things took a turn. There were a few ladies in line, who appeared to be making a purchase. (no big deal, I can wait my turn). Honestly, it felt more like friends chatting after a class and making a few purchases forgetting that there was a first-time customer in the store. Yet, I noticed that I was never greeted nor told I would be assisted shortly. In fact, the individual behind the counter didn't acknowledge me at all. Red flag #1. I continued to wait and once it was my turn I walked up and the individual once again did not look up to greet me. Red flag #2. She asked me if I was here to check in and I answered no I'm interested in signing my daughter up for a yoga class. We discuss the yoga class and she still has yet to make eye contact with me as her focus appears to be solely on the computer screen. At this point I'm annoyed. I give my information for the yoga class link, knowing at this moment I am not signing my daughter up for a class here. It was not until I asked what they do during the class and how much it costs did she look at me. Needless, to say this made for an uncomfortable, awkward, unprofessional, and unwelcoming experience. Based on my interaction it made me think how my daughter may be treated during her visit. The sole positive takeaway from this encounter was that the studio decor presents well, other than that I would pass. I received more customer service and friendliness from those who were leaving a class than those who worked at the studio. This has been a failed attempt to find a safe and relaxing space. To say the least, I am disappointed, but not shocked. By presenting my concerns, I offer a solution. I suggest your front desk staff take a DEI class as well as a customer service training course. Based on my experience, it appears to be needed.
