This market is pretty decent, but there is still room for improvement. The space is quite large and it appears that they plan on adding some more prepared food items soon. The cashiers speak Mandarin and sometimes you will hear Cantonese with the customers. Sometimes in the front of the store you can find fairly fresh packages of roast duck (1/2 for $9.50), which my Mom loves. She re-heats it in the toaster oven to make the skin crispy. I recommend calling head to make sure that they have it in stock because they sell out quickly. There is also Chinese baked goods from Orlando on the same fixture, since they are sealed in plastic they are still soft. In the back, there is soy sauce chicken that is made daily. The produce is not the freshest, but I come here specifically for the Snow Pea Leaves for under $2 a bag to stir fry with garlic. There are seafood tanks in the back of the market and the prices are fairly low. They will catch the clean the fish for you at no additional charge. I hope to try their sliced conch in the future. As far as a Chinese grocery in the area, this is the largest and the prices are decent. I hope that their business continues to grow and they can add more BBQ items. I definitely recommend coming here over Chung Ching because of the cleanliness factor.

This is my favorite market to go to when buying seafood the price is great, as well as the freshness and quantity of seafood I get for the price. I have even went 5 mins before closing and they were nice and eager to assist me. It's always very clean I definitely would recommend buying fresh seafood here, my favorite is the shrimp.

Great food and good prices. They also take COVID-19 very seriously and I feel like my safety is important here.

Worst customer service ever! We had a dispute about a rotten veggie, and I was extremely unsatisfied with their attitude. Do not recommend.

I love Russia and Russian food--in fact, I am involved in a lot of journalism and research…read moreregarding Russia, the post-Soviet sphere and related politics and business issues professionally. So the mere concept of Gainesville once again having a Russian grocery store was very exciting to me. However, while I admire their spirit, the store is very small and the inventory--at least for now--is rather limited. I worry that they won't make it because they have a much smaller inventory than the "Europe" grocery that occupied two local locations prior to apparently going under. While Russian Food--as this store is plainly named--has some non-Russian Slavic foods, it's mostly Russian. Moreover, it's lacking on some expected Eastern European goods like high-quality Hungarian paprika. Its strength is on Russian candies and other sweets and they have a good selection of Russian loose-leaf teas, too, though they were lacking a brand I really wanted. Still, they only opened I think a month or two ago and while their space is small, maybe they'll get more goods in soon. The tea and chocolate I bought was good, too: fresh, authentic, and tasty. I'll certainly go back.

The grocery offers most everything you'd want from a pan-Middle Eastern grocer: dry goods, teas, frozen food, fragrant waters, syrups, canned goods, et cetera. They also have a good selection of baklava and other treats by the front counter worth checking out: they get different sweets in sometimes--always baklava but sometimes also namoura cake and other things. When they have sari burma it's normally excellent, so look for that as well. They also have a good spice selection and try to include a lot of Turkish and Persian speciality items as well (this include Turkish frozen goods and yes, the pudding mixes also). The restaurant portion is a buffet and they have a hot bar and cold bar. The hot bar has traditional Egyptian foods and was very good when I tried it while the cold bar has things that could also be taken away like hummus, salads, and babaganoush. You can get the hot bar to-go as well, but having things like hummus is a big deal because you can purchase enough to have on hand for the week. I hope the restaurant continues to work out for them: buffets only make money if they have a lot of customers, so I really hope the community supports this fine establish and wonderful people who own and run it.

Very pretty place and environment .Very quiet and friendly. Not too expensive either.read more

I worked up my nerve to ask about a product that wasn't on the shelf, and she responded in Spanish, but immediately reverted to English, as if she were offended by my Spanish. So, if you are learning Spanish, practicing here, maybe isn't your best option. Little does she know I am a polyglot, so maybe next time I will just speak in Portuguese. She could have been friendlier like she was with the other Hispanic customers, just sayin'.

Out of respect to my grands the other customers I allowed him to yell and scream at me, why he was so angry I didn't know. No one (employees) tried to defuse the situation . I experienced a racist situation and it's so sad that my grands had to experience this type behavior in a grocery store. After reading the reviews the reason no one intervened because they don't really care for African Americans it so true but I never noticed I just got my produce and leave but they never greet the customer but talk among themselves, which I thought was rude. I've been going about 5 years or more. But I'm done, I use to eat at Mia apa I stopped because they acted like it was a crime for African American to dine in, I have never ordered another meal from them that's been about ten years ago. Wow
