If I could leave zero stars I would, my father bought a bike that was worked on there and it's had nothing but problems, found dirt, mud, grass and rust on the inside of the engine. The windshield does not fit right on it because different screws and grommets were used than original and it had messed up the fairing both inner and outer. This bike was supposed to be fixed at this dealership after an accident and it was not truly fixed it left a lot of problems and broken parts. I would never bring a bike there ever. read more

I called looking for an inspection cover for an older touring model bike. The man that answered asked after I gave him the part number "what is that" I told him again and he said that doesn't exist. I asked if I was speaking to the Parts department and he immediately started SCREAMING at me via phone call saying "IM THE OWNER AND IVE BEEN WORKING WITH BIKES 30 YEARS I KNOW EVERY PART ON A HARLEY AND THAT DOESNT EXIST" after screaming for a while more he hung up on me. An inspection cover is on bikes that don't have self adjusting chain tensioners. That way you could INSPECT the chain tensioner without removing the whole primary. If your OWNER screams at customers and knows this little about bikes then you don't care about Harleys or customer service. You treated me like garbage and I hope you lose business. Also-- it's super slimy to have all your employees post fake reviews on google to make your shop look better. read more

If your thinking of going to this place do your self a favor and go some place else. Their motor clothes dept is not a good one. Their choices in clothing are not good, the clothing has been around for a while and is not current. Plus every thing I looked at was covered in dog hair from the owners dog walking around. The dog walking around is not a problem, clean up the dog hair off of your products. The owner Stanley is a piece of work, he is rude and arrogant and in the middle of a sale he will turn and tell you that he is not selling you the bike anymore. Then he turns around and walks away from you. The worst thing about that is he is their head of sales, and one of their two sales men. Their parts dept doesn't place orders everyday so you end up waiting weeks for a part. When if you ordered it from another company you'd get it faster. Their service dept. Has one guy named Todd. Imagine one guy for a busy service dept.. You end up waiting weeks for a service that should have taken a day. We went in there to sit in some bikes to see what felt good and was a good fit. An older man who I'm Feuding is the owner. Walked over to tell us that we were sitting on too many bikes. That he has been doing this for 50 years and know when he sees a serious buyer or just "sitters" and that we shouldn't be sitting on bikes that are not even similar in style and that our shoe scuffed the leather on one of the big cruisers. Which is bull. Very unprofessional. We will not be going there when we are ready to buy. read more

Recently one of my grandsons turned 18 years old, I thought as a nice gift I would give him his grandmothers 1985 XLH that I bought her new in 1985. Now the story, my wife passed away a few years later and the bike with 3300 original miles was put into storage. The bike was professionally put up and remained undisturbed for 25 years. (The motorcycle did roll over so half the battle was won) I went to Eastern HD thinking this would be a relatively easy although not inexpensive project (battery, rebuild the carb, new tires, grease bearings, fluids and filters spark plugs hoses, and whatever small items needed to make it street worthy) plus all the related labor costs, but because of the bikes provenance I was more than willing to do it. The owner and his son told me the work would be more than the bike was worth, and I should abandon the notion, I tried to explain to them it wasn't about value it was about who owned it and keeping a little family history alive. They were unmoved and told me to bring it someplace else. At that point I had to ask if they were a real HD dealer or just someone who sold tee shirts, and do you have a mechanic here, or just a place to buy new motorcycles. In my 55 years experience with HD I have never seen such disinterest and unwillingness to help. Back in the day when each borough in NYC had a dealer, and each county on LI they were there to solve your problems, you could have brought them anything and and the response would have been leave it and well see what we can do. If you need a new scooter or need to repair one...do yourself a favor and go someplace else. And... As an addendum, the bike got done from a local shop, super work, for a super honest price. How many 18yos out there riding their grandmother's 35 yo motorcycle. I f**king love it. read more

I have to say maybe they have gotten better but Todd told me to bring it and he would update the radio. He did ask where i bought the bike. That should never mater. Under warranty. This is easily the worst Harley dealer of all time. Terrible service, they seem to despise(hate) their customers. I asked for a brochure, and was told I would have to pay $5 for a dealer brochure on the new bikes. When I had asked why, the owner told me that he had to buy the brochures from Harley so he was not willing to just give them away for free. CRAZY. High turn over rate for employees, the shop mechanics seem to be quite disgruntled also and the atmosphere of the entires dealership reeks from discontent. Everything seems to be a "problem". A very unhappy place. I stopped going there as a result of the ownerships negative attitude. How can selling Harley's be so bad that everyone there looks like they dislike the customers Toxic atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and go to some of the better customer oriented Harley dealers on Long Island. For example, Miracle mile Harley in great neck is the polar opposite of eastern Harley. Not reputable! I purchased here a year ago and was clearly told by my salesman (Mike), who is the son of the owner, that my first 1000 mile service was covered on them and that they do this for all of their new riders. Of course now that I'm ready to have my bike serviced they won't honor this and go on to tell me that they never have or never would even make that offer to anyone. My word is my bond but that is clearly not the mentality of the people that own and work at this dealership. I referred a Harley owner to Eastern Harley when he was in town. He needed what he thought was two sets of brake pads, one for front, one for rear. He is just a rider and not a mechanic. The "lady" behind the parts counter rudely informed him that his Street Glide had *three* sets of pads if he wanted to replace all of them. So he said "OK, give me three". Her attitude was not that of a retail employee of merit. Unbeknownst to them, my friend had ordered brake pads online and hadn't received them yet and we were changing his tires, so he decided to just buy them and keep them as spares. In the middle of the transaction, he changed his mind. He asked if he could just take one set because the rear was hardest to get to. Understand his card had already been charged. She lost it. Called the owner, Stanley, saying she had a problem. He stormed out of his office in a cloud of hair (dog) and after getting the situation, rather than just saying the right thing, he started verbally attacking my friend. He said "you don't even know how many brake shoes you need, now you want to return two of them" (loosely quoted), trying to make my buddy feel like an idiot in front of at least four or five other customers. At this point, my buddy said, OK, nevermind, Ill take all three. At that point, he loudly proclaimed that he would never set foot in that store again. Then the owner Stanley again loudly told him he didn't know what he needed (you're an idiot). At this point, I intervened and told Stanley that he should simply apologize and everything would be much better. He refused, and attacked me verbally "your buddy doesn't even know how many brake pads he needs" or some such. I have some advice for you reading this: NEVER SPEND a DIME there.
