The miserable lying…read moresellers, whom I do not wish well, had removed the tub drain so that only the shower could be used. When I took a bath, the reason became obvious: the tub drained into the living room. The large volume of water was too much for the leaking pipes. ARRRRRGGGGHHH. So I replaced the tub with a bigger, deeper tub, and hired Bad Plumber to install it. He claimed that he repaired the leaking pipe. That was a lie. I took a bath, and it leaked again. Bad Plumber said that he would fix it. He did not return. So I called Roto-Rooter, because they guarantee their work. And they're a well-known company. Mike showed up on time. Gave me an estimate. It wasn't too bad. THEN he claimed that he needed a helper to thread a pipe through the ceiling, and no I couldn't do it. The other guy was going to cost an additional $450. UGH. For HOLDING A PIPE. He also insisted on replacing the bath fixtures. More money. Smh. They were brand new. So Mike did fix the leak. Months later, it's still holding up. But...he didn't want to replace the Sheetrock he cut out of the living room ceiling. He was going to just leave me WITH A LARGE HOLE IN MY LIVING ROOM CEILING. I told him that was unacceptable. He told me he's not a "drywall guy." I insisted he replace it, and he did, begrudgingly. He removed three panels from the bathroom wall, and didn't replace them, because "he's not a carpenter." They're still loose, because I can't quite get them back in. He left the old pipes and debris LYING ON MY DECK AND THE GRASS. I guess he's "not a garbage man" either. I should not have to clean up after a "professional," but I did. So....plumbing work: Excellent. No complaints. Mess left behind, extra helper nonsense, and sulking over the ceiling: Poor.

Carine Chem-Dry is amazing!…read more My mother in law Judy with dementia came to stay with us a few weeks ago. We were on our way back from the Nova Constellatio Gallery and we needed to stop for some gas. She went inside and bought some sushi to eat on the way home. This story just goes downhill from here: About 20 minutes after getting home, Judy (in a terrible state of agnosia) mistakes our new leather sectional for a toilet and let loose with a volcanic avalanche of diarrhea all over our beautiful living room. My wife just happened to walk in while this was happening and began to violently vomit all over herself and our new cashmere carpet. I went downstairs to see what the commotion was and slipped on my wife's vomit and hit my head on the end table, knocking my self unconscious and bleeding all over the floor. While all this was happening, our sewer line backed up and all our toilets were overflowing with raw sewage which ran all the down the hallways of our beautiful mansion. As you can imagine, this was not a mess that any of us wanted to clean up. Also, being millionaires living in the Hamptons means we have a reputation to uphold. We couldn't just call anyone to clean up this mess. That's why we called Carine Chem dry. I can tell you that Jesus H Christ himself isn't capable of the miracles that this man worked. They were able to remove all the awful stains and smells that body fluids are known to leave behind. They were detailed, thorough and discreet. Our floors have never been this clean and I wouldn't trust anyone else to clean our house. They are worth every penny! In case any of you were wondering we sent Judy to live in a home for the elderly in Riverhead.

Mike responded immediately and was on-site the next day to assess the situation. His professionalism, transparency, and clear communication made it easy to move forward with confidence. Mike, Simon, and their team were outstanding from start to finish. They completed the water mitigation and mold remediation in just three days--impressive given the scope of the damage. The crew was highly skilled, respectful of our home, and extremely detail-oriented. They protected our belongings, kept the work areas contained, and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day. Communication was excellent throughout. Mike also provided prompt, detailed documentation for insurance, which made the claims process much smoother. While insurance approvals took time (outside their control), once cleared, the rebuild was completed in only three weeks--far faster than expected. Even minor finishing details were handled quickly and without issue. Prime Mold Removal exceeded our expectations across the board. If you're dealing with water damage, mold, or need reconstruction, I highly recommend them without hesitation.

Disrespect for personal property, stole a piece of jewelry, busted up a leg of a piano, piece disappeared, thought I wouldn't notice it being broken and missing. Promised it would be repaired, and although there were delays getting it fixed due to other personal issues, in the end it never got done, they just lied all along about repairing it. These clowns aren't professional and certainly aren't professional piano movers, and moved a piano around like it was just any other piece of furniture, by its legs rather than using dollys. You are made to feel in your own home that you have to walk on eggshells in how you speak, as these clowns take offense at any language you may use that they feel is personally directed at any one of them, completely misunderstanding you, yet they can perform shoddy workmanship. Electrical outlets were left open and put in crooked and left that way, or with the door molding or trim covering a third of an outlet, so the outlet is left open because they can't even cut the outlet cover for it, either before or after putting the molding up. Not applying a bead of caulking behind a bathroom backsplash not fully along the complete seam, leaving it uncaulked directly behind the faucet, and saying to your face it's ok to leave it like that!!! Just downright lazy and shoddy workmanship. You need to oversee their every move and watch where every cent of your money is going. Will argue with you about what you say was there before. Avoid the hassles and aggravation of dealing with these clowns, by simply not hiring them in the first place. And I agree with another reviewer that said her non moldy stuff was tossed along with moldy stuff that could have been saved and should have been separated correctly. During one of the most stressful times when the clean up crew come first to remove and make piles outside of the good(non moldy, salvegeable), and the bad(moldy), if your not watching every little thing, items will go missing and perfectly good and/or salvageable items will end up in the throw away piles. If you ask where's this or where's that, they will make light of it, not take it seriously because the bottom line for them is to get the job done as quickly as possible, so the restoration crew can come in and cut corners wherever they can, by doing shoddy work and buying the cheapest materials or reusing materials that they deem are good enough so they can line their pockets with more of your money and move on to the next sucker who makes the mistake of hiring them. Don't hire these amateurs who will lie to your face, be disrespectful to you and your personal property, be it sentimental or otherwise, and act like there doing you a favor by showing up.

Also, the cold water stopped working in my shower, making the shower unusable. I lost my husband this year and am never sure about what to do when things go wrong in the house, since I never had to address those problems in the past. I called 1-Tom and they made me feel completely confident about my choice. Right from the start, I liked the fact that they answered the phone and I didn't have to keep pushing buttons to get to the right person. I was told that they stood behind all their work and they would make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. Before Alex came to my home, I received a photo of him. He was confident and friendly and I immediately felt I was in good hands. Originally it looked like it was going to be a bad situation with the toilet and that the floor might have to be torn up. Alex showed me what the problem was and I could now see why the toilet couldn't be installed correctly in the first place. Alex called his boss and discussed what needed to be done. He was able to do it without damaging the floor, which was a huge relief. I trusted that 1-Tom did the best job possible for me while avoiding major repairs. I would definitely use their services again and recommend them to my friends.

Pricing was also good and very reasonable. Would definitely recommend them and also use them again going forward.

My friend told me to search online and so I did. I found this company which has great ratings and reviews, yet I was still a bit skeptical from previous experiences with different companies. However, I decided to give it a try and I truly think it was the smartest decision I made in a while!!! Not only that they were super professional, but they were also very patient and friendly and knew how to deal with my crazy frustrated attitude which really surprised me. They literally guided me step by step, whats happening and how to deal with everything in the mean time. They sent a very knowledgeable technician in no time and he knew right away what needs to be done. It's crazy to say that not only that everything is fixed it even looks cleaner and better than before. I'm usually a critic but I think for the first time there's nothing bad I can say about the service I was provided. They really made me feel like the whole company from the person who answered to the technician who came to my house was built and personalized to me and my situation. Although, this kind of service and feeling is priceless, and I would gladly pay whatever they would ask for, yet they were still very fairly priced, and I would strongly recommend them to everyone that should need this kind of service, and will call them again if needed with no hesitation!!!
