PatchitUP Of Nassau County - Plaster and Drywall repair

PatchitUP Of Nassau County

After attempting for over two weeks to reach the owner, I was only afforded a second opportunity to…read morespeak with an employee -- and that conversation was short-lived, to say the least. I was informed that staff had been instructed to immediately hang up if I called. That directive, I was told, came directly from the founder and principal owner, Peter K. Other than my conversations with Haley, this has been the worst professional experience of my life. This project was supposed to be completed on January 19, yet I am still dealing with the consequences of what was presented to me as finished work. Much of what was described as "nearly complete" has since had to be removed and repaired properly. Systems that should never have failed did -- including a thermostat that burned out as a result of the work performed. The financial overhang this has created is substantial and entirely avoidable. Beyond the fact that most of the workmanship had to be repaired again -- and was largely substandard -- I discovered a piece of white flex tape being used to hold part of a wall together. That is not a professional repair. That is a temporary patch presented as completed construction. When structural or finish elements are being secured with tape instead of proper materials and methods, it raises serious concerns about competence and safety. The issue here is not just poor workmanship. It is the refusal to communicate, the dismissal of legitimate concerns, and the deliberate avoidance of accountability. When a company accepts significant payment for skilled labor, it assumes the responsibility to complete the work properly and to stand behind it. I am documenting this to ensure transparency and to provide an accurate account of what occurred. Consumers deserve professionalism, safety, and basic respect.

However, customers should be careful when dealing with the company. During the estimate, we asked about installing access panels for most openings. The estimator advised that they were largely unnecessary and suggested that only the main water valve might need one. Based on that discussion, we understood that a single access panel would be included. While it was our mistake not to review the contract more carefully before signing, the process was confusing. We signed on an iPad on Tuesday without being given an opportunity to review the detailed terms and did not receive a copy of the contract until Friday, after speaking with a manager. Before work began on Wednesday morning, we texted the company to confirm the access panel and were told the message had been forwarded to the technician. At no point were we informed that the access panel was not included, although the company later offered to install one for an additional charge. What was disappointing was that, whenever there was ambiguity, the company seemed to interpret it in its own favor rather than seeking a fair resolution. Overall, the workmanship was excellent, but the communication, contract process, and customer service were disappointing.

Wonderful work, great guys, they cleaned up after themselves amazingly and the price was excellent! I'm so happy we did this and can't wait to see how much better this house will be at retaining the cold/heat moving forward. We had no insulation in most of the house. Daniel, Branley and their team were amazing, so friendly and they explained everything to me in great detail. Highly recommended

Louis, his son , Vinny, and the crew completely transformed the house in just 1.5 days--insulating everything from the walls to the rim joists and crawl space. Louis came by to look at my house, used thermal imaging and brought pictures to show me what to expect. Very thorough, knowledgable, trustworthy and truly helpful. Honestly, I was a little anxious about them drilling into the mortar of our brick exterior, but decided to trust the process. Their work is seamless. I can't even see where the holes were! They left the house spotless, can't even tell they were here. We felt the comfort levels improve immediately. Highly recommend this team if you want honest, expert work from people who actually respect your home and know what they're doing!

Triple H Insulation

My reason for bringing Triple H in was the 3 bedrooms we use that myself and my children sleep in…read morewere freezing at night. I knew the insulation in my attic was a mess and antiquated as my house was built around 1970(average for Long Island). One of my children's bedroom is over my two car garage and I had no idea what type(if any) of insulation was in the ceiling of the garage, under my daughters bedroom. My home is a splanch so I also have a half bathroom in the rear of the house, off the kitchen which was also always very cold but less worrisome since nobody slept in it. Chris and Kyle came in to do an audit, they are were professional, honest and efficient . They quickly identified the spots I mentioned and found even more spots where they can make a huge difference. We sat down and went over the options financially, how long it would take, if there would be holes in the Sheetrock etc. There was never any pressure and they answered all our questions professionally. He assured us that beside the garage, there would be no holes anywhere (in the garage they would spackle all the holes so all I had to do was touch up )and all the rest of the work would be from the outside and the attic. I have twin 2.5 year olds so timing was important, they promised me it would take 2 days max and they would even do one day on a Saturday to help us out. Install day came and they delivered everything they promised, and more! Their crew was professional, timely, efficient and left the place as clean as it was when they entered. To top it off, Chris and Kyle sent two crews to my house so they were able to get the job done in 1 full day. Chris and Kyle also personally stopped by to make sure the job was going smoothly. We then could not wait to see if we would "feel the difference". It took one night for us to discover the result was even better then we imagined. My master bedroom, which I had spent the prior 3 years(since I owned the house) freezing in at night in the winter, was actually so warm that I woke up in the middle of the night sweating and had to remove my shirt. Since then, my wife and I have been running the ceiling fan all night (even when It was 3 degrees outside with the windchill). We were used to going into my daughters room when she woke up, and feeling the cold. On most nights the thermometer in her room would read 63/64degrees, even though the thermostat in the hallway was set at and reading 70 degrees. Well we opened the door and couldn't believe it, it was warm!!!!! The thermometer was actually reading 72 degrees. We truly recommend Chris, Kyle and everybody at Triple H. They did an amazing job and highly recommend them!

Brian came in with a Health Homes booklet chock full of things that could be done. He then identified key areas that need insulation. He found areas that no one else did. I was sold. He told me about the PSEG programs he could get for me. than I asked him about NYSERDA because I was confused about the programs as I called from NYSERDA. Brian the looked at me and said "I think you're trying to play both sides". I was shocked, both sides of what. He seemed angry about NYSERDA so I called and put them on hold, waiting for Brian to contact me again about PSEG. When When Brian left he assured me he could get me in the PSEG program and to give him a couple of weeks. After a month I called him and he hadn't don't anything, he said "oh I remember you, the PSEG stuff". He said he would contact be back. He never did. this time I called the office hoping to speak to Jill but the woman that answered said she would give Brian the message. I never heard from Brian again, I have NYSERDA still waiting and this company was a huge waste of time. So today October 13, I received a text from Crystal about a recent (December) visit with your Comfort Consultant to discuss insulation and how the visit went. She even asked if I'd like to move forward. How exactly was I supposed to to that when your Home Comfort Consultant abandoned my proposal and did nothing but get angry over the various programs. The guy is a nutcase. And now I am angered that I get a random text from a company that did not follow through on sh*t. Take my advice and and don't let Brian through your door...

Everything was about, "you've got to sign by tomorrow or you'll lose this great price". It wasn't a great price. According to him It was supposed to cost $6800 but if I had less than a certain income then it miraculously dropped to $3500 to do various insulations around the house, about half a day's work. The way the proposal was written it sounded very involved, but it was essentially insulating the attic and caulking around the house. That's a ton of money for that work. He then called me constantly, pushing for me to sign. When I finally told him I don't react well to these kind of deadlines he said "have a nice day" and hung up. This company is preying on people who don't know pricing and fall for their sales pitch.
