When it was time to pick our flooring, my husband and I went looking for a floor in our given price range. We went to Home Depot and Floor and Decor and picked out flooring that we liked. Alexis kept telling us that she had a place for us to pick out flooring and kept avoiding talking about flooring we like from other companies. Since we were into the project for approximately 8 months already due to COVID, we decided to go with her contact. We wound up picking a floor with their contact, but we're concerned about how thin the flooring was since it was going over tile that was under our original pergo We were told not to worry about it and that they would make sure that everything was done right. About a month after install, the floor started buckling. We callEd All Island to ask Jay, the owner to come take a look at the floor. He said it would cost us $7,000 to redo the floor. We explained that we had reservations about putting this thin floor in, given our circumstances and that Alexis assured us that it would be fine and they'd take care of it. Jay told us flat out that he would replace it for another $7,000. Since then the floor has been separating in many places and even sticking up. We cut our feet on it and my husband had to tape it down. Since we only looked at samples and don't know the company they got this floor from, we have no warranty on it and have to redo the entire floor ( in four rooms of my home) costing us $9,000 more only four years later. The reason we waited these few years was because we knew it was going to cost a lot to redo this floor. Now we are in the process of getting it done right at a big cost. Home Depot professions said they don't even sell less than 8mm thick flooring, but All Island installed 5mm even after our concerns. I have many pictures of this disaster. When Jay visited us, he went around our kitchen kicking the planks to close up multiple gaps. The flooring was a big part of this disaster, but there is way more that happened with the crew that was working on our project. Paint splatter on our brand new windows and screens, holes left in corners of the room, kitchen cabinet handles screwed in crooked, grout started falling out of the backsplash tiles, and I could go on. Wish they would have done right by us.

Plus, since Covid, we hadn't had our house professionally cleaned. It was long overdue. The crew did a really excellent job of getting this place thoroughly clean. I can even say that it was absolutely the best cleaning we've EVER gotten from a company. I am a disabled Veteran, and cleaning this house on my own is just impossible. They accommodated us last minute which was VERY appreciated, and they really did an amazing job of cleaning. That being said, there were a few major points that were less than satisfactory. First, I had to put several things back in order. The upstairs bathroom shower curtain had a few hooks hanging off of the pole, area rugs out of place, but mainly, the living room. The furniture was moved around for cleaning and not put back even close to what it should look like. For example, the coffee table was all the way to the fireplace, nearly 5 ft away from the couch, where it lives, the chairs and end tables were also very out of place. I had to push everything back into place myself. As I said, I am a disabled Veteran, and this was more than an inconvenience. While I appreciate them moving everything, and while i do expect things to be slightly out of order, this was EXTREMELY out of place. Additionally, a cat toy had gotten sucked into the vacuum pole and the lady began banging the metal pole on our newly refinished hardwood floors. Thankfully, my husband heard them, stopped them, and grabbed a needle nose pliers to remove the toy. No damage done to the floor. Finally, and this one is the biggest deal really - there are scratches on our brand new black stainless steel refrigerator! UGH!!!! I do wish I had taken pictures of everything, but I didn't see it as a huge deal... until I saw the scratches. I've attached a pic of that (as best as I could get with a cell phone and flash on reflective material). There is a dent on the frig (which we did in the first month of ownership), but you can tell from the pics, there are no scratches anywhere.... accept for the corner, left by the cleaning service. They must've hit the side of the frig, when moving the bread maker or knife set located on the side counter. Overall, they were too aggressive with my things. I contacted the company immediately, and while I did receive a response, they've done nothing to try and repair it or cover damages. I have contacted them twice, with no resolve, and no answer. It's a shame, because they truly would've been our forever company, for both my house as well as my sisters, had they done something to help fix this.

Hired them for a one room deep cleaning. My kitchen. 2 Spanish speaking…read moreladies were dropped off. The supervisor came in and gave them directions on what they were suppose to and not do. Then she left. Picked them up 2hrs later. Paid $160. Gave them a tip. Well, I guess I should have inspected the job but when they were picked up by the supervisor she had them out the door real fast. I asked to have my kitchen floor steamed cleaned. Supervisor said they used sponges instead. Really? I asked them to clean my ceiling fan and somehow the light bulb was removed and sitting on my table. I had to replace it. They were told to wipe down the outside of fridge but not to touch the inside. When I opened the fridge door, they left a filthy rag in there. Yes, they come with old dirty rags. I was so grossed out. The worst part-they broke my faucet and didn't tell me. They left the broken pc by my soap dish. Mike said he'd come fix it. He didn't. Now I have to replace the faucet and pay a plumber to it. The cleaning solution they used was fabuloso. The stuff stinks. They even wiped out my glass pitcher with it. Who does that? I put it right into the dishwasher. Never ever again will these people enter my house in the future. NEVER!!

I almost didn't call them!!!…read more I needed to replace my old back porch which was falling apart. So when I saw "Always Affordable Chimney" in Yelp, I thought, "Hmm, don't need a chimney right now". Luckily, I scrolled down, saw their other services and their high Yelp rating, so I gave them a call. Besides my back porch that needed replacement, I was also becoming concerned about a crack in the concrete base of my home's southeast corner that was growing larger over the years. When Tommy and his guys came down to give me a quote for the back porch, I asked him about the crack in the concrete wall. He said he needed to take a closer look. After moving everything away from the wall you could clearly see that the southeast corner of my house was sinking into the ground. So they dug around the outside corner of my house to get an even better look and said that the foundation on that end of the house which was actually an addition had failed, causing the sinking. So guess what? "Always Affordable Chimney" replaces "House Foundations" as well. And they're affordable!!! So my review is that whatever your brick or concrete or masonry needs are, give "Always Affordable Chimney" a call. You won't regret it!!!

Her team tackled every nook and cranny of a 40-foot trailer. Dust was caked on above the furniture, and the vent covers had years of grime on them -- now they're sparkling. They even cleaned inside the air vents themselves. It was not an easy job, but they took it on without hesitation and did a fantastic job. Everything was relatively fine during my restoration of water damage due to ice dam build up in my…read moreden, no complaints there. As part of the process a piece of my gutter was removed, fine. When reaching out to Mike to ask about the gutter being put back on, all of a sudden he became hard to reach and stopped answering texts. (It's worth nothing that at this point he had been paid by both me and homeowners insurance). Finally when we bothered him enough he responded with several long texts explaining that his company cannot put the gutter back on, the gutter isn't salvageable, they are not experts, the cost "should be minimal" for someone else to do it, etc. Ultimately I had to have a roofer come put it on who was shocked that Magic left my gutter in pieces on the ground, and said he actually had to repair damages that they made by tearing the gutter off the house improperly. It cost me $275, is that minimal? If you go with this company just make sure they don't leave any loose ends because once they are paid they are DONE with you.
