We planned (purchased tickets for specific date and time) for this adventure prior to heading out on vacation. This is recommended especially during high season. We did the 2.5 hour slot canyon repelling tour. The team working at Roam Adventures could not have been nicer - from the lady who checked us in to our assigned guides. We had Jackson and Coleman as guides and they drove us to the base of where Ladder Canyon dumps you out. Then we hiked up to the top of the canyon. The hike alone was a fun adventure! We had a 5 and a half year old with us and the guides made sure to stop often during the hike so we could all catch our breath. Jackson and Coleman were so patient with all of us and kept an extra eye on our little one. They provided clear instructions and always asked if we had questions. Then, when each person would pass through a difficult area or repel, they would be sure we understood what to do, individually. Such attention to detail! I can't recommend this adventure enough - I hope if you do this, you get Jackson and/or Coleman. Great guides who provide a safe yet adrenaline-packed fun! read more

Signed up for the SWAT shooting experience, it was great. Got to right in a cool tank trac ATV through some deep muddy roads, fun. The instructors were great. Very knowledgeable , super nice guys. Good with the kids, and answered all our questions. I liked the selection of guns we got to shoot. Unfortunately some of the shooting areas were closed due to weather. But over all we got to shoot a cool variety of guns. I would do this experience again. read more

This experience was challenging but incredible!! We did the full day tour and it was technical, fun, and totally worth it! I'm a total newbie at this, I've indoor climbed before and that was challenging so I definitely struggled a few times over the day, but overall this was an awesome experience! My guy had a blast too and is much more confident in these types of situations so he did great. I'm proud I finished the day, even with my struggles. In retrospect it's easy to see the problem, I was scared my body couldn't do it but it did! Have confidence that you can do it and remember there is only one rule: don't let go of the rope! Brent and Tanner were our awesome guides for our full day tour. Super experienced in this field of play so they were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful as needed - all the things! We had a great day and know it wouldn't have been possible without them. I got into a pickle in one of the rappels and while Tanner wanted to help from the top I knew he couldn't, but his instinct was to try which I appreciated. Brent secured the end of my rope incase I fell and that gave me all I needed to figure out how to correct my body in the right position; with Brent's guidance of course from down below. It was scary but it was also only half way through and didn't make me think that was it. We finished out the day and felt like a rockstar at the end of it all. The slot canyons, downclimbing, and UTV ride was awesome! Super fun way to spend the day exploring this beautiful part of the country, thank you! This was one of the funnest tours I've ever done. It was even more awesome that it was just the four of us, so there was no pressure, or rush for anything. We spent a leisurely day in the canyons at our pace. It was incredible, photos don't do it justice. If you are considering something like this I recommend this place in Orderville. It was called The Escape on Airbnb, Micah & Jules are the owners, and it's an incredible compound of adventure. This was such a fun experience! Shout out to Tony for being an awesome guide for our group. We did the 2-hour group UTV tour through two different slot canyons. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather! The sun was out and there was a cool breeze. Inside the slot canyons were very cold, which we weren't expecting, but we brought some layers to bundle up and had an amazing time. Besides our group and one or two other groups we passed, we basically had both slot canyons completely to ourselves! We were able to learn a lot about the history of area and the wildlife and plants via some trivia with Tony. We learned so much about slot canyons as well, and had the opportunity to have the most gorgeous photos taken of us from inside the canyons - he knew all the perfect spots to get our pictures taken. The length of the tour was the perfect amount of time, we never felt rushed, and we had such a lovely group. This is the perfect experience to do if you are wanting to explore some of the desert of Utah and see some beautiful sites that are off the beaten path. I was debating to sign up for the canyoneering since we have my 4 yr-old daughter might be sacred. Turned out it is totally cool and fun experience roping down the canyon. My son 9 yr-old said that was the best thing ever and my daughter 4 loved it too and did it all by herself. Our guide Hunter was super friendly and patient with kids, so both my little ones are comfortable going down the canyon. We did the 2 hours tour. All of us were outside of our comfort zone at first but Rob took everything in stride and was especially patient with the littles. Best off road tour we have ever had. Rob was friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed before heading out. We were on the low impact tour, so they drove us right to the entrance of the slot canyons. They are knowledgeable about the surrounding area and the history of the canyons. Definitely was one of the highlights of our trip to Zion. We were a group of three families (six adults and 5 kids). 'Tony' took our offspring in one ATV and "Kade" drove the grown-ups in their "limo". It was a fun ride with lots of interesting stories, informative guides and stunning caverns. I never felt worried if the kids were OK with Tony (who seemed to be a pretty seasoned guide). Looking at some of these other reviews, I wish we had booked more experiences with them on top of the two hour tour. But glad we found them regardless. If you're traveling with little ones, just a stone's throw away from this place (pun intended) is a gemstone/rock store where you can also get treats! The kids (two of which who are obsessed with any sort of geological trinkets) were pretty pleased at this post ride stop. read more

We did the 4-hour UTV/Rappelling Slot Canyon Tour and it was freakin' amazing! Rob was an amazing guide and we had a total blast!! We hadn't ever done any rappelling before but Rob was a great teacher and we were super into it by the end (and definitely wanna come back and to more/harder rappels!). They had to change our tour time by a half hour because they were so busy, so they called about a week or 2 in advance about it, but it ended up working out great since we ended up just the 2 of us and our guide Rob! The headquarters has a bathroom, a small fridge with some drinks for sale, and a bunch of cool merch for sale. You get there and sign waivers (if you didn't fill them out online already) and then get a bit of gear harnessed up on you plus a helmet. You want to leave most things in the car and only really take some water (though Rob also brought a bottle of cold water for each person), camera/phone, sunglasses, and maybe a hat (though you're wearing the helmet the whole time). No bathrooms on the trail (except some trees toward the beginning, so go before you go! The UTV trip out to the hike and canyons was bouncy and fun and pretty. The initial hike wasn't super long but it was somewhat steep up some hills, mostly rock and sand, so maybe a little slippery at times, but not bad at all and definitely no scrambling or anything difficult. Then you have a bunch of rappels of different heights and hiking in the slot canyons and there some scrambling over or under boulders or shimmying through narrow areas. Rock climbing experience is definitely not needed and only a small amount of coordination is really needed! After the last rappel we walked out of the canyon and was right back at the UTV! The short drive back to base was like the drive going out and when we got back we took off the helmets and harnesses and that was it! Rob mentioned they also run some local airbnb locations which sounded cool and if we book there (or another trip with EZE) then we'd get a discount if we told them we already did a trip with them. He also recommended Archie's food truck right next door and their food was indeed great (see my review of that for more info!). read more

This experience was definitely one for the books! The tour guides were all so friendly (shout out to Garrett and Rob, y'all fun!!) The tour feels really intimate since we were a smaller group and had the time/freedom to take in the canyons whenever we were left in awe. This four hour excursion includes a short Indian Jones style UTV ride, short and steep hike, and a variety of rappelling/canyoneering conditions. Nothing we accomplished was actually difficult, although when you're in the moment, everything feels a little too high and a little too small to overcome. Trust, you'll be able to do it!! The guides will walk you through how to maneuver the canyons, and in areas that required more time, we never actually felt rushed. Highly highly recommend! read more

We had a blast with EZE during our Utah road trip! I had no idea if I was going to be able to do this due to an extreme fear of heights, but Ted was amazing and everyone in my group tackled each repel without any issues. I must have called this place six times leading up to this trip to ask Lexi if people with a fear of heights get through this, and each time she was super sweet and reassuring. Ted was personable and made us feel like we have known him our entire lives. He was also accommodating to my "less in shape" husband and son who took a little longer making it up the hill to the first drop. The canyon was gorgeous, and Ted took some amazing pictures for us! We only got three repels in at this site, and at first I was relieved about that, but after the second repel we were all wishing we could do more and see more. Our experience was only about three hours from start to finish, so don't get the "four hours" idea set in stone because depending on which canyon you go to, or how many people are ahead of you, it may take less time. We were the last group to leave and went to a different canyon to allow for less crowds, that was nice...but I still wish it was longer!
