The staff couldn't be more friendly. I was visiting from out of town, and bought a guest pass. Best decision I made all day.

Though I've seen a cardio sign up board at the East Side Y, I've gone at various times of day and never had to wait to get on cardio equipment.

It is posted to "not record" but apparently people don't care. True story I was doing curls in the mirror and two bros came up next to me, one on each side. They started to tape one another as well as myself because I was sandwiched between them. After one bro was done with his set he requested to view the video from the other bro. " dude you didn't get my traps at the peak, you gotta get them at the peak". This kind of behavior is invasive to anyone who doesn't want to be video taped. The equipment is top notch. Best around in my opinion, but it's so squished together that smashing your knees and elbows into equipment is a common theme. More importantly the bathroom doors have been broken in the men's for for years. Come on guys, it's an easy fix. The staff is super friendly and the place is clean. Lastly, the snow removal is a joke. Shovel a path into the gym from the side lot, it only takes a few minutes.

However, what we learned is there were no benefits to adding family members to the current membership. The price is the same, each family member pays the same price for gym maintenance, so no break there. Each family member is bound by their own separate contract, so no transferring benefits among family members. Lastly, if one of the family members needs to cancel their contract, you have to buy out the remaining contract and it can not be transferred to another family member without a fee. Ultimately, do not get fooled, there is NO benefit to adding a family member. Norton Mgr. Tyler is not helpful or customer oriented. BTW - we pay an annual fee for maintenance and on any given day there are at least 5-6 machines out of service.

Now my fiancé and I wanted to get in shape for our wedding next year and we knew we had to start now. I chose PE fitness studio because it had the ambiance I wanted, a comfortable setting to work out that was a typical gym. They host small group classes and one on ones, so you won't catch some creep in a machine in the corner slowly moving while staring at you. Perfect. Not looking to go to a gym. I need someone to motivate me to not quit and just sit there. Laurel suggested we start with 20 half hour sessions with me and my fiancé. I couldn't commit so I agreed on 15 but will definitely be buying more. She motivates me by chatting me up about my favorite topics to get me forget about the agonizing pain in my butt as I squat across the room. You think 30 mins isn't a lot, but when you mix in cardio and the deathly push ups, trust me, it is. Laurel is a sweetheart and doesn't let me quit! The other day she threatened me with burpees if I tried to cheat on my across the room squats, aka I ran halfway across the room when she wasn't looking! Laurel is a sweetheart and soooooo flexible with scheduling. I 100% suggest one on one training with her. It's pricier than a gym but let's be honest, you weren't going to the gym. You're less likely to cancel when you have a wonderful sweet woman waiting on you!!! Did I mention she has an adorable pit bull puppy and she texts me photos of him all the time??? Because she does! She also checks in the next day to see how you're doing. This warm renovated mill Is the best place to force yourself to do something that we all know I 100% don't want to do! Join join join!!!!! The conduct of the owner at this facility reflects a pattern of unprofessional, hostile, and…read morenegligent behavior that appears to be in direct conflict with the operational standards, member service obligations, and brand expectations associated with the Anytime Fitness franchise system. Anytime Fitness markets itself as a safe, supportive, and community-based environment. Many members--including teenagers and young adults--utilize the gym as a constructive outlet for mental clarity, personal discipline, and healthy routines. A facility of this nature carries an implicit responsibility to maintain professionalism, neutrality, and respect toward all paying members. Instead, the owner's behavior has created an environment that is increasingly confrontational, poorly managed, and damaging to the Anytime Fitness name. The following issues are ongoing and well-documented among members: * Repeated rude, dismissive, and hostile interactions with members, inconsistent with any reasonable standard of customer service. * Failure to return calls or respond to member complaints, while continuing to charge dues, raising concerns of improper business practice. * Public and inappropriate social media commentary, including insinuations involving children and steroid use. Such statements are reckless, inflammatory, and potentially defamatory, and they expose the franchise and brand to reputational risk. * Arbitrary removal or expulsion of members without transparent policy justification, creating an atmosphere of intimidation rather than support. * Unacceptable cleanliness and maintenance conditions, implicating health and safety expectations required of a fitness facility. * Lack of consistent ownership presence or managerial oversight, leaving members without accountability or appropriate operational supervision. This pattern of conduct constitutes, at minimum, a serious deviation from the standards expected of an Anytime Fitness franchisee and threatens the goodwill and public trust associated with the brand. Corporate has an obligation to ensure franchise locations operate in a manner consistent with Anytime Fitness policies and member safety expectations. Failure to address these issues promptly risks further reputational harm not only to this location, but to the franchise system as a whole. Additionally, it is important to note that these concerns are not isolated. A deeper review will reveal that multiple complaints have been raised not only by members, but also through town-level channels and public records. What is particularly troubling is that when members attempt to seek assistance or file complaints through the appropriate avenues, the matter is routinely redirected back to the franchise owner herself. This creates an obvious conflict of interest and effectively eliminates any meaningful opportunity for resolution. Members are left with no practical recourse when the individual responsible for the misconduct is also the sole point of contact for addressing it. In many cases, communications are either ignored entirely or met with dismissive and unprofessional responses. As a result, even attempts to report concerns anonymously feel futile, as all complaints ultimately route back to the same source. This undermines member trust and raises serious questions about accountability and franchise oversight. This gym is located in Burrillville RI

I was very specific about the techniques and cut I wanted and was assured they could handle it. When I arrived, I was told my appointment had been switched to a "more experienced" stylist. Her previous client was unhappy with her color, so instead of focusing on my appointment, the stylist kept going back and forth, working on that client's color while also cutting my hair. She completely ignored me, barely consulted with me, and kept insisting the haircut I wanted "wasn't that hard," as if I was making a big deal over nothing. The result was a terrible haircut that was not what I asked for at all. At first I thought I might be overreacting and tried to give it time, but months later my hair is still completely messed up and uneven from that cut. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially before such an important event. Terrible customer service and I would not return or recommend this salon

Poor Experience - Unacceptable Customer Service…read more The massage itself was good, but everything that followed completely overshadowed the experience. After my service, I paid with a $150 gift card at the front desk. The employee, Jane, ran the gift card multiple times and even said "third time's a charm," then told me I was all set to go. Based on that, I left. Shortly after, I received a call saying there was supposedly only $10 on the gift card. I explained that the card was for $150 and that I had been told I was all set after it was rung in multiple times. I answered the call and also called back to try to resolve the issue responsibly. The general manager, Samantha Goy, called me. Unfortunately, the conversation was extremely unprofessional. She was rude, aggressive, and would not allow me to speak. When I reminded her that I was the customer and was trying to explain what happened, she responded, "That's not how this works." Despite explaining that:    *   I was told I was all set and cleared to leave    *   I did not knowingly leave without paying    *   I had already contacted corporate by phone and email with no response Samantha Goy accused me of nonpayment, claimed I left without paying, and threatened to file a theft charge with the police if I did not immediately pay--while they still have possession of my $150 gift card. I repeatedly stated that I would never intentionally leave without paying and that I was actively trying to resolve the situation through corporate channels before settling any remaining balance. None of this was acknowledged. When I asked to speak with her manager, Sean, I was told he would not speak to me. This interaction was demeaning, hostile, and completely unnecessary. A simple billing issue caused by staff error should never escalate into accusations and threats. I am beyond upset by how this was handled and expected far better professionalism from a business of this caliber. So disappointing.

I had only a couple of bad experiences like being told by an instructor that I cannot wear my noise canceling earbuds. I was so overwhelmed because i was called out that I ran out in tears. I was brave enough to speak to a trainer who I worked with briefly and they helped me greatly in letting me know the actual rules here. Trainers are very kind and will help! Be mindful that regular X classes are instructors not employed directly by the edgy gym and don't always follow protocol or get a bit power hungry? Or set up their own rules I guess. The trainers who work at the gym and are way more helpful and will find ways to help you in any aspect. Be brave enough to ask!
