I enjoyed this facility. It was my first time. Coming from a commercial gym of the purple and gold, this is like a luxury spa. I believe in the near future my group is planning to make a switch with a fam account. So walking in you have a nice concierges who check in your member and or guest. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. My brother has a membership and brought me to the second floor. They had all the equipment you'd probably need we did leg day. Lotta cables, smiths, assisted. Saw the basketball court (didn't see the pool) went to third floor checked out the spin cycle room and yoga studio. Went to the turf area for push sled and squat racks. Def has everything for the most part. Would come back again. Very spacious. Some of the machines seem to have quite a bit of years on them but as long as they work, it's all good. The locker rooms were huge, hot tub sauna and steam shower at this location, no cold baths that i saw. I think with the different tier solo and fam plans plus access to pool, hoops and unlimited classes, it makes sense it's cost, just wish it was lower like in some other markets (states) haha. In August, before my sister's wedding, I booked an appointment at this salon based on a friend's recommendation. I was very specific about the techniques and cut I wanted and was assured they could handle it. When I arrived, I was told my appointment had been switched to a "more experienced" stylist. Her previous client was unhappy with her color, so instead of focusing on my appointment, the stylist kept going back and forth, working on that client's color while also cutting my hair. She completely ignored me, barely consulted with me, and kept insisting the haircut I wanted "wasn't that hard," as if I was making a big deal over nothing. The result was a terrible haircut that was not what I asked for at all. At first I thought I might be overreacting and tried to give it time, but months later my hair is still completely messed up and uneven from that cut. Poor Experience - Unacceptable Customer Service The massage itself was good, but everything that followed completely overshadowed the experience. After my service, I paid with a $150 gift card at the front desk. The employee, Jane, ran the gift card multiple times and even said "third time's a charm," then told me I was all set to go. Based on that, I left. Shortly after, I received a call saying there was supposedly only $10 on the gift card. I explained that the card was for $150 and that I had been told I was all set after it was rung in multiple times. I answered the call and also called back to try to resolve the issue responsibly. The general manager, Samantha Goy, called me. Unfortunately, the conversation was extremely unprofessional. She was rude, aggressive, and would not allow me to speak. When I reminded her that I was the customer and was trying to explain what happened, she responded, "That's not how this works." Despite explaining that:    *   I was told I was all set and cleared to leave    *   I did not knowingly leave without paying    *   I had already contacted corporate by phone and email with no response Samantha Goy accused me of nonpayment, claimed I left without paying, and threatened to file a theft charge with the police if I did not immediately pay--while they still have possession of my $150 gift card. I repeatedly stated that I would never intentionally leave without paying and that I was actively trying to resolve the situation through corporate channels before settling any remaining balance. None of this was acknowledged. When I asked to speak with her manager, Sean, I was told he would not speak to me. This interaction was demeaning, hostile, and completely unnecessary. A simple billing issue caused by staff error should never escalate into accusations and threats. I am beyond upset by how this was handled and expected far better professionalism from a business of this caliber. So disappointing. read more

There is absolutely nothing special about this place. They raise the membership rates approx 18%/year with zero improvements ever. If you're someone who works out after work and on the weekends it's like being on a subway at rush hour. We were members for almost 5 years and I genuinely don't know what they do with their money because nothing ever improves. Don't waste your money. read more

State of the art facilities, the top of the line feel and you will walk away amazed. My fraternity brother swung by to check in since he knew that I was working out there and compared to another location, he thought that this one was the best. I didn't have the comparison but compared to other gyms this would be in my tops, all time. The full size basketball court even had pickleball courts right next door. The patrons were friendly and the showers were spacious. The locker rooms also had great spacing, limiting awkward bumpy ng into one another when entering or exiting. I challenge you to workout here and have a place that is better in equipment, services and friendliness. read more

This location continues to raise their monthly rates which is now over $300, with no real changes for its members. Even for current members our rates are going up in January. The hours used to be 4am-12am and now Friday , Saturday and Sunday changes. They also adjusted the daycare hours. In addition, pricing for everything else is up including protein smoothies, snacks, and the day spa. I haven't seen any renovations since they opened 8-9 years ago? The gym is over crowded day and night. The parking lot is always full. They removed basketball and added pickleball? The equipment isn't updated outside of a handful of machines but they removed alot too. Who is running the show here?? Terrible job. read more

Terrible service and rude staff. In the summer time asking for only 18+ year only and no kids for the outdoor pool area during normal hours (despite there being almost nobody there as a result during Memorial Day weekend), and pools and spa facilities are constantly closed for maintenance, despite us paying almost $500 per month for family membership. I started coming to this lifetime location this summer because of the pool since the one in chestnut hill does not have one. The pool is great- you can order food there including water melon, soft pretzels, flatbreads, slush, milk, etc. There is an indoor and outdoor pool option, and the outside one has a water slide that is pretty fun. The downside about the pool is that a child always seems to poop in the pool (like 80% of the times I have been) and the pool closes for an hour at least. Additionally, there is an adults only section but it is right next to the water slide where all of the kids are constantly walking through. The yoga classes are great, but there is only one studio so it allows for less yoga classes. In general, the stations and weights and other the space is much bigger than the chestnut hill lifetime. There are basketball courts, pickle ball courts, etc. as well as the spa and cafe. The parking lot is huge and it's easy to park! The locker room isn't as nice as the chestnut hill one, but it is ok overall. The smoothies are also a lot better at chestnut hill in my opinion, but the food at this location is better! I definitely recommend checking it out and having a pool day! read more

Wonderful place. From front desk to management to facilities. All top notch. Place is super clean. Everyone is amazingly polite. People constantly cleaning. Legit like a 4 seasons. Only constructive criticism is food is quite expensive - especially 12 dollar smoothies. And they only sell their brand water which is a little scammy. Main gym floor could have more machines as well but that is probably me being nit picky. I always go at the off times so I have no issues but I'm certain at peak hours it's annoying. They should also have an adult pool or at least a section of the pool roped off for adults only. Very happy with this place!!! read more

The facility itself is top notch. I've never been to a cleaner gym and the machines are all well maintained. if anything needs maintenance (I.e. grip wears out) it is replaced immediately. I don't think you will find a better fitness floor. The all-in approach is that there are also classes day and night, yoga studio, indoor-outdoor pools, a spa, a cafe, supplements for sale, pickleball and basketball courts. the locker rooms are hands down the cleanest in any gym I have been to and include miltiple showers, towel service, shaving and bath products, a jacuzzi/sauna/steamroom. Monthly fees do take this all into account so if you think you will use the blend of services and classes then it can be a good deal but if you are solely going to go in use fitness floor and leave possibly not. I see it as a combo of fitness but also a place to relax and unwind a bit. Add ons like personal training and dynamic stretch (think Stretch Lab) are excellent and all their staff is top notch. In short, yes the price is high but you get what you pay for and if you see this as a combo fitness/entertainment play in your budget it can make a lot of sense. read more

For a standard membership of $189.00 a month you are not going to see your typical gym bro yelling and screaming for all eyes to watch. I mean this place has all the bells and whistles like that of a Mercedes Benz AMG. I like to call it BSC dates LA Fitness But LA Fitness marries Equinox. As soon as you walk in your greeted at front desk which to me looks like your booking a room at the Marriott. I mean who ever was the design team did not hold anything back from making a good first impression. So over the on the right of the main lobby you have the Life Spa and to the left you have the Life Cafe. Interestingly enough I've seen this one-stop shop design in World's Gym and Ever Fitness in Somerville but not in a large scale. It makes sense to try to keep things centralized in this immediate gratification world we live in. Why send customers to other merchants when you can have the same services where you exercise? Life Fitness accommodates 3 floors. The first floor as I already mentioned you have your life spa, cafe and locker rooms. The 2nd floor is your main exercise area with exercise machines, free weights, cardio equipment and basketball courts. The 3rd and final floor is your child and education center. I'm assuming the education center is used for new trainees and personal training. There's a group exercise room and a massive open space Astro turf carpet with flip tires, there's boxing section, battle ropes, rowing machines and squat racks. Now I only had a guest pass so I did not get a chance to see every inch of this place but the pictures that I took should give you some idea what to expect. Now I did mention the standard membership is $189.00 a month. There is a junior executive membership for those under the age 29 at $159.00 not sure what that's about but a day pass will cost you $40. Overall it's very well kept and highly maintained. For $189.00 ah, it depends on what you want as a customer. To me you can get almost the same amenities at LA Fitness for a quarter of the cost. read more

this gym has changed so much recently. first good luck trying to find a parking spot. if you only want cardio equipment it's ok. plenty of treadmills, etc.. the second floor free weights/machines area is so crowded now. can't get any machines. nobody takes plates off of bars or machines. locker rooms are also crowded. and now the monthly price is up to almost $300/month. unless you plan on using all the amenities it's very overpriced. read more

I was a guest with my brother who pays $150 a month for his membership, which does not include Pilates or the pool as those are additional charges. A wide range of parking can be found in this three level fitness center. First level are the sales offices, the cafe, a store and the locker rooms with sauna, spa and jacuzzi. The second floor had all the working machines and free weights. You will find the yoga studio and Pilates class. The third floor is for dead lifts, and circuit training. Tremendously excellent. I go to Chestnut Hill and Westwood - occasionally Metrowest. The selection of what you can do there is so expansive. The quality and breadth of experience of trainers/ teachers is amazing. Everything is clean and professional. Even the front desk welcome is friendly. I have never loved or even liked going to a gym before. I now look forward to and enjoy the cycling and yoga, and occasionally other strength and training classes . I actually try and build my schedule around what I want to do at Lifetime. Excessive as it sounds, I am less inclined to plan to get away from the winter. (as it means I can't go to my favorite LT classes. ) It is worth every penny! read more

Ugh. Have been a member for 6 years and it is hard to continue. I stay for the outdoor pool in the summer but now that area is filled with obnoxious privileged families who for some reason, suddenly this year, insist on throwing balls in the pool - I must have counted at least 8 balls being thrown around the pool at the same time while I was in the water yesterday. Footballs, tennis balls, soft balls, hard balls, sometimes thrown far across the pool taking up lots of space - even during safety breaks parents in the pool throwing balls to their kids outside of the pool - crazy! If you want to throw a ball go to a field - or your own pool! A few weeks ago I got socked hard in the face with a football! The lifeguards are all teenagers and the privileged parents/children argue with other members and lifeguards when asked to be more courteous in the pool. They need to ban throwing balls in the pool but this will never happen with this privileged clientele. Obnoxious and cringey that the people here exemplify the worst of the white suburban set that can afford the luxury of a membership here. Also lots of kids under 12 in the hot tub, so you don't even have respite here as there is no enforcement of any rules. I would complain to management but all complaints fall on deaf ears here. read more

Do not go to this gym. It is ridiculously overpriced and so many things are not included in your membership. Many classes are additional price like Pilates, Spin and some Yoga classes. So are the group workouts/bootcamps which would provide the best results. You also have to buy their heart rate monitor for $80. They purposely made it so Fitbits etc aren't compatible with their system. The personal trainers are $100 or more a session. My experience with the trainers is that they waste time talking about yours goal, yadda yadda and before you know it 45 minutes have passed by and you only have 15 minutes to workout. I ordered a smoothie in the cafe. It was $8 an it tasted horrible. I never ordered anything else after that. You can't use your LT bucks there. The spa/salon is also additional cost and you can't use your LT bucks there either. They also change policies without notice any time they want. For example the outdoor pool used to be free if you brought a guest. Now its $40. The guest policy also changes at random. I find the guest policy really unfair. You only get 2 guest passes a month and you can't let the same person come twice in one month. If I'm paying $200 plus for a membership I should have unlimited passes. Even LA finessed has an unlimited guest policy and they are a third of the price of Lifetime. I tried to suspend my membership and I found out that they still charge you $20 every month anyways. All they want is your money. I've had bad interactions with staff. I was insulted about my weight. My husband was pretty much yelled at by the front desk staff. I finally had enough and I left. If they think that granite floors, free towels and tampons are worth hundreds of dollars a person then they are crazy. My Aunt left and so did another friend of mind after they realized how much they were being screwed. Don't go to this gym. Pretty much any other gym is more cost effective an inclusive than Lifetime. I joined the Hyde Park YMCA for $16 which has the same things that Lifetime offers; they also offer financial assistance. Lifetime is a "luxury" gym that only caters to those with a lot disposable income. Don't waste your time or your money. read more

This is the best gym I have ever joined and there have been many. Although expensive, I do feel it is worth the investment in my health and well being. Let me tell you, it took me a long time to wrap my head around paying $149/month to workout, especially since there are many well-known gyms that cost $10-20/month. The classes and instructors are excellent. My favorite classes are Barbell Strength and Strike. Lifetime offers hot yoga, barre, and cycle classes included in the membership. In addition, it has indoor and outdoor pools with many lap lanes. As people told me, if you paid for these services at separate gyms and studios it would cost more. Lifetime has given me the opportunity to pursue the many activities I love without having to choose one over the other. The variety keeps me interested and motivated. They charge extra for some classes such as pilates and boot camp, which I do not like. I hope they do not continue to implement this practice in the future for classes that are currently free. Initially, I attended as a guest of a friend. A cycle instructor who I knew from a previous club encouraged me to join because she said, "Lifetime is like no other club; the people really try to get to know each other." This sums it up for me and I look forward to continuing to enjoy all that Lifetime has to offer. read more

I have been a member of Life Time in Fort Washington, Pa for two months. This past year I have been recovering from two lumbar surgeries, including a bone graft fusion. The medical community offers no real direction on rehab. I was in pain most of the time after surgery. I decided to join a health club and hope that exercising was my best option despite the pain. Life Time offers two free personal training sessions. I was assigned to MAtt Capelli. after the two intro sessions I decided to enroll in more sessions with Matt. I encouraged him to be assertive with me to help in my recovery. No one seems to know whether and which exercises and treatments make me better or worse. Matthew is very knowledgable and has many skills, beyond what one expect of a personal trainer Matt and I worked very hard. he always exceeds my expectations . he shows genuine concern. he will follow up with me by email or text. I was very fortunate to be assigned Matt Capelli. I am grateful to him and Life Time read more

The work out classes were over crowded 90% of the time for the price they charge they should be able to add one or two more "free" work out classes in the morning to help reduce the over packing of the most popular classes. I called corporate office to days ago and all they could tell me was they would forward my complaints to the GM and the regional director. Corporate needs to see these images as well. They should take ownership. The GM did call me back and left a message I'm ready to call him today. But as of this morning there is been no improvement and I gave my initial feedback a week ago. Life time food expensive and quality is bellow Burger King. Turkey avocado sandwich with mayo and no avocado. I was told "we don't even have avocados in kitchen". Bread it's hard, kale with onion no dressing. I don't think they care at all. No refund no apologies absolutely nightmare. This is my THIRD order of chicken breast over salad that was inedible, hence, why I am writing a review. Go for yourself. Order a salad. Smell the chicken. One out of four salads had decent smelling chicken. That's a 25% chance that yours won't smell funny. I confirmed with the cashier that the chicken is not fresh... it's "warmed up to get it out to the customers quickly." I posted pictures. I spoke with a manager whose response was, "we haven't had any other complaints." (But, my sister had the same experience, so that's at least two people...) Good fitness staff, poor customer service and polices. Had an expensive item stolen from me there (not the gym's fault, but something to be aware of). Bad layout for anyone that doesn't drive there (need to take two elevators and walk through a garage). My primary gripe is that they refuse to accept a cancellation online or by email. They make up reasons for this, however, there is password access to their website so if it is secure enough to put my credit card on and accept payments for services, it is certainly secure enough to cancel. Their only plausible reason is that they want you to pay until you have the time to physically go there and cancel. Then another 30 days of course (if people didn't want to cancel they wouldn't need to lock them in). When I did cancel they promised that they wouldn't put another charge (only apx $40, but its the point) on my card and refused to remove it. Of course, they did. This was the final straw to prompt my review. I am waiting to hear back from them before taking further action but I shouldn't need to. read more

I've been a member at Lifetime for the past six months. While this has been the most expensive gym membership I have ever paid for, it has far exceeded all expectations that I have ever had using a gym or paying for a fitness membership. Before, I was paying for gyms that only halfway met the expectations, and I can safely say that this gym exceeds all. The gym is large, spacious, clean, and has the latest advancements in fitness that one could ask for. It has the basics, but also "extras" that one would usually not find at a normal gym, like text notifications when classes are cancelled, Lifetime points, and Lifetime fitness areas that focus on different elements of health. The place feels like more an all inclusive fitness center than an actual "gym" and that's primarily why I like it. The downside is that the membership is a bit pricey, but in my opinion it's worth the experience and the all-inclusives of what you get. read more

You have to pay extra to use the pool yet you can't even get a chair because families put a towel down for every kid they have even though they are in the pool the entire time. Poolside Cafe is a sad version of prior years this season. My advice? Eat before you come. Took them 1 hr to prepare a basic cold salad, and when the order finally came, it was wrong. Took them another half hour to fix it. No apology. No attempt to rectify the situation. Just a request so heat said salad. No thanks! I do not want you to heat my spinach, strawberry, and blueberry salad. For the amount of money you pay, they should hire adults to run the kitchen. A complete disappointment. read more

Pros: - Tons of options for everyone (Multiple floors, cardio areas, cross fit type areas, free weights, etc.) - High end group fitness classes including Heated Yoga, Cycling, etc. - Great aquatic center with multiple lap swimming pools and a masters swim program (Costs extra though) - Clean, amenity stocked locker rooms - Cafe with healthy options Cons: - A lot of things are not included in your membership (Master's swimming, team training, etc.). that comparable nearby gyms do include - As other reviewers have mentioned there is a heavy push on signing up for things that cost above and beyond the basic membership & purchasing their supplements Overall, Life Time has kept me motivated to keep coming which is essentially what I'm looking for when joining a gym.
